I didn't really enjoy this read. It was actually difficult not to DNF it.
The MMC was unhinged, possessive, controlling, and abusive—both physically and verbally. I typically enjoy arranged marriage stories that develop into an enemies-to-lovers romance, but this wasn't that at all.
The side love story didn't feel like love either. It came across more as defiance mixed with escapism than a genuine romantic connection.
I don't see myself continuing the series. I honestly wish the story had been completed in one book because at this point it feels unnecessarily drawn out.
This book should have included trigger warnings, as it touches on several sensitive topics. I can see what the author was trying to accomplish, but for me, the execution completely missed the mark.
For anyone considering reading this book, here are a few triggers so you aren't blindsided:
1. Rape
2. Physical and verbal abuse
3. Violence against pregnant women

Arranged With a Savage By R. Coxron had me going through every emotion. I knew it was going to be dark, but I was not prepared for how toxic and intense Messiah was. Every time I thought he might redeem himself, he did something that had me looking at my Kindle like, “Are you serious right now?” He kept my blood pressure up the entire book.
I felt so bad for Sierra because none of this was her choice. She was forced into this arranged marriage and had to figure out how to survive in a world where everybody wanted power more than peace. What I liked most about her was that she didn’t completely lose herself. She had her moments where she pushed back, and I was rooting for her every single time.
The cartel drama was so good because it wasn’t just about the romance. There were betrayals, family loyalty, secrets, and people switching up when you least expected it. Every time I thought I knew where the story was going, something happened that completely changed everything.
Can we talk about Lyfe for a second? Every time he showed up, I was paying attention. He brought a different vibe to the story, and I kept hoping things would somehow work out differently for Sierra.
And that ending… don’t even get me started. I just sat there staring at my Kindle because there’s no way the author expected us to be okay after ending it like that. Overall, if you like dark cartel romances with crazy twists, nonstop drama, and characters that will have you arguing with the book, I definitely think this one is worth reading.

I normally love an arranged marriage trope, but this one was not your typical “we hated each other then fell in love” setup. Nope. Messiah was brutal, and the way he treated Sierra was hard to read at times. The abuse and obsession went beyond the usual alpha energy and turned downright uncomfortable.
There was also a side love story being built, but I never fully understood why Sierra was risking so much for him. It felt less like love and more like desperation for an escape.
And listen, that to be continued ending took me out 😩 For this level of chaos and trauma, I needed some closure. What more is there to say about this crazy man Messiah and his wild family?
3⭐ because it had potential, but the darkness outweighed the romance for me. Maybe that was the point?

What Power & Respect Will Make You Become!!!!
I have never read anything by this author, but I'm a true fan of their work. I just saw that it was just one book finished when recommended to read. Now, it has my mind to overdrive for how long? I didn't care for Messiah from page one, but as the book went on, my dislike for him grew stronger and stronger. Somebody needs to put a stop ✋️ to him and his self-destruction real quick 💯 Or he's going to mess up everything his family built years before him. I could write more about this book, but I don't like spoilers myself, so I'm just gonna wait on the next book to tell yall how I really feel 🔥🔥🔥 GREAT READ 🔥🔥🔥

I'm Trying Messiah!?
I'm trying to understand why Messiah is so hateful to Sierra. Understand it's an arranged marriage for business purposes but she's innocent in this just as he is. I didn't know Cedric was so established. The way he let Messiah handle him, I thought he was weak. He's not real smart but he had more heart than I thought. This is a whole mess now after Sierra's "death", Messiah convinced Thomasina's baby is his and the families truce void. Diving right into book two cause wow! So much left to see. Messiah didn't help me like my MMC in this instance. Up for debate until book two.

Dangerous Bond
Messiah is the epitome asshole. Woman beater, manipulative savage, and probably on Jeffrey Epstein's list. Sierra and Lyfe have an intriguing relationship that they've yet to name nonetheless it can get them both killed. I think my favorite is Malcolm old ass since he was handling Jeffrey and Messiah at the fake funeral 😂. Great job author for keeping the storyline moving with excitement, drama, and danger.

Whew…what a roller coaster!
This is my first read by this author and I was not disappointed! The writing is quite descriptive which put you in the scene.
Messiah, the MMC, is unhinged, brutal, emotionless. What happened to him in his childhood?? The plot is plotting and I’m excited for part 2.

6 /5 ⭐️ EASY‼️
This man was a whole piece of WORK !!
Not the normal "Arranged Marriage" story. Im use to the Fairytales.. and this was NOT it! In fact the complete opposite. If you have triggers, consider yourself warned. luckily, I do not! But I need a part 2 ASAP!... because WHAT!!!😲

Messiah was mean for no reason
This was a great read. I’m glad the FMC got away. She didn’t deserve what her parents and husband put her through.

Whewww I wish I could give this book more than five starssss! It as sooo good. Messiah’s character was so strategically developed that I hate him. It’s like no one is innocent. But Tywan is my quiet favorite. It’s so action packed and detailed down to the scents of the MMCs. I love a character that I can “smell.” It was so much gun play, power play, and psychological warfare going on, but every dog has their day.
