She's a city girl who never turns down a spa day. He's a rugged trail guide who lives off the grid. And now they have to run a lodge together.
After losing her job at a corporate marketing firm, Kate Thompson gets an unexpected gift from her late half ownership of Pine Ridge Lodge in Hocking Hills, Ohio. The timing seems perfect for a fresh start, even if it means leaving behind her favorite coffee shops and warm weather.
What she doesn't know is that her aunt left the other half to Hunter, the lodge's gorgeous but grumpy trail guide. He's a local legend known for living in a solar-powered cabin and refusing to use the internet.
But there's a catch. They only have 90 days to turnaround the amount of bookings, or the inheritance goes to the hands of someone else.
Kate wants to transform the rustic lodge into a luxury retreat with spa treatments and wine tastings. Hunter thinks it should stay a simple hiking haven with campfire stories and starlit walks. They couldn't be more different, but they're stuck with each other.
As they argue over every detail, from installing WiFi to keeping Hunter's muddy boots off the clean floors, something unexpected happens. Kate discovers the magic of morning hikes through misty forests, while Hunter realizes that maybe some changes aren't so bad... especially when they involve a Florida girl who's finally getting better at walking in hiking boots.
But just as they start to meet in the middle, things start to happen threatens to ruin everything they've been working towards. Now they must decide if they can trust each other enough to save the lodge... a place that now feels like home.

Kate Thompson is from the city and has recently lost her job at a corporate marketing firm. Hunter is a trail guide who lives simply without frills or fancy conveniences. When Kate's Aunt Lori dies, she leaves a half-ownership in the Pine Ridge Lodge to Lori which will let her make a new start. But there are stipulations. She shares the ownership with trail guide Hunter and they have to make a success of the place within 3 months or the lodge will be given to someone else. The two of them have very different views, so will this co-ownership be successful? With Kate wanting to make the lodge a fancy luxurious spa-type environment, Hunter wants to keep things simple, focusing on hiking and camping activities. But when strange things begin to happen, like faked bad reviews, apparent listening devices invading privacy, and other such odd destructive discoveries, their success may be short-lived. Is this simply the work of a competitor? Or something more? Will working together to make the lodge a success finally begin to bring the two of them together?
This is a real ‘Who Done It’… only in this case the question is, who’s doing it? The suspects are many but the real question is why does someone want to undermine Aunt Lori’s will?
Fake online reviews are being posted about bed bugs and also theft. And how are private and sensitive conversations being heard? Just who is listening in? Lots of questions but no answers... YET. Just what is the end game? Does Hunter know something he’s not revealing? How does Derek and Farah know things that haven’t been disclosed, and just how can Maya’s 14 year old son afford to buy her a heavy real gold bracelet? Who is Farah's hacker friend ...hmm?
Does Kate’s mother play a role here? After all she did keep Kate from getting her aunt’s letters. Just what was the feud between the sisters and how is the lodge involved?
What secrets can be uncovered as we continue to read. No answers yet but little by little I try guessing just who is who.... and WHY.

This series continues to be a real page turner filled with emotional ups and downs. Every time Kate and Hunter approach a real truce and understanding something new happens to mess it up. A planted listening device in the conference room at the lodge brings them together to try to figure out who planted it and why. Then they have several real differences of opinion such as hiring staff for the lodge without discussing with each other as they had agreed to do with everything. They have a strange bond which sometimes feels like friendship, sometimes more, sometimes much less, but always complicated. And the rumors abound of bed bugs, guests having things stolen while staying at the lodge, etc. And then there is Hunter’s ex-girlfriend, Farrah, who always tends to show up and have bad news of some sort, this time once again implicating Hunter? How do we get past this? Can’t wait to see how the author gets around this newest situation.

Kate is trying to get to the bottom of the issue with a bad review being posted on their website for the lodge. Hunter and Kate have hired back some of the staff that were originally at the lodge before Laurie got sick. Things are going more than better as they are almost fully booked for the Christmas break. They have scheduled different events to do with Christmas for the lodge. Everything is going great until Farah comes to talk to Kate about the review. Apparently it was posted from Hunter's home on the property. After all that Kate and Hunter have been through together, this is a big disappointment to Kate. This sure wasn't what Kate was expecting to hear! I can't wait for the next book it is getting so exciting!.

OMG things are really going from bad to worse at the Lodge for Kate and Hunter. The bad review has really taken a toll on Kate but they cannot locate the source of the review, especially when the person names doesn’t appear on the Lodge’s records. Then Kate discovers a listening devise which throws Kate and Hunter off balance but the worst of it is that Farrah has discovered that the review came from a computer owned by Hunter. Is Hunter the culprit or could it be that someone is setting him up to appear that way? Too many things happening and Kate does not know which way to turn We’re getting closer to the end of this series and I am so curious as to who is behind all the bad reviews and drama that is happening.

And we are back to Hocking Hills, for the 4th installment of this story, think of it as the following chapters of a longer book.
This time Kate is plagued by the idea that the inn is getting horrible on line reviews, especially when they cannot find that guest in their record. But, there is more to the story as they find a listening device, and they think Farah is part of the plot against them. THere are so many secrets an small details that keep popping up at every turn, and keeps you guessing, who did? I guess one of the mysteries is also if Kate and HUnter will be a couple, or just business partners. LEt's see what happens next!.

A Floridian survived her first blizzard. It's Christmastime at the lodge with lots of fun activities to come. More to worry about, like rumors and what to believe, and who's guilty and involved. Again, something points to Hunter, like he has secret knowledge, including IT. MMC can't be guilty. Makes me wonder if someone is good in the IT department. Still don't know the real reason for Hunter's hostility towards his ex. Is she really mean or vengeful? I hope no one dares to ruin Christmas for the guests; that would be unacceptable.

This book had me convinced I knew what was going on when I started it but as I kept reading my brain was saying WHAT HAPPENED! And even more questions have been brought up and now I am unsure why things are happening. Sage Parker is doing an amazing job with tossing curves into the story and I love that. Kate is so unsure who to trust and confide in. She wants to make the lodge a success but now isn’t sure if that will happen. Hunter wants it to be the lodge that he knows Kate’s Aunt wanted when she left it to Kate and Hunter in her will.

-Kate’s new start at Pine Ridge turns turbulent fast, with sabotage and secrets threatening everything she and Hunter are building. Their clashing visions for the lodge only heighten the tension as mysterious reviews, eavesdropping, and hidden motives pile up. I received a free copy and am voluntarily sharing my honest thoughts.
Every character feels like a suspect, keeping the puzzle sharp and the stakes high right to the end. A gripping blend of romance and whodunit that makes turning the next page irresistible. The story continues with many questions….
Saving the Lodge, Book 4, continues the story of Kate and Hunter as they deal with identified problems and mysteries occurring at the lodge. Kate survives her first blizzard with Hunter where they open up and share personal information. When the power returns, Kate is able to read the letters her aunt had written to her but were returned by her mother. Someone is attempting to interfere with the guest reservations by posting false information on their site. The book ends in a cliffhanger.

The troubles continue at the lodge. First a review about bed bugs, then about things disappearing from guest rooms. The listening devices seem to have several people with knowledge of things that they shouldn't. When Farrah finds the ip address of the bed bug complaint, it is more than concerning. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from BookSprout and this is my honest review. I can't wait to see what's next.
Sage Parker delivers another moving installment to this series. I was already invested in this group to see what we'd uncover. This next part made me want even more. Sage has a way of getting you to root for people while also wanting to rush them along so you can find out the truth. She is one of the few serial style writers I'll read.

Kate is working to save the lodge but she has to remember that Hunter is her partner. They both were important to her aunt as was the lodge. Now, Farrah isn’t an unbiased element in this book. Knowing that she and Hunter have a past WHY does Kate trust her so much??? Really?? Come on next book to provide at least little bit of clarity!!!.

Wow, someone is listening to what is happening at the Inn and Hunter and Kate need to find out ASAP. Who wants to deny Hunter and Kate the Inn? Will Kate finally trust Hunter and not let the lies interfere with their growing bond? So many questions and so many mishaps to solve. This gets better by the book.
Lori may have put a plan in place by leaving the Onnto Hunter and Kate, now to discover what is truly going on...
Sage had me on the brink of breaking down, I love how the relationship between Hunter and Kate is progressing and I can not wait to see how their story ends even if this only book four of six.
The ups and downs of this series has me wondering who is behind the bad review, listening device and town rumors of theft. Book 5 can't come fast enough.

This is another great episode in the Holidays in Hocking Hills series with the struggles of saving the lodge continuing. Every time things seem to be going better for Kate and Hunter, another mishap occurs. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

The story continues with a few more twists but some interesting facts and some more clues emerge. There is romantic tension between the two characters and they try to fight it but they have to work together. Cannot wait to read more.

Kate and Hunter seem to always be in a rush trying to come up with ideas for the lodge. Christmas has arrived and because of new marketing ideas from Kate, they are almost as capacity. Now, rumors are showing up online with bad reviews. Kate is thinking one way because of everything she has on her plate. I’m beginning to think an entirely different way. I’d love to be able to tell.
There are mysterious things going on at the lodge. Bed bug rumors and rumors that someone is stealing things from the guests are just the latest problems.

The twists and turns were pretty good. They had you just guessing. The characters were fun and very interesting. The characters were trying to be the best they could be. I enjoyed this book from start to finish.
Kate and Hunter are trying hard to make the lodge a success. Someone is posting bad reviews online. There are many suspects but not sure who is behind the drama. I can't wait to see what happens in book 5.

Kate and Hunter are moving forward but more and more is being revealed about the inn. I love how they are working together to solve the mysteries but also getting closer at the same time.

Bad news in book four. Online reviews are not good news for the lodge. Hunter and Kate are getting closer except for the ups and downs. Can’t wait to read book five hopefully good news in it
Another cute addition to the series that was easy and relaxing to read. I liked the setting and overall vibe, but the story itself didn’t have much impact for me. Solid, but not memorable.
