I loved this book but at the same time it made me wanna cry it was a very sad book
i felt very bad for Priya because she came from India to chicago she had to come to chicago because
her parents had really good gobs they worked as docters. One day that Priyas parents talk to her
they told her that she had to go to school but Priya didn't wont to because she wasn't going
to know anybody. ),: and she dressed up way different then the people in chicago in India they wear
dresses clothes that is long!! When they went shopping Priya's mom had to buy pants and shrits but
priya didn't want to wear them..On her first day of school eveything went wrong because she went to a school wear its like a middle school she had to be in a school like high school..so the lady in the office told her parents were to go..Priya got to school everyone were in class and she was the only one
in the hallway..she was very scared..When she go into class the teacher told her to sit down..that same
day Priya found a friend named Kalia and her become friends but want happend one day Kalia didn't talk
to Priya anymore because she didn't want to leave her friends just for her),: but priya thought it was ok she didn't care..it was hard for her in school because she didn't understand engish that much she couldn't speak it that much..her English teacher was very mean she wanted everyone to speak english if you didn't speak it she will kick you out of class..At the end Priya had to do a project and she did a project about her culture and his teacher was veryyyy happpyyyy she did a great gobbbbb... :)
And Kalia said sorryy to her because to was scared to loose her friends just for her..they became friends:) good ened with a great project it took her a while but she made it..
I think this book was great and anyone can read it... :) :)
