Our group of misfit besties love the holidays!
We love planning things for every single one. That means the last couple of months of the year usually whizz by with planning and crafting I love! But this year, they’ve decided we need to step out of our comfort zone. Instead of annual Halloween-themed book club, they want us to visit a haunted house that ends with a masquerade ball.
Somehow, they’ve talked me (Captain Scaredy Pants) into going with them, and I’m not going to lie—I’m so out of my element!
One wrong turn, and I find myself in the arms of a mysterious vampire daddy who makes me tingle with anticipation. Will it be love at first bite? Or should I let him nibble me up to make sure it’s the real thing?

This one was a super cute, fast paced, age gap romance with a Halloween twist. Tabitha is a shy, loves routine, school teacher who has her 3 best friends as her only family. I loved how she came out of her shell to try something new, and that paid off in a big way! Brewster wanted more from life, and he got it through creating some Halloween magic that brought him Tabitha. I loved how he immediately stepped into the taking care of her role, right down to the sending his info to her friends. This was steamy, kinky and oh so good. A few spelling errors and names of her friends mixed up, but nothing that took me out of the story. No cheating or OM/OW drama, one night stand turned to more, dual POV, HEA and a cute epilogue in the future. Can’t wait for Abby’s book and to see who the other ladies end up with!

**Masquerade Party!**
"Love at First Bite" is part of the Love at First series. I really enjoyed the short, instant romance between Tabitha and Brewster. It was definitely a spicy Halloween treat that I could curl up with at the end of a long day. I loved that it was Tabitha who approached Brewster at the masquerade party, stepping out of her comfort zone to go to him, even though he had noticed her all night.
The chemistry between them is super hot, and the dirty talk combined with the daddy kink adds just the right amount of spice. The story leads to a happy ever after (HEA), so who doesn’t love an age-gap romance with no cheating, a Halloween vibe, and plenty of spice? What more could you ask for?

Instead of their usual annual Halloween-themed book club, our FMCs friends want to visit a haunted house that ends with a masquerade ball. Though not all too enthused about going, she does, and it definitely turned out well for her!
As expected with an instalove novella, there wasn't a whole lot of plot here, but honestly thats exactly what I want when picking up an easy read in between longer books. You've got halloween costumes (witch x vampire) and age gap/daddy vibes in a small town setting, making it a perfect quick read for spooky season!
It was definitely a cute and quick read, with quite a bit of spice too. Hopefully we get similar books for the rest of the friend group!

Mayra Statham fue mi revelación este año.
Me encanta todo lo que escribe, asi que, este libro no fue la excepción.
Es rápido, romántico, ingenioso y muy spicy cuando debe serlo. Quizás mi única queja es que es demasiado corto. Me hubiera gustado más persecución, que extendiera la trama y disfrutar del libro un poco más de tiempo.
*El juego de verdad o reto es muy divertido y diferente, quizás mi parte favorita del libro.

It’s Halloween and Tabitha has been hit with unusual courage to approach Count Dracula at the event her friends talked her into attending. Tabby is usually a creature of habit, not doing anything crazy. But tonight is different. She approaches her masked man and tries to come up with a fun pick up line.
They end up exchanging a Halloween sexy version of Truth or date. Loved the spicy moments and emotions of the characters. Mostly Tabitha’s viewpoint but a couple chapters from Brewster.

Even though she is nervous Tabitha agrees to attend a Halloween party with her best friends. When she sees Brewster, a swoony vampire, she is convinced to approach him and the sparks fly.
Lately Brewster has been feeling a little discontented with his life but that all changes when he meets Tabitha. He knows that she is what has been missing in his life and that one night one night will never be enough.
The chemistry between them is intense and both are all in when it comes to their relationship. I also enjoyed the friendship she shares with her besties.

If I knew this is what happened at Halloween parties/events, I would have been going to them for YEARS!!! So, somehow I keep unknowingly reading books that have a daddy shmink and it just keeps continuing to be something I don't super love 🤷♀️, but I will say I enjoyed the crap out of the story. The entire exchange that takes place between Brew and Tabitha at the bar was so good. Their entire first night together had me so hooked 🔥🥵🔥!

This was a cute age gap romance. It was a short story with a fast pace and a good Halloween vibe. I liked the characters, not only Tabitha and Brewster but also her friends who were quite instrumental in getting Tabitha and Brewster to meet in the first place. They had great chemistry and I liked them together.

Read in one sitting!! I could not put this down once I had started. Love Tabitha and her found family and I could relate to her so much.
And then there is Brew! Damn! *swoons hard! When Tabitha steps out of her comfort zone, it seems as though things truly do happen for a reason. And I am here for all of it.

I really enjoyed Love at First Bite its light hearted, steamy, Daddy Kink, Halloween themed, with character pov, no cheating and a HEA.
Nice easy read that had me hooked from the start and held it all the way through. I knew I'd enjoy it when I read the words vampire Daddy, and Mayra didn't disappoint.

Love at First Bite by Mayra Statham is the instalove story of Brewster and Tabitha. Halloween meeting of the vampire and the witch. Truth or Dare never played so well!!! The sizzle between these two is palpable and the draw is indisputable. You could feel the tension. Loved, loved, loved this short, exciting read!!

This was my first book from this author, and I had such a good time with it! The chemistry hits right from that first bar scene and just keeps building.
Definitely curious to read the rest of the friend group’s stories next.

What kind of trick or treat with Tabitha receive on this Halloween. Hmmm maybe a truth or dare game with the sexy vampire. Ohhh and the fun things that can happen. This is my first time reading a Mayra Statham book and I enjoyed it. Thanks to the author for this advanced reader copy.

Tabitha and Brewster have an amazing connection! Their romance and chemistry are off the charts.
Tabitha is such a relatable character, and Brewster is perfect for her. I loved their story. It's quick and steamy!
