This book brings us back to Rhetta Cur, the Freelance Investigator, as she's tasked by the count to recover a ring that was stolen ten years ago. I love the frivolity that is included in the story with Hoardrop and Edric. But the humor isn't the only draw to this writing, it also has a nice little mystery (or rather 3 mysteries that are tied together) that we are able to see Rhetta solve using logic, and the fact that everyone underestimates a woman.
This was another fun read. The mysteries are real, but perfectly solvable. Some readers might sleuth out the culprit sooner than I did, but following Rhetta Cur around is so much fun, I'm sure you won't mind. Highly recommended for those who like situational humor with offbeat shenanigans and characters. Mumsies had me in grinning.
