A Cozy Christmas Romance Wrapped in Mystery and Magic

After laying her grandmother to rest just weeks before Thanksgiving, Lola Wexler-Parsons feels truly alone — no family left, no husband, no children, and no hope on the horizon. At 33, she fears she’s fading into the quiet life of a forgotten woman.

In a moment of aching nostalgia, she bakes her grandmother’s famous Buttery Sugar Christmas Cookies, unaware that the recipe carries a secret enchantment. With every warm batch, something begins to stir in the snowy town of Declan Falls — whispers of luck, healing… and love.

Enter Dominic Mason — a widowed single father desperate to rebuild his life for his three children. He came to this picture-perfect town for peace, but his late wife’s death still hides unanswered questions, and shadows from his past refuse to stay buried.

When Dominic tastes one of Lola’s cookies, something changes — in him, in her, and in the town itself.

Their slow-burning connection feels like destiny… but just as love begins to glow, strange accidents, lurking figures, and chilling secrets creep into their path.

Is Declan Falls blessed… or cursed?
Are Lola’s cookies a miracle… or a warning?
Will love save them — or expose them to danger?

I downloaded this freebie for my Kindle last month. I thought it would be a quick, cute read. The storyline was good. BUT, the book was totally ruined for me with no editing whatsoever. Run on sentences, punctuation in the wrong places (if at all), missing capitalization, misspelled words and characters who’s names were even misspelled after introducing them the first time, and that’s just half of it. At times the reader couldn’t even tell who was talking since there weren’t any symbols like “ “. I mean come on, get a proof reader! Glad I didn’t pay for this book. DON’T waste your time or precious Kindle space on this one.
