Goa: 50 Tips for Tourists & Backpackers

Rate this book
What can you say about Goa? How I would have loved to have been with the first Portuguese sailors to set ashore. Known for it's incredible beaches, Goa is also rich in unique flaura and fauna for those that take the time to wander inland. The topical forests abound with in a world-class bio-diverse natural environment.

Talking of world-class, Goa also boasts two World Heritage sites in the Portuguese inspired Born Jesus Basilica and Churches and Convents of Goa. Long before the Portuguese stepped ashore, Buddhist monks had established a presence, and Arabian traders plied these waters, introducing Islamic culture and architecture. This small state is a melting pot of architectural, religious and cultural influences.

And again, the beaches - the main attraction for millions of tourists and backpackers every year. This guide will take you through the attractions, history, culture, architecture and foods of this beautiful state. Download "Goa," now, and get started in planning your visit.

Good Overview

Good short overview, but not enough historical significance for me, personally.
Great read if you are looking for a hotel.
