Fascinating. I felt a mad mix of frustration, insight and heart break reading this. A terrifying look into how control, coercion and abuse can be used in an incredibly powerful, yet intimate fashion. When you hear about cults you normally think of large, sprawling set ups, Lenz’s story is much smaller but almost more damaging due to how personal it is. Also, a really interesting look into how a person of faith can have that faith weaponised against them.

Worth noting, I’ve never seen an episode of One Tree Hill. This is a must read regardless of that.
