Maeve and Tia have been friends all of their lives. They live in St. Aldin in Cornwall. Tia is engaged to Thom and hopes to finally be able to afford their wedding. It’s perfect that she works at a shop owned by her aunt called Brides by the Sea.
Maeve had a one night stand about 10 years ago with a guy she has admired all of her life, Lando. It turned out that she gave birth to Nemmie some months later that was a total surprise as she had no idea she was even pregnant. She hasn’t seen him since.
Maeve lives with her mother and two younger siblings plus a host of foster children. They are all sad and angry that her older brother who was doing so well and making lots of money has seen it profoundly fail leaving many family members out of pocket as they had given him money to keep his businesses going.
Maeve and Tia are working together to make videos of them in wedding dresses at places around the island for social media to increase sales at the wedding shop.
When Maeve literally runs into Lando, she is shocked to see him. Turns out he will be there for sometime taking care of his and his wealthy family’s business interests. Fighting her continued attraction to Lando, Maeve does her best to avoid him.
Maeve has a small beach hut given her by her grandmother. While it’s small, the wedding shop thinks that it will make a perfect venue for a couple who can’t afford a big place. With a minimum of guests and food, it will be great for a small wedding and Tia asks to have the first wedding there.
This is my first time reading this author. While the idea of this story is good, I have to admit that I found some of the writing to be somewhat disjointed. Maeve is a bit of an airhead as well. That said, I did enjoy the story and look forward to reading more of the author’s books.

Ooh not only is this a new St Aiden novel, but it also features heavily The Little Wedding Shop by the Sea, and as a massive fan of all of these books, I was utterly delighted to see Jess, Poppy and Sera again, as well as mentions of characters from many other books of this series.
As a Jane Linfoot fan all of this pleased me a great deal before I even got too far into this latest totally standalone novel.
I loved Maeve and Lando's story, both hearing about them from 10 years previous, and also getting to know them now as fully grown adults.
Maeve was a daughter, Nemmie as a result of one night with Lando 10 years ago, the night before he went off on an adventure with her brother, and she hadn't seen him since. So Lando is unaware that he is a father.
As fates would have it, they literally run into each other in a fun meet cute style situation and then are thrown together a lot over the summer, will both of them fighting all manner of emotions towards each other.
Add in the newest wedding venue in town a lot of different brides and situations, plus the fact that Nemmie and the other kids her age in the complex family set up that Maeve has, being totally wonderful, and incredibly clever and determined and you have all the elements of a fabulous book.
Add in some humour with some wedding dress mishaps, and a couple of large dogs too and this is an absolute joy to read.

Perfect romantic read. Great book to catch up on friends from the series. This series of books is always like coming home. Beautiful scenery, food, friendships, the wedding dresses are beautiful and it’s just a stunning series. One of my absolute favourites. Maeve is a single mum to Nemmie. Nemmie is 9. They live together with their dog Angel with her Mum and foster siblings. Maeves brother Sal is a property developer and has loaned money from most of his friends and family and now Maeves mum is short and it’s a huge worry.
Maeve takes on work at the wedding dress shop and begins a social media campaign to get more business into the town. Her first day she falls into the watery arms of Lando her first love who has been away for 10 years since the night of their one night stand producing Nemmie. Only he doesn’t know nor does anyone but Maeves best friend. The summer is spent on the social media campaign with Lando playing a husband to Maeves bride and lots of fun and friendship happens along the way.
This is a great book. Very recommended.

There is plenty of slapstick humour, balanced by some emotional moments, plus children and dogs, so you can't go wrong. It is one of those cases where you want to bang the main characters heads together as they obviously have strong feelings for each other, but there are secrets keeping them apart. It does show that having well-off parents isn't necessarily a good thing and conversely how a loving home life isn't a given. An ideal beach read and I'm looking forward to reading any new books in this setting.

A visit to St. Aidan, Cornwall, always guarantees drama, fun and romance, and this second-chance story of forgiveness and love is an engaging addition. Maeve's life didn't turn out as planned, but she has no regrets about having her unexpected daughter, Nemmie, whom she has raised with the love and support of her family. When the father unexpectedly returns, it creates many conflicts, especially as Maeve and Lando still share an inconvenient attraction. The storytelling is immersive, capturing the coastal setting, community, and the charm of the unfolding events. It's an emotional story with family drama, misunderstandings, and the gradual forgiveness of actions and secrets kept. I like the characters, the coastal setting and the slow-burn romance.

⭐⭐⭐⭐A lovely story in a beautiful setting. Windflowers beach hut sounds like the most idyllic place to get married and Maeve and Landon the perfect people to help you achieve your dream wedding, even if they can't see they are perfect for each other. I've decided I want to.movevto St Aiden's myself and see if I can get a job with Maeve and Tia. You soon get wrapped up in all the goings on and feel like you become part of the friends and family in the book. I've not read any other books by @janelinfoot but I certainly will be reading more.⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was a lovely sweet read. Mauve is the owner of the beach hut, but needs to broaden the need for it. When she decides to start doing wedding, she needs some advertising. In walks Lando who reappears after years, he’s the groom in the advertising campaign, but will love blossom between them? It’s a nice, easy read, beautiful surroundings and lovely characters. A great summer read. 5 stars. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for a copy.

I have just realised that the book I downloaded has the wrong title, but never mind, we are back in St. Aiden in the world of the Little Wedding Shop By the Sea, so it was good to catch up with characters I first met years ago. This story is very much escapist reading and I could've knocked the lead characters ' heads together for their lack of honest communication but it was a lovely story all the same.

A fun and charming, heart‑warming story back in fictional St Aiden! The Cornish Beach Hut Wedding by Jane Linfoot is an absolute treat, as always from this author. Another gorgeous read that is full of romance, mishaps and miscommunication and that brilliant coastal charm she writes so well. The beach hut setting for the wedding venture feels wonderfully niche, cute and you can picture yourself there on the beach at each wedding – complete with disasters! The story mixes humour, friendship, and antics with heartfelt, sincere moments that keep you right there with each character. They are really endearing, old familiar faces as well as new; the relationships whether friendship or romantic feel genuine, and you just hope for the ending they deserve. It’s the kind of book that lifts your mood and leaves you wishing you could step straight into its seaside world. A perfect feel good read for anyone who loves romance with heart and a gorgeous sense of place. Highly recommend both this book but all by Jane Linfoot.

This story was great from start to finish! There are laugh out loud moments, followed by cringe worthy ones. Every character had a part to play and it was done so well. They are very relatable. The descriptions brought you right into the pages of this story. I hated for this story to come to an end.

I did enjoy this book and the concept was really nice, I liked the characters and the story unfolded really well, I though it was going to get a bit frustrating with all the "misunderstandings" but it finished off well.
There was a lot of description of wedding dresses but I just speed read those bits.

This was a beautiful warm cosy read. I read this as a standalone book as understand there are others in the series, but this did not taint the story at all. Very likable characters with perhaps a predictable ending but again this did not spoil the read. A good mix of humour and a beautiful setting.

Such a lovely story, got me ready for the family wedding coming up. As with most of the books I read, there are a few twists and turns in the story. They also have some delicious recipes at the end, that I will be trying out soon.

Aw I do love a happy ending 💓. A fun read, that will make you smile. I haven't read all the previous books and you don't need to. Just a really lovely story which makes me feel happy x x I loved being part of the journey, very special and as I say, I do love a happy ending ♥️
