I normally love an arranged marriage trope, but this one was not your typical “we hated each other then fell in love” setup. Nope. Messiah was brutal, and the way he treated Sierra was hard to read at times. The abuse and obsession went beyond the usual alpha energy and turned downright uncomfortable.
There was also a side love story being built, but I never fully understood why Sierra was risking so much for him. It felt less like love and more like desperation for an escape.
And listen, that to be continued ending took me out 😩 For this level of chaos and trauma, I needed some closure. What more is there to say about this crazy man Messiah and his wild family?
3⭐ because it had potential, but the darkness outweighed the romance for me. Maybe that was the point?
I have never read anything by this author, but I'm a true fan of their work. I just saw that it was just one book finished when recommended to read. Now, it has my mind to overdrive for how long? I didn't care for Messiah from page one, but as the book went on, my dislike for him grew stronger and stronger. Somebody needs to put a stop ✋️ to him and his self-destruction real quick 💯 Or he's going to mess up everything his family built years before him. I could write more about this book, but I don't like spoilers myself, so I'm just gonna wait on the next book to tell yall how I really feel 🔥🔥🔥 GREAT READ 🔥🔥🔥
Messiah is the epitome asshole. Woman beater, manipulative savage, and probably on Jeffrey Epstein's list. Sierra and Lyfe have an intriguing relationship that they've yet to name nonetheless it can get them both killed. I think my favorite is Malcolm old ass since he was handling Jeffrey and Messiah at the fake funeral 😂. Great job author for keeping the storyline moving with excitement, drama, and danger.
I usually love me a good arranged marriage but this one was a little bit all over the place for me .. like idk how to explain it. I needed more from the characters . Messiah was a walking devil !!!! But I all in all I just needed more .
This man was a whole piece of WORK !! Not the normal "Arranged Marriage" story. Im use to the Fairytales.. and this was NOT it! In fact the complete opposite. If you have triggers, consider yourself warned. luckily, I do not! But I need a part 2 ASAP!... because WHAT!!!😲
Messiah was the top level of crazy. Keisha was blindsided by the marriage & the immediate pressure Messiah applied. Can't wait to see what happens next.
When I tell you this book had me on edge!!! I have never hated someone as much as I hate Messiah 🤬 If I could have gotten my hands on him . He was a true villain from day 1
