The Dark Healer (Book #13):

Scoundrels are always afraid of the truth. It reveals their true colors, which are otherwise concealed beneath a veneer of decency.

The necromancer prince Max Richter can find the truth wherever it's in a magical prison atop a remote mountain, in the depths of foci poisoned by Abomination, or even in the past.

Traitors, beware! The Richter clan's bone hounds are already on your trail.

I received a review copy of this book.
Dark Healer book 12 is the latest offering in this series. If you're reading the series, I don't need to tell you to go grab this book, but if for some reason after 11 other books, you're still on the fence, I can tell you stop delaying, and go get the book already.
In this installment in the series, we find out some rather interesting things about what happened when Max went for his initial 50 year rest that turned into 1000 years instead. We also learn more about the character introduced at the end of the previous book, although why she was only in the beginning of the book, I don't know, after she gets settled, she disappears from the story. A real shame that, figured she'd figure prominately in the story, but no such luck.
On the other hand, we do get to see Max and crew handle a particularly bothersome enemy that has been bugging them the whole series, but wasn't really named until recently, and we also get to see a hostage rescue of epic proportions, not to mention, a big reveal about one of the characters in the story. All around, a good story piece, so if you're still waiting, cut that out, and go get the book, it's well worth the read.

I am addicted to these action-packed adventures!

These wonderful quick stories are my addiction! They entertain me better than any drugs I could imbibe and way cheaper! In this action-packed adventure we get to know Elena the hermit rescued from a foci. An actual a member of the Richter family and she's lived long enough to know how the Richter clan fell. And man, has Simon Favero been holding back vital information about himself where Maximilian Richter has'ta ferret it out, in return Max gets so much more, like finding that a interesting pebble he'd picked up was actually a diamond... I was really happy to see Spaghetti again I have a big soft spot for Kraken!
So yeah grab the book to feed your own addiction...

intrigue. and new surprises

Max goes stronger.

They fight the current “prince” enemy. No spoilers!

A forgotten person is found with tales of what has happened over the centuries.

More intrigue. They travel to find a scientist that studies abomination. Alliances are made. More Secrets revealed. Max is slowly understanding what the Great Princes have done while he was in deep rest.

Battles!

Great book. Read it.

Exotic but not great

The events of the book are just one huge side quest which sets up possible major changes in the next books.. Sadly, i was not really invested in the events of the book.

Hopefully, the next book will be better again.

Lost 2 stars for NOT writing a Recap.

I think every reader needs to start doing this to force authors to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.

Good read

Overall, it's a good read. At times, i felt we
were losing the storyline, but it came together. Still enjoying.
