Vesper is an assassin with impressive control over her Energy magic, a penchant for whores, and a jealous ex that she just can’t seem to get rid of. Although, being trapped in a work contract with said ex isn’t always the worst, that doesn’t stop her from trying to find a way out.
Bellamy has a gambling problem that has landed her in more trouble than she can handle, but she is confident that she can fix her mistakes and get her ex back. As long as no one can take Vesper away from her, and a certain red-head keeps her hands to herself, everything will be just fine.
Until one of their assignments goes horribly wrong.
Now, they find themselves on the run, having to face their demons as dangerous secrets come to light. Marked for death by their employer, hidden away and trying to unravel the disaster that their life has become, will they be able to put the past behind them, or will their infighting lead to their demise?
This book was AMAZING! It’s the first book I’ve read from this author, the synopsis had me intrigued and I was not disappointed.
I’m not the biggest fantasy fan but this book just had the right amount of magic. My first thought about Vesper’s and Bel’s relationship was toxic. But there was also this immediate sense that these characters had a lot of history. And I loved being able to read about that in Bel’s pov. Which was needed for me to like her.
The spice was definitely there! And I wouldn’t mind this book turning into a series (hint hint)
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC and am leaving a honest and voluntary review
Duel 3rd Person POV. 437 pages Who doesn’t love some toxic lesbians. In the beginning the relationship between Vesper and Bellamy is so toxic it’s hard to believe anything between them could ever work, however, the chemistry and tension between the two is so palpable that it jumps off the page and becomes almost corporeal enough to slap you in the face.
For most of the book Vesper comes across as a cold hearted asshole, but you’ll still become obsessed with her toxicity. While Bellamy will make you want to both punch her in the face and wrap her in bubble wrap to protect her.
The entire narrative is beyond captivating and will draw you in from the very first line. Martin does a phenomenal job of building a world that not only holds intrigue but will have you wanting more when it’s over. I loved every second of it!
The Cost of Vices will be released February 4th 2026 and I would advise everyone to do themselves a favour and read this damn book!

Not going to lie, I saw magic & assassins, with enemies to lovers, BDSM, forced proximity, and toxic sapphic vibes and I was like sign me up. I'm always looking for interesting stories and viewpoints, and this one fits the bill.
This isn't a romantasy, it's more of a dystopian setting with magic as opposed to the other book from this author which is more fantasy/retelling. This dark and gritty realm draws you in silently like a riptide, your best bet is so stay calm and ride it out.
Bellamy and Vesper, are an unlikely toxic pairing. Their job ties them together, if one fails then both could die. The world is easy to slip into, my one wish would have been more background on the magic elements. The side cast of characters helps to bring the world to life. The push and pull dance between the FMCs will have you in a chokehold. I would like to see a sequel or offshoot with Cedar, Mazz, or Cypress.
There are trigger warnings for a reason, so be mindful of you are a sensitive reader.
I received and advanced copy for an honest review.

What's more dangerous, messy exes, or messy exes who are also assassins?
First things first, this book is spicy. Vesper and Bellamy's domme/brat relationship is a constant tension that frequently spills over into scenes between the two of them or between Vesper and others. If you're not into that, this book is not for you.
Martin has a gift for pacing. The speed is relentless; action scenes followed by dialogue that is just as charged up. While this is great throughout the first 80%, as we get to the very end things start to go a bit too fast, with a lot of setting information dropped at once. Regardless, the fast pace she sets at the beginning works well for the frequent plot twists, all of which feel deserved rather than "gotcha" moments, in part because of her use of flashbacks to contextualize a twist right after it has been dropped. The only place this stumbles is right towards the end when there was too much new information being added to allow for a flashback and instead relied on post-action exposition. If this were setting up a world for future books (whether sequels or interconnected stories) it wouldn't be as much of an issue, but without that it seems like there is more added than necessary to bring the story to a satisfying close. The setting is invigorating, with the same vibe as Equilibrium mixed with John Wick with a side of A Memory Called Empire, where the only authority we encounter through most of the book is the assassin company they work for.
"Just like the cards had become Bellamy’s vice, the whores had become Vesper’s. At least they kept her from drinking."
Vesper and Bellamy were both excellent characters. I loved Martin's choice to make it clear that, while both would be PoV characters, Bellamy's PoV isn't introduced until about 20-30% of the way into the book. It works so well to bring about the first plot twist and amps up the story. I love them but in no way, shape, or form would I want to be friends with either of these women - and that speaks to Martin's ability to craft compelling characters who are so deeply flawed that we can empathize with them while also going "eeeee 😬". Some of the side characters I was less enthusiastic about, but they only made me like Bellamy more (girl you are nuts but you're right, some of Vesper's other friends are wild af).
Overall this was an exciting read that dealt with trauma, addiction, guilt, jealousy in ways that - while still a sexy-cool-assassin novel - didn't treat them as cheap throwaways but rather integral to who the characters are. Their issues don't get solved, but that isn't the point. Healing can come after you survive being hunted. If you're the kind of person who likes assassin novels/movies, gritty not-quite-grimdark settings, and a lot of wlw spice, you would probably love this book!
Thanks to the author for providing me with an ARC! I am leaving this review by my own choice.
This an angsty fantasy romance following Vesper, a hot-tempered assassin who never stays tied to one woman for long, and Bellamy, a sharp-tongued assassin with a habit of gambling more than she should. Once lovers, now bitter exes, they’re forced into a work contract that turns them into reluctant partners. When an assignment goes sideways, they’re left facing a choice: let old wounds rule them forever, or risk opening their hearts again.
I picked this up after seeing so many friends rave about it, and while I was excited, I was also cautious. Toxic relationships aren’t usually my thing, and this book leans heavily into that, but I wanted to go in with an open mind and see what all the hype was about.
At first, I worried their dynamic would stay stuck in the same cycle of tension and resentment. I love enemies-to-lovers, but the constant push and pull here felt intense, and I found myself eager for some emotional progress. Thankfully, the story didn’t stay there forever, though when things finally shifted, it wasn’t quite in the direction I expected... and not entirely in a way that worked for me.
One aspect I really appreciated was the use of flashbacks. Seeing the moments where everything fell apart added emotional depth and helped their hatred make sense. I also became far more invested once Bellamy’s POV was introduced. Seeing the story through her eyes completely changed my perception of her, and she quickly became my favorite character. I liked Vesper too, but for some reason, Bellamy was the one I connected with most.
The first half of the book held my attention, but once the plot expanded and characters like Cedar, Cypress, Mazz, and Wisp took on a larger role, the focus began to drift. It felt like the FMCs were pushed slightly into the background, and since I wasn’t as attached to the side characters, the story started to lose momentum for me.
I was also really looking forward to the fantasy elements and world-building, but as the story progressed, they didn’t feel as developed as I had hoped. At times, I genuinely forgot I was reading a fantasy novel. I would’ve loved more depth and clarity around the magic system, as it was difficult for me to fully visualize how it worked.
While this book ultimately wasn’t a personal favorite, I can still see why it works for so many readers. If you love high-tension romance, morally gray assassins, and fast-paced stories full of action and angst—especially if you enjoyed Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil—this might be right up your alley.

Gotta love messy lesbians, especially when magic is involved AND they’re assassins..! So many amazing moments in this. Straight away you can feel the hate radiate between the main characters, but it’s also evident that their history runs deep and it’s not quite so simple. Also, points for the most times I’ve read the work ‘fucking’ in one book, by chapter 5! Quite fast paced, nice’n’spicy, and very self-destructive. There’s definitely a few surprises in there and I enjoyed so many elements, especially the dynamic between Vesper and Bellamy! To be fair, the dynamic between each of these two and EVERY other character is dynamite as well. I did want to see more about the magic and different specialisms though. The focus in most of the scenes felt like it was on the dynamic between the characters and inner thoughts rather than the wider world and what’s happening. The action is still there though and there are some really tense moments, just for my personal tastes I wanted to be a bit more immersed in the world, environment and magic. Saying that, I was so emotionally invested in the characters and absolutely obsessed with every interaction!
Plot Summary Vesper is an energy magic wielding assassin, who spends her time and money in a certain.. adult activity.. establishment. Bellamy is her bratty, jealous ex who also happens to be a magic assassin with a gambling problem. Unfortunately for them, they are locked in their contracts as partners so can’t get rid of each other. Someone is messing with them and causes an assignment to go very, very wrong, with a guaranteed death sentence from their unforgiving employers. They now need to work together to get to the bottom of what’s happening, save themselves, and a couple of others along the way.
Things I loved: - Most times I’ve ever read the word ‘fucking’ in one book. By Chapter 5. - Vesper!! The attitude. The inner battle. - Bellamy! The Brattiness, jealousy and possessiveness is on point. - Love wrapped in a toxic, messy coat. - Morally grey. - The first chapter from Bellamy’s POV hit me hard. - Vesper’s care for Cypress. - Blackmail and betrayal. - Magic wielding assassins!
Overall, gotta love toxic, messy, magic wielding, lesbian assassins! Especially with dom and brat dynamics, blackmail and betrayal, secrets and vengeance, and a handful of vibrant, also messy, side characters. Do Vesper and Bellamy love to hate each other? Or hate to love each other? You shall find out…
[minor spoilers] This was an insane book, 100%. No doubt about it. Crazy from start to finish in a fun way.
These two lesbians are so messyyyyy. Bellamy is toxically jealous, but to an extent that feels comedic. To the point where it was almost ridiculous, and I didn’t take it too seriously because at every available opportunity, she was jealous. If this were a contemporary romance, I would have huge issues with the level of jealousy, but because this is fantasy, I didn’t have any issues with it. I think that because of the dark romance, specifically in a fantasy setting, it was a lot more enjoyable for me.
I love the world that the author created. I wish we had gotten more details about the rules, but I never felt like I didn’t understand the world. I just wish I knew more about how the magic worked and what role it played in this world. Also, this is on a different planet, and they briefly discuss interplanetary travel. I want to know more about fantasy space!
I really liked Cedar’s character arc. Initially, I didn’t like Cedar, and I felt bad for her because Vesper treated her poorly. But I liked the direction the author took this character, and I found it really interesting. I never knew where she was going to go next.
The timing of the POV changes was *chef’s kiss*. Sometimes I would get frustrated with staying in someone’s POV for too long, and then it would switch at the perfect time, and I would be like, “Never mind, I’m not mad.” It would made sense pretty quickly why the switch was saved for that moment.
[minor spoiler] One thing that made me uneasy was Bellamy kissing Vesper at the beginning, which broke a boundary they had established after their breakup, even as they continued sleeping together. Vesper doesn’t seem too upset about it; she’s more concerned about what changed about Bellamy than being concerned that a boundary of hers was crossed. We later learned from Bellamy’s POV why she did that, but she still broke that explicit boundary. I’m not too worried about it because, as I said, Vesper, the person whose boundary was crossed, didn’t seem too upset about it, and their dymanic is complicated. But it did make me feel uneasy.
This book was insane in a fun way. These two are made for each other in a way that’s a danger to everyone else. This was the toxic fantasy lesbians were expecting from Bury Our Bones In the Midnight Soil.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️(4 stars) 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️(dances on the erotica line)
This was one of those reads where you tell yourself “just one more chapter” and mean it — and before you realise it, you’re already too deep to stop. Every time these two shared the page, the chemistry was unmistakable, simmering quietly beneath the surface until it became impossible to ignore.
What really worked for me was their dynamic. The contrast between a bratty femme sub and a strong, controlled dom felt intentional and charged, rooted in consent and trust rather than spectacle. Their connection carries that familiar gravitational pull you see in fated-mates stories — as if staying apart is never truly an option. Each moment they move closer feels inevitable, heavy with anticipation.
The worldbuilding supports this beautifully. The magical realm is sketched with just enough atmosphere to anchor you without ever overwhelming the story. The scenery enhances the tension rather than distracting from it, allowing the characters and their relationship to remain the emotional core. The pacing stays tight, and I never felt myself drifting away from the narrative.
Emotionally, the story caught me off guard in the best way. There were moments that hit far harder than expected — especially a quiet, vulnerable “Don’t hate me” that stayed with me long after I’d read it. Those small, exposed moments of honesty linger, and they’re what elevate the story beyond heat alone.
And yes — the spice is unapologetically high. Open-door scenes, varied encounters, and intensity that feels purposeful rather than excessive. The intimacy always serves the emotional bond and the story itself, never feeling inserted for shock value. Combined with a plot that offers unexpected turns, it kept me fully invested right through to the end.
There is one small area where I wished for more care: the language used to describe dark skin tones felt somewhat limited. I wanted more richness and nuance there, and it stood out only because the rest of the writing is so strong.
By the time I reached the final page, I knew this was something special. Addictive, emotionally charged, and deeply engaging — easily one of my favourite reads so far.
Huge congratulations to Kerstel for a powerful, captivating story that stayed with me long after I closed the book
Note: I received an ARC of this book and chose to submit this review voluntarily.

I absolutely LOVE this book. I’m not a big fan of fantasy books in general, but this one immediately went to my favourites. I wasn’t even trying to fool myself by saying “just one more chapter”. I was so hooked I knew I will read the night away and wouldn’t stop until was finished.
Vesper is a skilled assassin who’s trapped in a work contract with her jealous ex, Bellamy, who she just can’t get rid of. To many, she may come across as cold, but the longer you see her perspective, the more you start to like her.
Bellamy is a gambling addict who is in some real troubles. She’s a bit over her head, and for most of the time you want to punch her for her decisions, but in a loving way. She’s… particular. Positively. Even when she’s annoying, it’s impossible to dislike her, especially after learning about her side of things.
They’re absolutely toxic together, but the tension and chemistry are sparkling between them from the very beginning. It’s obvious early on that they have history together that plays a big part in their current dynamic. Despite the hate and previous betrayals, the base of their dynamic is still trust and consent, which is a great contrast to their day-to-day lives and lets us get even closer to them emotionally.
The writing is beautiful, engaging, and easy to read. I never felt the need to skim. The plot is captivating, and the world-building is done magnificently. Everything together made it possible for me to really see everything, and not only words on pages. I felt like I was there with them.
The whole book is a straight-up masterpiece. I was, and for the most part still am, at a loss for words. It’s a MUST-HAVE read. Do yourself a favor and give it a chance. You will not regret it.
A big thank you to the author, Kestrel Martin, for giving me the opportunity to read “The Cost of Vices”. You did such an amazing job! I have a feeling it’s going to be my comfort book and will be reread quite a lot.
I received an ARC, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
STARS 5-6 stars - THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING! SPICE HOT - lots of spice CHEMISTRY EXCELLENT (smoldering) ANGST HIGH SLOW BURN No CLIFFHANGER No CHARACTERS Bellamy and Vesper
FAVORITE QUOTE/QUOTES "Told myself you were lost to me, you’d end up ruining us more. But there is no me without you. There’s no world in which I would survive without you. And I fucking hated you for that. It’s always been you, Bel, it always will be. I couldn’t leave you—I can’t leave you. I’d let you ruin me a thousand times over if it meant you stayed in my life.” - Vesper
MY THOUGHTS This was my first read of 2026, and the bar has officially been set ridiculously high. I don’t know how anything else is supposed to compete. It was angsty, high-stakes, and had me on edge the entire time. The writing is stunning; fantasy can sometimes be hard for me to follow, but this was written so beautifully that I could see everything unfolding. I kept thinking how easily this could be a blockbuster movie or TV series. I was completely enthralled from start to finish.
WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THE CHARACTERS I loved their brokenness. I loved that the author leaned fully into the jealousy and “other woman” tension...one of my favorite dynamics to read, yet something I rarely see done all the way. There’s no infidelity here; it’s two exes, and one having to watch the other move on. That alone made the story addictive, and somehow that’s not even the main plot. There was so much happening, and every bit of it worked.
WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THE BOOK The depth. You never quite knew what was coming next, and the entire time I was rooting for these two to figure it out and stay safe while doing so. The storyline was gripping, the world-building was immersive, and the spice? Absolute perfection.
WHAT I WOULD CHANGE Nothing. Not a single thing. I immediately want to read everything this author has written. I can’t believe she’s been off my radar until now.
TROPES Sapphic, Fantasy/Sci-fi, angsty, second chance, touch her and die, assassins
The dedication that the author wrote for this book beautifully sums it up: "For all the chaotic sapphics out there who love reading about unhinged, morally grey lesbians." With that sentence, you get the target audience and what it's about. And it's one of the cleverest dedications I've seen.
Dark romantasy is not my typical genre, but I enjoyed this book quite a bit. I struggled with the first 25% because the author referenced a history between the two characters and would not fill in those gaps. If you're frustrated in the first quarter of the book, just keep reading... because those gaps fill in when the 2nd character's POV is revealed. The story redeemed itself from the slow, frustrating start, and I couldn't put the book down after I got through the first quarter. You'll like this book if you like twists and turns, bada$$ women doing tough jobs, and lots of spice.
[Slight spoilers ahead] Spice is off the charts (10/10), with BDSM elements and a surprise threesome at the end. Very explicit language with the f- word often appearing multiple times in a paragraph. Anger, violence, death. It is a book about assassins after all - those morally grey characters.
I wouldn't call it a true romance, but it is a story of a couple coming back together and realizing someone who takes your heart once will always retain a piece of it.
Thanks to the author for an advance reader copy!

This book was a tornado in the best way. From the first page you hit the ground running and never stop. Reading it reminded me of watching Kill Bill, there is always something new happening, a new enemy or twist.
The book takes place on an unnamed planet that consists of different types of magic wielders, herbalists and who knows what else. There wasn't a ton of world building but it felt intentional, the ambiguity added to the suspense and I loved it. I visualized a futuristic dystopia that was a mix between borderlands and cyberpunk. The two main MCs are assassins with a contractual obligation to work together. They're exes and f*** do they hate eachother.
It's primarily third person, dual POV. So far, I think this is the angriest dark romance I've read but the author has a great way of making the anger a humourous and almost endearing but keep in mind Bellamy can do no wrong in my eyes. I never got sick of the angsty interactions. The chemistry between the two is great and the side characters are perfect compliments to the MCs. I had a blast reading it and couldn't put it down. if you're looking for a fast paced, dark fantasy romance with oodles of spice you've come to the right place. I look forward to reading any additions to this universe that the author graces us with!
Thanks to the author for giving me an ARC in exchange for my honest review!
Pros: The book is paced decently despite being on the longer side; the plot moves along well and made sense (this isn’t always the case). I thought the dual POV and flashbacks were also done well. Both POVs brought important perspective and character development that felt organic and meaningful. Additionally, i thought the spice was done pretty well and Vesper/Bellamy’s dynamic was interesting and fun. Although quite prevalent it still felt fresh and exciting mostly throughout.
Cons: I thought the dialogue at times especially Vesper’s was pretty cringey. I’m pretty sure she said fuck or fucking every two sentences. I also felt that the magic/fantasy aspect of the book felt a bit rushed/shoehorned in. This could’ve been a book about two regular assassins easily. I felt that a lot of the “messiness” of the relationship was also a little lackluster and unearned.
Overall though fun read, i would happily read anything next by the author.
Closer to a 3.5 than a 4.
Thank you to the author/bookfunnel for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
WHAT A RIDE! I devoured this book and normally third person isn’t my cup of tea, but Kestrel captivated me. I loved the idea and the plot and who doesn’t love toxic lesbian exes who really fucking hate each other? YES PLEASE! We jumped right into the tension and the hate between Vesper and Bellamy. Literally knife to the throat vibes, but the chemistry and tension? holy hell. Vesper came off as a bitch, but I loved her. Bellamy was a brat and at times made me want to strangle her because wtf?! And the spice ??? Is it hot in here? Yes because yes. Just trust and believe . The side characters? Some of them you love and others...let’s just say I had a certain one I detested majority of the book until the end, but she’s not redeemed. Read and you’ll understand. If you like magic, a fantastic world, a captivating story AND TOXIC LESBIANS, read this book. You won’t regret it! It was a fam rollercoaster in the best way possible.

A fast, chaotic fantasy ride with two exes who really shouldn’t be working together, but absolutely have to.
Vesper is a magic‑wielding assassin just trying to survive, and Bellamy is the jealous disaster of an ex who can’t let go. When a job goes sideways, they end up on the run, forced to face their mess, their past, and each other.
It’s messy, queer, dramatic, and full of tension — basically everything I want in a character‑driven fantasy.
What worked best for me in this book was the MFCs, for sure. I rarely read a book where I genuinely relate to and root for both leads, but this was one of them.
It did get a tiny bit wordy in the middle for my personal preference, but in the long run it balanced out the spice and heat, and all of it was needed for the worldbuilding. So if you find yourself feeling the same way: JUST KEEP READING. TRUST ME.
If you love spicy fantasy romance with two very gay, very chaotic, magic-laced lesbians who, honestly, probably shouldn’t be together but absolutely are, this is for you. These two make most morally grey FMCs seem vanilla, in the best way possible. Oh the SPICE...
I really, really enjoyed this one. I’d strongly recommend checking the content warnings before diving in. The worldbuilding is beautiful, the characters are engaging, and both the main and side characters stay with you long after you finish reading.
The Cost of Vices is a fast-paced fantasy that doesn’t rely on heavy world building, instead pulling you quickly into the story and its action. The pacing felt well balanced, with plenty happening without being overwhelming.
The main characters are an assassin duo who also happen to be exes, which makes their dynamic explosive. Add in a domme/brat relationship and the chemistry and tension are off the charts - messy, angry, and addictive.
The story is told in third-person, dual POV. I didn’t like Bellamy much at first, but getting her POV added much-needed depth and completely changed how I felt about her.
If you enjoy dark fantasy romance with strong character dynamics and spice, this one is definitely worth a read.
Thank you to the author for providing an ARC. This is an honest and voluntary review.
This book was a rollercoaster to say the least. I flip flopped multiple times between loving and hating all of the character. Both Vesper and Bellamy had me rolling my eyes and begging them to just talk to each other! But at the same time you know I love a toxic romance trope!
This book had me hooked and hanging on through every lie, miscommunication and betrayal. I couldn’t get enough! The world building was top notch, the character development was strong (not always positive, but in the best way), and the storyline kept you guessing. Not to mention the spice! The spice was spicier than anything I’ve read in a hot minute, and was definitely appreciated!

ARC review I enjoyed this book so much! I'm in awe at how fantasy authors can build a world from the ground up. I'm not a big fantasy reader but this had the perfect combo of magic and fantasy and toxic romance. Although Vesper and Bellamy hated each other, I found myself rooting for them after reading both points of view. The story was highly entertaining and kept me swiping page after page. The spice was incredibly well done. And the ending was wow just wow!! A big thank you to Kestrel for letting me read this.
This book set the bar high for 2026 and was the perfect way to start the year. Only my second ARC ever, and I literally read it in one day. It was honestly so fun. It was hot, messy, toxic… the spice was 100000/10. I loved the magic, assassins, and world-building, dark fantasy done right! None of the characters are perfect, and growing with them made it even better. The dual third-person POV pulled me in completely. This book was pure chaos and perfection, and I can’t wait to read more from this author.
This book was the Arc I was looking forward to the most of 2025. Bel and Vespers chemistry was LEAPING off the pages of every chapter. The toxicity had me a little worried at first but as I continued to read and get to know the characters that feeling quickly changed.
Watching Vesper have a soft spot for Cypress made me see her in a different light after painting her to be a rude and arrogant character. Bels character development absolutely blew my mind.
I loved this book! Gimme all the fantasy, magic, sapphic books please!!
Loved the forced proximity and the enemies to lovers aspect of it.
I don’t want to give anything away, but I will say that I felt like I was kinda thrown into their magic world and was a little confused by some of it. Would’ve loved a little bit more world building and explanation but otherwise a great book!
Thank you for the amazing opportunity to have this ARC
I read this book in 2 days , once I started it I was gripped. A few unexpected turns that were a nice surprise . Just the right amount of dark for me, it made me hope there will be a next book, to see the next chapter in the main characters lives. I would recommend it if you like a dark sapphic fantasy romance.
Not my typical genre, but now I'm hooked on these two idiots. Honestly, I want more, I want a series, a TV show, everything. I devoured this book in about two days. In high school I used to play an rpg called Mage: The Ascension; this story took me to a universe with very similar vibes. The futuristic world and magical realism blended with cyberpunk and technoir sets the perfect stage for intense, emotional, complex characters (whose backstories I'd LOVE to learn more about) and all of their complicated interplay. Plenty of grey morality, anti-hero tension, and situations where they just can't seem to get out of their own way, but you still want them to succeed.
Tons of "spice" 🌶️ and live-wire interactions between characters. I particularly enjoyed the shifts between perspectives to give us better insight into the characters' headspace. The dialogue is fun and natural, flows easily. The more you read, the deeper you go into the twisty rabbit hole of the plot, which has some pretty darn gratifying payoffs.
Very glad I gave this a shot, looking forward to getting into everything else this author releases!
OMG, I love these messy lesbians! The story took off from beginning and kept me guessing until the end. I fell hard for Bellamy and Vesper, this was such a good read!
