অন্নপূর্ণায়

প্রায় ত্রিশটির বেশি দেশ ঘুরে আসার পর আমার প্রায়ই মনে হয়ে, নিজেদের চেয়ে দরিদ্র দেশে ঘুরে বেড়াতে আরাম বেশি। কিন্তু নেপালের কথা আলাদা। নেপাল ঘুরে আসার পর মনে হলো, ধনী দেশের মধ্যে পড়লেও ওই দেশ আমার অনেক আগেই ভালো করে দেখা উচিত ছিলো।বলতে দ্বিধা নেই, সৃষ্টিকর্তা অনেক বাড়াবাড়ি রকমের সৌন্দর্য দিয়ে তাঁকে লালন করছেন। পাহাড়, মেঘ আর সবুজের এমন সৌন্দর্য পৃথিবীর খুব কম লোকালয়ে আছে। সুইজারল্যান্ড বা সালযবুর্গে যা আছে, নেপালে তার কমতি নেই কোনো অর্থেই। শুধু তাই নয়, মধ্যযুগের দালান নির্মাণে যে পরিমাণ কারুশিল্প তাঁরা সৃষ্টি করেছিলো, সেগুলোও আজকের যুগের এক বিস্ময়। ২০১৪ সালের অক্টোবর মাসে বাংলাদেশ থেকে যাওয়া একদল স্থপতির সঙ্গে প্রায় বাধ্য হয়ে ৮ রাতের সফরে গিয়েছিলাম নেপাল। সে দলের সঙ্গে ঘুরলাম পোখরা, নাগরকোট আর কাঠমান্ডু অঞ্চল। যে স্থাপত্য সম্মেলনের নামে আমার যাওয়া ছিলো, তার রেজিস্ট্রেশন ছিলো না আমার, সে কারণে দিনভর ঝিমিয়ে ঝিমিয়ে বক্তৃতা শোনার সময়টা আমি কাটিয়েছি আমার ক্যামেরা যুগল নিয়ে। চোখ ভরে দেখেছি, কিছু মানুষের সঙ্গেও মিশেছি। সেসবের কাহিনি নিয়েই আমার এ ভ্রমণকথা অন্নপূর্ণায়। এ বইটিতে ব্যবহৃত ছবিগুলো বেশিরভাগই আমার তোলা, কিছু ছবি তুলেছে আমার সহ স্থপতি-পর্যটকেরা। কৃতজ্ঞতা তাঁদের প্রতিও।

Shakoor Majid (শাকুর মজিদ) was born in 22nd November, 1965 at Mathiura village of Beani Bazar in Sylhet. Receiving education in Faujdarhat Cadet College and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, Shakoor has been a professional architect since 1993. However, with his versatility, he has been involved in photography, journalism as well as in creative writing from his childhood. He wrote his first drama for Radio at his 20. From 1996 he started writing for Television. He has written and directed as many as 10 Telefilms and have banked around 2 dozens of awards as the best screen writer and director by different cultural and journalists’ associations. He started filming with video while he had visited the USA in 2001 and started making travel documentaries along this travelogues. So far he has made more than 300 episodes of travel documentaries those aired from different Television Channels of Bangladesh. Apart from these, Shakoor had also produced a documentary film on the legendary mystic singer Shah Abdul Karim named Bahtir Purush. He also had written a stage play named Mohajoner naw (The boat of a merchant), based on the life and philosophy of legendary baul Shah Abdul Karim. Shakoor is a prolific writer too. So far he had written 20 books. Most of them are his travelogues. Rest of them is his memoire and books on Architecture and photography. Architect Shakoor Majid is the part time faculty of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology. Professionally he is the managing director of Tri-space Ltd, Britannia Properties Limited and proprietor of Triangle Consultants and View Finder. His wife Dr. Hosne Ara Jolly is a professor of Jagannath University and is blessed with 2 sons named Ishmam Inteser Majid and Ibon Ibtesham Majidppp
