I continue to be absolutely captivated by this series, with this volume being no exception!

Meeting Aphrodite and her interactions with Colette were downright hilarious! I laughed out loud several times and deeply enjoyed her presence on page because you can know that if she is around, there will never be a dull moment! LOL!

I'm glad that she was also able to push Colette to be a little more forward with her affections towards Hades because she hasn't initiated often, but I was all for it once she asked Aphrodite for some "love counseling" of sorts. LOL! Granted, I am with Colette that Aphrodite's ideas were too much and couldn't help but be embarrassed right alongside Colette! Hahaha!

For all the fun the first volume was, though, the second volume really hit in the feels. I was very thankful to see Dio and Hermes since they are some of my favorite characters, but seeing everything unfold with Rini (good and bad) really hit my heart. It reminded me to treasure the relationship I have with my parents even with the disagreements we have.

While I'm not in a similar place as Rini in being away from home for such a long time, his reaction reminded me of my Papa and how it was when I saw him after he had become extremely ill. Rini's fear and his struggling to come to terms with reality were deeply relatable to me.

I would say not just his story was emotionally moving, but the backstory of Lord Cronus was exactly what I needed to finally like his character! I felt Colette and Kotsume's tears because I wasn't prepared for him to share THAT reason of why he wants and likes flower crowns. Talk about moving!

The romance was swoony as ever, and I would even say a touch of spice this time around!

Lastly, I LOVED how the arc wrapped up with the mirror! Very, very good!

Overall, I'm continuing to love this series so much and am eager for volume nine!

I liked volume 15 more than 16. Lord Cornus is soooo adorable. I like when Colette and Hades interact and go through adventures together. we finish up last volumes story with the chaos that is in the underworld. The story lags for me when Colette is exploring human feelings with other Gods/Lords. I like the art it has a very cutesy style to it. If anything, we didn't get enough skeletons in this volume.

This continues to be a very enjoyable series, though I think that things degrade a bit when the focus moves away from Colette for too long. The romance with Hades is all very well and good, but it takes a backseat to the side stories here and they mostly involved characters that we probably won’t encounter again, at least not regularly.

Cronos is cute, but at this point he’s kind of feeling like the guest that overstays his welcome. Same goes for some of the other characters. I’d like to see a tighter focus on Colette, Hades, and the core underworld crew in the next volume.
Here’s hoping!

I love how much The Underworld family has grown! Hades is following Colette's lead by sharing his role of Underworld judge with Minos, Aeacus, and Rhada. I really loved getting to see them celebrate with Hades, Colette, Kotsume, and the The Skeletons. These sweet moments are what make this manga my favorite Shojo!
Colette's date with Aphrodite was so fun ^_^
Colette's surface story about Rini and his mother was heartbreaking and moving. I definitely cried.

Another great addition to this series! I laughed, I cried, and I kicked my feet giggling! I love the cute characters, beautiful illustrations, sweet & growing romance, and the gentle & uplifting handling of emotionally heavy topics. A volume of Colette Decides to Die has never failed to bring a smile to my face!

I love that we're always either meetn' new people (god or otherwise) or deepening our knowledge of folks we've already met. And the art style is sooooo pretty (and sometimes funny)
