She's a city girl who never turns down a spa day. He's a rugged trail guide who lives off the grid. And now they have to run a lodge together.
After losing her job at a corporate marketing firm, Kate Thompson gets an unexpected inheritance from her late Pine Ridge Lodge in Hocking Hills, Ohio.
In desperate need of fresh start, she heads north, even if it means leaving behind comfort and warm weather.
What she doesn't know is that her aunt left the other half to Hunter, the lodge's gorgeous but grumpy trail guide. He's a local legend known for living in a solar-powered cabin and refusing to use the internet.
But there's a catch. They only have 90 days to hit a certain amount of bookings, or the inheritance gets passed over them both.
Kate wants to transform the rustic lodge into a luxury retreat with spa treatments and wine tastings. Hunter thinks it should stay a simple hiking haven with campfire stories and starlit walks. They couldn't be more different, but they're stuck with each other.
As they argue over every detail, from installing WiFi to keeping Hunter's muddy boots off the clean floors, something unexpected happens. Kate discovers the magic of morning hikes through misty forests, while Hunter realizes that maybe some changes aren't so bad... especially when they involve a Florida girl who's finally getting better at walking in hiking boots.
But just as they start to meet in the middle, strange things start to happen, threatening to ruin everything they've been working towards. Now they must decide if they can trust each other enough to save the lodge before time runs out...

I was looking forward to this last book in the series and it turned out the way I had already thought it would! Kate and Hunter had worked so hard to fulfill the bookings for Lauri's wishes so they could run the lodge. They were so close until a snow storm happened and their last booking cancelled. Hunter and Kate were so frustrated and felt let down because of all the hard work. Right close to their time limit they found out that Farrah was the one that would be taking over the lodge if they didn't succeed. Farrah was so full of herself it was ridiculous. She was the one that had sabatoged everything, right from the beginning so that they would fail. She confessed and was rubbing it in big time that they had lost. Then, the meeting happened about the will. Farrah ended up being the loser in this game, as Lauri, had left a letter in the envelope that said she wanted Hunter and Kate to work together as a team in order to take over the lodge, and they did. A year later Hunter and Kate got married at the lodge a year from the date that he had picked her up on the side of the road when she hit a pot hole and blew her tire. Absolutely loved this story, another great one from Sage Parker!.

They say, All’s Well That Ends Well… ahh, but that’s the problem, things are not going well for Kate and Hunter, and time is running out. The unexpected snow storm keeping paying guests away is tough enough, but when you realize there’s a traitor in the midst sabotaging things, it becomes almost impossible to fulfill Aunt Lori’s will.
One must wonder what on earth was Aunt Lori thinking when writing that will? Was she in anyway pressured or even threatened, or did she have an end game in mind? We know the saboteur had to be someone from the ‘inner circle’, but who? There’s a list of candidates but finding them and undoing the damage takes time, and that’s something Kate and Hunter don’t have.
Not to give spoilers, we eventually learn who’s the culprit… but is it too late? Just know this, while eliminating the list of who that shyster could be, look for clues. Not everything is how it seems …. just know “pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before the fall”. Keeping that in mind will lead to the truth.

Kate and Hunter should be proud of themselves; they would've been successful if there hadn't been interference from a person with nefarious interests, as I suspected all along, and from bad weather. The setbacks give way to great ideas and their excetutions. I like that they're reasonable and waiting to explore their feelings. A nice, emotional ending to this story.
It seems they would be in the dark on their own about who's guilty. It's not so satisfying that there's no real punishment. I couldn't really understand some of the workers' explanations, maybe to confuse the course of the story. Also, it was needless for Kate to withhold information from Hunter about needing help from a specific person.

I was so excited to have this book in my hands to finally uncover who the mischief maker was at the Lodge and I was not disappointed and I was pleasantly surprised by Aunt Lori’s devious mind when we found the truth about who was behind all the drama and also who inherited the Lodge. Aunt Lori played with all our hearts but she had her reasons and it finally all fell into place for Kate and Hunter and for their future. A lot of things were at play in this book and although we felt the stress that Kate and Hunter felt throughout it was well worth the wait. A perfect ending to a perfect story.

This was a well written story of two people who were entrusted to keep the inn that Lori had loved. When Hunter and Kate first met, they were not on the same page. As the sabotage on the lodge kept coming, they worked together to find a way to save the lodge. New Years Eve was the straw that broke the camel's back. As they struggled to find out who was trying to hurt them, they became closer. Never underestimate the power of family. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from Book Sprout, and this is my honest review.
Saving the Lodge, Book 6, concludes the story of Hunter and Kate as they strive to meet the deadline expectations of her Aunt Lori's will. Secrets are revealed including the villain who recorded the occupants on New Year's Eve and confesses their acts of sabotage against the Inn. The book has a delightful ending with all questions being answered. This is an extraordinary series which I highly recommend.

The ending to this series was one I was hoping for as I read. Hunter and Kate had been doing everything they could to make sure the lodge to be able to own the lodge but after everything that had been done to sabotage their efforts, they weren’t sure. Thankfully the guilty person got caught and the book ended they way it needed to.

Wow, what a way to end this series. Farrah finally got what she deserved and Lori was brilliant when it came to her Lodge and her niece, Kate. Hunter is an adorable grumpy who finally met the woman born for him and Lori knew it all along. The ending was beautifully written and it was touching to read that Kate and her mom became closer. Well done, Sage!!!.

As everything comes to an end so many answers are revealed. All the mystery of who’s been sabotaging Kate & Hunter. Funny how greed makes people do some pretty bad things.

My favorite part of this collection was watching Kate and Hunter’s love story develop. I was right about who I thought was the saboteur but I wanted that character to get more consequences. There are a few surprises that made this conclusion satisfying.

Sabotage, secrets, and mounting pressure keep the tension high until the truth is revealed. Heartwarming, well-earned, and beautifully wrapped up with love, justice, and a perfect ending.
An absolutely fantastic series! I couldn't turn pages fast enough to see what would happen next. All questions answered in this series finale and I couldn't be happier the way it all turned out. This was a well thought out, interesting and entertaining story. Plenty of surprises, emotion, suspense and a sweet romance too. What an adventure! I loved it!.

This was a great ending to a great series. Kate and Hunter missed their chance to have the lodge. Even after Farrah was the one behind sabotaging them. After the final will was fully read it was given to them by her aunt fair and square. A nice little series with a lot of surprises and especially the happy ending
The conclusion of a really good story. A lot of questions were answered and secrets were revealed. Like the characters and the interesting perspective they brought to the story. Like the setting in the background of the story. Good read.

The final and sixth book in the Saving the lodge was the perfect wrap-up to an excellent and interesting series, the HEA with surprises was the perfect ending to an interesting series. A worth it read for sure. Five stars for the series and looking forward to reading more Sage Parker work.
This is the last installment in this story. Sabotage and mystery of who was responsible for it makes this story unbelievable. It ends with a surprise for all involved.
