All the feels came out in this volume. I felt so much rage toward a certain character that I had previously liked. The drama and pining were HUGE! So many twits and turns in the plot, too. Character secrets and revelations left me glued to the page.
The drums of war continue as King Canute and his Jomsvikings come to reclaim the land of Ketil. Ketil mad in his fear beats Arneis and it was a terrifying scene and not a good one and he tells his men to prepare for battle but they do not know this war will take everything from them. They are farmers after all and the coming brigade lives for war, in his overconfidence Ketil's men are not left alive but the main thrust of the story is about Leif rescuing Thorfinn and his friends and probably the greatest goodbye to a character in the form of Arenis, her farewell and what she says and that promise of Vinland just made this ch one of the best for me, it has war and hope for a peaceful tomorrow all in one and the art is just too good!!

Yukimura has the gift of storyteller, what he does with his story is nuts, the narrative and the plot twists have the necessary measure of expectations and exciting twists, when you think that the story is going down the path of the rawness of the battlefield there is a parallel story full of sadness and introspection and that is the wonder of Vinland.
So heartbroken over the events of this volume, but once again it was brilliant. Ketil is falling apart at the seams, ultimately killing Arnheid, which aches my heart particularly for Einar. Thorfinn and Einar has such a wonderful bromance though. When Thorfinn called Einar “brother,” I almost lost it. Will they arrive to “Vinland,” and create their own country of peace?

Beautiful art. This story is so awesome. One of the best ongoing manga. It is amazing that Makoto Yukimura is not relying only on violence and action, his characters development and tale telling skills truly makes his work a Saga.
