Sincerely Yours #3

Take Care, Taylor

Rate this book
From the bestselling author of 'Sincerely, Carter' comes a bullies-to-lovers romance...

I’m not “bullying” her.
I’m not being mean.
If only you knew what she did to me …

Audrey Parker has been my number one nemesis since seventh grade, but she’s somehow convinced everyone that I was the bully. (Please don’t believe any of her tears. She literally majored in Drama.)

She got me suspended for placing scorpions into her locker.
I forced her to transfer after she nearly drowned me in the pool.

She swore on her life that she was “done ever talking to me after high school,” but her yellow notes and mean emails still invaded my life like clockwork.

It wasn’t until we graduated college that we saw each other again, when a mixup forced us to share the same suite for a fall program.

Until one filthy night in the library changed everything.

Well, it should’ve.

I’m not “bullying” her.
I’m not being mean.
Now I’m starting to question what she means to me...

There was no relationship....enemies or not. It was also too much like Forget You, Ethan. I would recommend a reread of "Forget You, Ethan" before I would recommend a first read on this one.

I love how this author takes a familiar setup and turns it into something that hits me right in the chest. Taylor and Audrey’s story had all the tension, history, and unspoken emotion between them that I crave. What started as enemies (or at least everyone thought they were) slowly unraveled into something so much deeper, and I couldn’t get enough of watching them let their guards down.

The writing was sharp, the banter made me grin, and the emotional moments genuinely got to me. I loved how Whitney G balanced the angst with heart. There were scenes that made me ache and others that melted me completely. It’s the kind of story that reminds me why I love her books as it’s filled with all the chemistry, the growth, and the perfect mix of heat and heart.

the writing was actually the best part of this book surprisingly but narratively speaking it was all over the place, their relationship felt extremely shallow despite spanning several years. There was little to no proper characterization and the author just kept throwing problems in for drama’s sake, problems that weren’t properly fleshed nor properly addressed.

"We were enemies to the death -and I refused to let him kill me first..."

I love reading Whitney G.'s stories!!!
They are quick-paced, easygoing, and delicious!!!
This was a bully story, but who was bullying whom after all???
The scales were changing from time to time....
The only sure thing is that Audrey and Taylor were always on each other's throat for various reasons... They were so used to that, that in their important milestones they were searching for each other...
So what they were feeling was really hatred??? Or something else???

"I promise I'll hate you forever."
"I'll hold you to that..."

I've read this story in one sitting...
It was funny, light, some times emotional, and very delicious!!!
Yep, the time was jumping from chapter to chapter, but that didn't really bothered me!!!
I liked seeing them before and after... I liked the progress of their relationship!!!
I am just having some minor issues cause I am feeling that some things never got explained, but I won't tell them to you cause I don't want to make spoilers...
The bottom line is that I enjoyed this quicked paced story very much and Audrey with Taylor kept me a wonderful company!!!

"I'm not 'bullying' her.
I'm not being mean.
If only you knew what she did to me..."

I may have said this before, but Whitney G is one of the few authors who can make me laugh, cry, and keep me on the edge of my seat through the different books she writes. Take Care, Taylor did all that and more.

The back and forth between Audrey and Taylor, from the time they were teens, that Whitney G. established their disdain for each other, was so well-written. It had me laughing, but at the same time, it also had me questioning things. Through Audrey and Taylor’s time jumps, as conveyed via text messages and letter writing, readers will witness the progression of their relationship. What happened and what potentially went wrong.

Some authors struggle with shifts in a story, making it feel abrupt or choppy. Whitney G doesn’t do this. The shift is done quite well, and the next thing you know, you’re not laughing anymore. You’re tearful and at times quite gutted by the findings.

Thank you to Author Whitney G for the gifted e-copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I'm so sad! I don't understand what happened. This book is extremely raw material. Has any editing been done?
The story has great potential. But the narrative was fast-changed, and sometimes I didn't understand when someone was saying what. It's a complete mess.

If you’ve been with this series since the beginning, then it should be no surprise to you the pattern in which the story unfolds. I cannot tell you how happy I am that Whitney stuck to the pattern of ten years ago and didn’t try to modernize it in any way. #winning It was exactly what I expected, and it made my heart very happy!

I’m not going to lie and say that this was a perfectly executed story, because there were moments in the story that could have used some fleshing out, especially for those readers whose first time reading this author was with this book. It’s lacking depth in a lot of different places, and you do have to “suppose that answers that” without really being told “that answers that”. Feel me? As a new to this series reader, you might also think that their “leveling up” to a sexual level and also “finally getting together” was abrupt and out of left field. And you’d be 100% correct. So again, could this story use a lot more detail and depth, absolutely, but I didn’t need it. I understood the assignment ;) as they say! But I am sorry for all of you and really for Whitney herself because the overall rating of this story in the end is probably not going to add up very high. Maybe I’ll be wrong *shrug* but I doubt it.

Now, for those of you that have been with this series since the beginning, all I can say is that Whitney has done you proud. Or again, maybe just me. LOL I loved every moment of Taylor & Aubrey, even the parts where I wanted so much more! LOL

Audrey Parker & Taylor Wolff we’re enemies ever since they were young. He did some mean things to her, maybe because he could….or maybe out of jealousy. Now in pro football he still wants to get his education. Football was a family legacy but not his true dream. Well imagine his surprise when he see who his new dorm roomie is! This goes back and forth from present to younger ages showing all that they did to each other. More of a YA/NA college bully to enemies to lovers romance feel this wasn’t really for me but if you like a younger vibe and theme definitely check this one out. Told in first person and dual POV.

A bully romance steeped in love for words and emotional drama. In this author's true spirit, it's got sarcastic wit and fast dialogues.

I got to laugh some, but the plot involves mainly turmoil and rivalry and toxic attraction. Audrey and Taylor have a twisted relationship where they connect on many levels but seem to communicate only in pranks and revenge. I'm not sure if even half of what happened in their teen years was their fault, because it seems as if an outer force was at play but it was never explained. The story is not that clear. I wished it were.

However, I enjoyed their back and forth between past and present, and especially the fact that they are both enamoured of words and writing, breathing both and excelling at them despite the tumbles in life.

Passion finally explodes between them, I liked that, though it doesn't last long before a final blow hits their doomed affair. That part is hard as it mixes with family drama. Still, there's comedy interspersed with the pain that sports the author's mad seal.

It's a very entertaining story though the ending was a bit swift to feel thorough. Did they really solve their issues or a bully romance has to keep the edge?

Take Care, Taylor

Bullies are a real thing, sadly there is no rules, rhyme or reasoning to why anyone does this. This story follows kids doing this back and forth between each other. The hurts and dealing with heartbreak is so sad through the years. Takes forever to get them to where their lives are finding themselves in a better place.

Take Care, Taylor by Whitney G was exactly what I needed to snap me out of my reading slump! Taylor and Audrey completely stole my heart, their chemistry, their banter, the flirty back-and-forth, I was grinning like an idiot the whole time. Whitney G’s signature mix of wit and steam? Absolutely unmatched.

🩵 Fun, fast, and full of charm, this one reminded me why I love romance so much.

I was hooked but wished it had been more fluid. This story had all the trademark snark and sexiness of this author.

Now that I'm writing this review, I'm not sure I know what caused Taylor and Audrey to be enemies, but I enjoyed their story and their frenemy vibe. As the story unfolds, you gradually come to realise that there's a lot more going on between them and how well they know one another. I enjoyed the biting exchanges and the frisson of attraction between them. It wasn't all humour though as you learn about each of their families. This was an engaging story with a satisfying ending.

I usually love Whitney G, which made this a difficult review to write. This book simply did not work for me. The way the main characters came together felt abrupt and lacked any real build up. Their connection appeared out of nowhere, and the ending followed the same pattern by wrapping up far too quickly.

There were still a few clever touches I appreciated. Taylor signing one of his letters with “Sincerely, Forget you, Take care, Taylor” was a fun nod to earlier books in the series. I also loved the waffle shop specials named after Carter and Ari, and Rachel and Ethan. Those small easter eggs were memorable enough that I settled on a three star rating.
Even though this one missed the mark for me, I remain a big fan of the author and will happily continue reading the rest of her work.

I read this all in one day, I enjoyed it. Definitely laughed a lot. But at the same time it felt very rushed. Like I was being told about how much these characters love/hate each other without really seeing it. The transition from hate to sex is so fast too. On one hand it’s been building over the years but on the other they supposedly hadn’t spoken in years. He apparently was engaged the last time they even saw each other. I feel like we’re missing so many little pieces of their puzzle to be honest. We got tid bits with the reveal about their parents affair but even that was somewhat glossed over. I just would have liked a little more detail and explanation. It doesn’t all come together that well. Over all I liked it but it could have been executed better.

Favorite lines:

“I’m sure you’ll lure some other victim into your web soon, though, so… bye.”

“Because she’ll never let anyone hurt her like that again, and she knows the truth about promises.” I looked over at her, confused. “They’re just words with good intentions,” she said. “They’re still capable of being broken.”

🔥 Years of rivalry. One suite. One night that changes everything.

Read if you like: bullies-to-lovers · academic rivals · decade-long grudges · snarky banter · “I hate you but also your shirt looks good on my floor” energy

📚 Audrey Parker and Taylor have been sworn enemies since grade school—at least that’s the story they both tell. Creepy crawlies in lockers, dramatic accusations (she did major in Drama), and a constant stream of emails and texts… these two never stopped waging war. But when a housing mix-up forces them to share a suite after college, that long-standing grudge starts to feel a lot like something else. One explosive night should’ve changed everything… but for Taylor, it only raises the real question: what does Audrey truly mean to him now?

👨‍👧 Taylor is stubborn, petty in the funniest ways, and absolutely convinced he’s not the villain. Audrey is dramatic, relentless—and absolutely convinced she's not the villain. Their dynamic is messy, addictive, and very them.

💞 The romance hits fast, spicy, and nostalgic—the kind of tension built on years of “I can’t stand you” that turns into “I can’t stay away.” Long-time series readers will recognize the signature Whitney G. pacing: abrupt shifts, heightened emotion, and moments that feel like they’ve been simmering for a decade.

👧 Side characters stay mostly in the background, but they add enough context to highlight just how long (and how intensely) Audrey and Taylor have been tangled together.

✍️ The writing brings that classic early-2010s Whitney G. vibe—quick, addictive, a little chaotic, and unapologetically dramatic. Some moments could’ve used more depth (especially for new readers), and certain transitions feel sudden. But if you’re familiar with this universe, the style is intentional—like slipping back into something you already understand without needing every detail spelled out.

🌟 Take Care, Taylor is fast, fun, nostalgic, and readers who love the series’ original energy will absolutely love this story.

📲 QOTD: Do you love long-term rivals finally admitting they’ve always cared—or do you prefer strangers-to-lovers? What’s the best long-term fictional rivalry you’ve ever read or watched?

To start the series, Sincerely Carter, was such a cute read about best friend to lovers. Forget You Ethan, was enemies to lovers, and now Take Care Taylor, the same, enemies to lovers. Very similar to Ethan’s book. Taylor and Audrey grew up together, for the most part, and have hated each other forever. Starting in middle school, they both tormented each other, always getting into trouble, and always making it known how much they disliked each other. But from the start, this is confusing. Audrey blames Taylor for every bad thing that happens to her, but Taylor denies doing a lot of these things. We never find out, did he or didn’t he really do them? Taylor seemed a lot more inclined to call a truce but Audrey was always the hateful one. She’s quite winey and a lot of emphasis put of those earlier years.

So we move on, the college years. By now, they are somewhat friends until they aren’t. After Audrey comes in contact with Savannah, things tend to go south. But again, this is on Audrey. Taylor has no idea what Audrey endured yet it’s Audrey who pulls away and never tells him why. So much emphasis on what a terrible person Taylor is yet most of the time, it’s Audrey causing the issues. Present day, Taylor is a pro football player but is injured. He takes that time to attend a scholars program he earned in writing. When he arrives at his on campus suite, he sees his roommates name, Audrey Parker. Now at the end, Audrey again has the issue with Taylor. Did he really do anything wrong? Her reaction is blown so out of proportion, to end a relationship and never reconsider? Yikes.

This has so much potential. It’s a cute premise, but there are some issues. The chapters flipping back and forth is a lot! Lookbacks aren’t bad but here, it’s too much. Tell more of the story at one time. Some chapters are only a few sentences and the flow is very choppy. There are quite a few gaps and unanswered questions or open ended situations. The story ends abruptly, nothing about their writing or his football career. Nothing about the future. So much about the past, very little on the present, and nothing on the future.

REVIEW:

This was a pleasant surprise release for me. I didn't think there would be any more after Forget You, Ethan. So yay! It does look like from the author's note that this is the last one, though. Aww, too bad. There were a few side characters in the series I would've loved books for.

Anyways, this one (like the others in this series) has a very formulaic plot, which can be good or bad. But I actually think for this sort of light-hearted type of series, I don't mind it. It's predictable, but in a good way?

I liked Audrey and Taylor and I loved their banter together. I can't say it's my favorite in the series, but I did really like it.

The main issue I have with these books is that once they get together, the banter isn't as fun between them. Like I want them to still have that argumentative banter (to a more playful degree) even after they get together.

The other thing with this one specifically is that I don't feel like it's explained well why they started "bullying" each other. We're told why it escalated in Junior year, but why did it start in the first place?

Overall though, I really liked it. This is a super cute and fun series. If you like argumentative banter in romance (which I do at times), then these are great.

This was another fun, quick read from Whitney G. I've enjoyed all the books in this series and this one had the right amount of steam, angst and banter that this author always delivers. If you haven't read any of the other books in the Sincerely Yours series, you're fine to start here because apart from an Easter Egg or two, they're standalones. Taylor and Audrey's relationship starts at school and is generally acrimonious. They both love to hate on each other and while most of their antics seemed pretty baseless and over the top to me, they were pretty funny. They both have a lot of family stuff going on and amongst the back and forth fighting, it's clear that the one constant factor they have in life is each other.

The book flicks between their high school, college and current time, showing the ups and downs of their relationship and eventual reconnection. Audrey is at a crossroads with her life and Taylor is on the cusp of a million dollar football career. When they are accidentally paired as roommates at a prestigious writing school they've both wanted to top the class at, sparks fly again and they're reminded why they both need each other. I didn't find it a bully romance as such; Taylor was sweet for the most part and it was more that they got off on giving each other a rise with the underpinning reason for the 'bullying' a bit of non-event (to me, at least). Audrey was pretty over the top and lent herself to the dramatic at times (most of this author's FMC do, to be fair). Some of her decisions were a bit immature and she was pretty lucky Taylor stayed hot for her.

It was an entertaining way to lose a couple of hours. The characters were few but solid and I love this author's male leads.

“I promise I’ll hate you forever.”

Oh how I love a good bully story! This was a spicy yet emotional at times enemies to lovers slow burn. I loved every minute of it! Audrey and Taylor have known each other since they were in middle school. Not getting along & bullying one another for years. Now that they’ve both graduated college, a Postscript Scholars program not only has them reuniting but sharing a suite together during the program. Their worst nightmare just came true. How do you co-exist with someone when you hate them?!

This goes back & forth between the past & the present. I really enjoyed the moments where they would be fighting & you could just tell one wanted to give in. Or one would try and be nice & the other wouldn’t buy it or be cautious of it. The trust was definitely questioned between them & there was some animosity yet there was an undeniable connection between the two. Whenever they were together, even though they’d be exchanging sarcastic comments or whatnot, you could tell there were some strong feelings lingering there.

I always enjoy the back and forth banter between characters. I really do enjoy when Whitney can have her characters arguing & then the next minute you can tell things soften up a little bit between them for a second. There was a little sadness to this story as well. There’s so much to the story I feel. Animosity, playfulness and some hurt feelings and secrets.

I also really enjoyed the few mentions of certain things like Elite Airlines & a few names being mentioned from some of Whitney’s previous books! Nice touch. 😉

This was a very addicting and captivating book. I can’t say it enough, if you haven’t read anything by Whitney, just do it. You really can’t go wrong.

Take Care, Taylor is a very enjoyable story. I devoured it. It was so well-written and absolutely wonderful.

Audrey and Taylor become enemies from the beginning. They have a hate relationship and are always doing things to each other. When they reach high school the hate grows even more. Audrey believes that when they graduate high school she will never have to see Taylor again. She applies for a writing program after college. Taylor now plays football but is injured. He decides to apply for a writing program also. Once Taylor gets to the dorm he realizes his new roommate is none other than his nemesis Audrey.

Taylor and Audrey begin spending time together. They eventually discuss why they were so mean to each other for so long. After Audrey's parents passed away Taylor was the one who went to see her and comfort her. Taylor realizes he has always cared for Audrey. When he decides to act on his feelings for her they are so good together. Taylor wants more from her. As secrets begin to come out Audrey has to decide what she wants.

Taylor and Audrey's story was very emotional and heartwarming. It is messy and it is so good. They can't deny their chemistry. Amazing story. Highly recommended.

Thank you to the author for an advanced copy for an honest review.

Bully, Friends, Hate, Civil, years of back and forth

I loved this book!

Audrey Parker has had issues with Taylor Wolff since elementary school! The mean kid that put stuff in her hair, called her ugly, anything you could think of. Taylor was the cool kid with all of the friends!

Audrey’s mom said it best “he is only being mean to you because he likes you”
The hate between Audrey and Taylor continues through high school until college!

Audrey has a love for writing and is accepted into a very prestige scholarship program! Upon arrival she finds her roommate is none other than Taylor! Let the games of hate begin!

As the book moves back and forth between today and the previous years you get a better idea of how their relationship developed!

Neighbors, enemies, truce like friends, hate again! The cycle is constant but there was one year when it was worse than all the others! But why?

Audrey and Taylor agree to a truce while they are competing in this program but can they put their hatred aside and live together peacefully!

The best thing about this book is the reflection of previous letters or notes that they’ve written one another!

Readers will be captivated by this page turning drama!

Take Care, Taylor is a deliciously addictive enemies-to-lovers romance that had me hooked from the very first page. Taylor and Audrey’s dynamic is electric—charged with razor-sharp banter, simmering tension, and the kind of chemistry that makes you grin and grit your teeth at the same time. Their love-hate relationship is a masterclass in emotional whiplash: one moment they’re trading biting remarks, the next they’re teetering on the edge of something undeniably intimate.

When fate throws them into the same prestigious writing program—and even worse, into the same dorm room—their carefully constructed walls begin to crumble. What follows is a slow burn packed with witty dialogue, stolen glances, and the kind of unresolved tension that makes you want to scream at the page. The sparks between them aren’t just flying—they’re practically setting the dorm on fire.

I devoured this book in a single sitting, unable to tear myself away from the chaos and vulnerability that unfolded. If you love stories where enemies become lovers in the most explosive way, Take Care, Taylor is an absolute must-read.

Take Care, Taylor" by Whitney G

Ok I can’t even tell you how excited I was for this book. I absolutely loved the first two books in this series so to know there was another book added to the series I was excited well beyond excited. Sincerely, Carter was actually the book that introduced me to Whitney G and I loved this book so much as well as Forget You, Eathen and the extra one Sincerely, Arizona. I loved them all. So I was eager to read this new addition to the series. Here we get to meet Audrey and Taylor. I must say were they as much my favorite as the previous two books no I must say no they weren’t but still they kept me entertained with their craziness. They are both convinced that they are the victims in their story and that the other is the villain but let’s be honest they are both a little to blame. They are both tit for tat as far as they have known each other. The romance once it hits it is fast and furious. I enjoyed this read like I said not as much as the previous two books but I enjoyed it nonetheless.

I’m disappointed. I liked both the first two books in the Sincerely, Yours series and was excited when I saw that a third had come out. The author writes beautifully, but this was so surface-level. I adore the way the series uses flashbacks as a tool to progress the story, but this story feels too much like Forget You, Ethan. It’s the same thing with different tragedies. Unlike Forget You Ethan, there is way too much left unanswered here. & there’s a lot of drama for drama’s sake. In this book, the bullying wasn’t even explained other than a throwaway line where MMC says that FMC unknowingly ruined his life & that’s why he bullied her. Even with all the flashbacks, this is never explained.

The characters coming together lacked build up. There was no “will they/won’t they”, no fighting their feelings, no explanations, & when they do come together it is quite abrupt & somehow, everything between them does a sudden 180 without ever explaining how they got to this place or how they feel about it. The ending felt the same.
