Ai Yazawa (Japanese: 矢沢あい, Yazawa Ai) is a Japanese manga author and illustrator. Her pen name comes from singer Eikichi Yazawa, of whom she is a fan.
Yazawa started her comics career in 1985. She specialises in shojo manga (girls' comics). Most of her works have been serialised in the magazines 'Ribon', 'Cookie' and 'Zipper'.
Yazawa's stories focus on young, often rebellious women and their relationships. The characters are always very stylish, and Yazawa herself is known for her sense of fashion. (She even attended a fashion school for some time after high school.)
Among her most famous manga are Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai (I'm No Angel, 1992–1995), Neighborhood Story (1995-1998), Paradise Kiss (1999-2004), and Nana (2000-2009), the latter awarded a Shogakukan Manga Award in 2003. Some of these works have been adapted into anime and live action movies.

Another fabulous installment of Nana.

In this issue Nana debates whether to sign with a small label while Hachi faces a huge life altering decision.

Hachi sees a tremendous amount of character growth in this volume. We also finally get to see more Reira. I enjoyed seeing her write lyrics. The characters are all so different and lovable.

As usual the art is amazing. Not only does Ai Yazawa know how to tell a stoey and move a story but she does it while drawing some of mangas coolest looking characters.

If you liked the other three volumes you are guaranteed to love this one. There's a trope in here i really hated, yet the Manga was so good I was able to overlook it and find myself invested.

Oh no, oh no... Hachi, you were supposed to learn from your mistakes and learn to be more mature over time. You'd better learn quickly...

This manga has touched on serious themes since the start, but things get REALLY real in this volume. I despair of the series getting a happy ending at this point. I can't get my hands on the next one fast enough because I NEED to know what happens next!

IT HURTS NANA AND NOBU IT HURTS.

But now, revisiting why Hachi chose Takumi, I get it. First read I thought she was absolutely delulu. Nobu does really love her.

Takumi is still a rat.
