The world’s worst psychiatrist is allowed to foster his hospitalized young patient because he wants to experiment with different treatment modalities which wouldn’t be allowed in the hospital.

If you enjoy reading about Svengalis and cannibalism, MONSTER just might be the book for you.

I guessed the perpetrator in MONSTER in the first chapter and most of the twists and turns as will everyone who’s ever read a thriller.

Monster by S.E. Green — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5

I mean… this book was pretty predictable, not going to lie. 😂 If you’re an avid thriller/mystery reader, by the second—maybe third—chapter, most of the plot will probably have already been revealed to you, as it was for me. 🤷🏾‍♀️

Nonetheless, I still enjoyed the book. I really appreciated Fallon and Caroline’s relationship. I’m always a fan of romance in the midst of chaos, and their dynamic added another layer to the story for me.

Vincent was questionable from the beginning, as I mentioned, and while Caroline was very smart, it took her some time to recognize Vincent’s true motives. But honestly, I think love and admiration for someone can blind anyone, even when the signs are right in front of you.

Bottom line: Would I recommend this book? Yes. It’s a quick read, entertaining, and definitely worth picking up if you enjoy thrillers with dark subject matter.

Heads up: This book contains themes of cannibalism, murder, and trauma.

Oh my God, how did that guy maintain a psychiatrist’s license? Just awful. And cannibalism is just one more nasty curveball in this story. Nope!

My first by this author and I went into it thinking eh, if I don’t like it - I’ll just start a new one. Well, I was super wrong! This was really good, I loved the story line. When you get into it I was think uh, I am not into anything super natural but no this was good! Good characters and really kept the twists and turns.
