Amu’s Guardian Characters have been stolen by her teacher, a bitter man whose dreams died when his own egg was smashed. When Amu goes to reclaim her Characters, the School Guardians are there to help. But can they get Amu’s eggs back and put the evil teacher’s egg together again?
Peach-Pit (ピーチ・ピット Pīchi Pitto) is a female manga artist duo in Japan, made up of Banri Sendo (千道 万里 Sendō Banri) and Shibuko Ebara (えばら 渋子 Ebara Shibuko). Their group name derives from the diner hangout Peach-Pit from the TV show Beverly Hills, 90210. Although both have similar styles, with some artwork it is possible to identify which artist drew it. Both are known for their bishōjo styled works. As noted in their books, they are both Geminis and have "Almost flushed our phones down the toilet...twice."
The two of them grew up together and went to the same elementary school and have been best friends ever since. Both started as doujinshi manga artists, but not as Peach-Pit. Then they were scouted by Dengeki Comic Gao!. In 2008, one of their manga, Shugo Chara!, was awarded the Kodansha Manga Award for best children's manga. Shugo Chara was also turned later into an Anime television series.
Re-read 2022: OHHHHHH! This one was GOOD! We continue where we left off, with that phoney teacher taking Amu's eggs and leaving her vulnerable and sad. I am glad that she had the guardians, Ikuto, and even Utau for a bit to help her out! And that fortune teller was wonderful and made me laugh because she had some brilliant expressions on her face. Loved that Utau is also able to change with her egg, just like Amu. Not a half-way thing just a bit of personality change, no the whole deal. The last part, with the phoney teacher and his story, well, I am still a bit on the fence about him, but I do like him a bit more. He really has another side to himself. I flew through this one! So happy I am re-reading this series.

Re-read 2017: Ohhh, exciting stuff is happening in this one. Though I definitely, at least at first, disliked that teacher oh so much, but we saw another side to him, and I slowly start to like him. He deserves some happiness. While of course I think it is a bit extreme to go this way, I can see why he changed so much.
We also see more of Utau, and I was so happy to see her. She is one of my favourite characters and I want to see her more. Like Amu she can transform fully, and like Amu she has more than one egg. Plus she seems to have a bit more of a conscious than her fellow Easter peeps. She does want the embryo, but she doesn’t want to do cheap shots to get it.
I feel sorry for those that lost their eggs, it must be terrible to either lose it or break it. So I am happy that Amu may just help out with this, she can change them back/fix them. Lots of dreams will be returned to their owners.
Of course there is more Ikuto x Amu, and I was just squeeing in delight, especially during that romantic scene at the park. It seems they are destined to get together. Amu the one who holds the lock, Ikuto the one who holds the key.
I loved that Amu found her resolve. She really gains a lot of strength and bravery in this one. She is going to go against Easter, she is going to save those X eggs. Go Amu!
A fun shojo series strongly in the vein of Card Captor Sakura with well drawn art and amusing moments. Volume 3 continues and concludes the story arc that ended in a cliffhanger in the previous volume. For the most part I did enjoy this arc as we got to know a little more about some of the main characters while getting to enjoy more of Su as an actual character (instead of simply as a generic character type). I did have a minor issue with the way everyone was so conveniently resolved with everything being restored as to the way it was with the deus ex machina ability of Su's. Especially after all that machinations Nikaido went though, to suddenly say 'all is forgiven' was a bit hard to swallow. But I guess this really wouldn't be a mahou shojo series if it was. :) Overall, nothing offensive, alot to enjoy and laugh with.
"The 'person you want to be' will be renewed and shine brighter. And will be born again as many times as you like."
5 stars for how they portrayed it not being too late to turn around and pursue a dream. Further, that your dream doesn't have to be the same one you've had. It can evolve. (Almost as if people are constantly changing and adapting and you're never exactly the same person you were yesterday...huh)

This Volume has Ikuto heavily feature in it, so it was always going to be a favourite. Not only do we see the fact that he will try and subtly help Amu out when she's in trouble (though his motives are still unclear at this point), but that the two of them have a great chemistry such as the scene at the amusement park. The two interact so well together.
As always the pacing of this Volume was great. Three chapters concluding the Arc with Amu's Guardian Characters being stolen (a great conclusion as well), followed by a fun chapter to de-escalate all the tension. Loved it!
Nyt ehkä kolmannessa osassa alkaa jotenkin päästä paremmin sisälle tähän tarinaan.
Henkilöhahmojen motiiveja paljastetaan ja taustatarinat saavat enemmä lihaa luille. Ajoittain kaoottisuus hieman häiritsee, mutta selkeästi nyt ollaan rauhoituttu edellisistä osista, jolloin tarinaan saadaan lisää syvyyttä.
Suosittelen tätä kirjaa kaikille, joita manga, ajoittain söpöily ja japanilainen koulukulttuuri kiinnostavat 😊
For whatever reason this one was harder for me to read and stick with, and it took me nearly two months to read which is ridiculous for a book this size. Ugh. Still enjoyed the story though.
This installment had a lot to do with redemption: the bad guys aren't always bad. A change of heart can be just around the corner, and that is such a touching message.
Also: MY HEART BURNS FOR AMU AND IKUTO. Age difference be damned, I support the hell out of them!
You know 99% of my problems with this manga would be solved if everyone was older or there was no romance side story but the story keeps pushing an 11 year old and a high schooler. But the rest of it, the message of having future dreams and not letting them die is a good one.
Review by K.M. : "I feel happy when I read this manga, it is so cute and fun that I just want to keep reading, and I know that those who like cute and easy reading manga [will] like this."
This book series has a fun take on the magical girl trope. The characters are diverse and interesting and you very quickly become invested in the story.
