A hot Irish millionaire who rides a motorcycle, a fifty-year-old mystery that needs solving, and a perfect, picturesque autumn...what more could a girl need?
Autumn has always been my favorite season, but this year might just end up being the best one yet.
A dangerously handsome, mysterious Irishman roars into town on his motorcycle and keeps showing up at the most inconvenient and infuriatingly charming moments. He is everything I should want, yet somehow I cannot let myself fall.
As if that isn’t complicated enough, I’ve stumbled onto a fifty-year-old mystery that refuses to stay buried. Between chasing secrets in old houses and trying not to lose myself in him, I can’t help but wonder if this autumn might finally be the one that leads me to my happily ever after.
Erica is a lifelong fantasy lover who can’t resist a tragic ending. She’s also a sucker for romance and pining, with Pride and Prejudice being one of her all-time favorites. With an English teaching license in her back pocket, she’s currently a stay-at-home mom to two adventurous little boys. She, her husband, their sons, and their two dogs call Nevada home, where they embrace mountain life and the great outdoors. When she’s not writing, you’ll likely find her chasing after her kids, sipping an oversized coffee, or daydreaming about her next story.
Falling in Tahoe by Erica Everett is the third book in this cozy small-town series, and I have to say I adore this little world she’s created. The familiar faces, the sense of community, and the charming Tahoe backdrop make it such an easy series to fall back into.
That said, this particular story didn’t hit quite as hard for me. It felt like an instant love romance, which isn’t one of my favorite tropes, and I had a hard time fully connecting with the relationship because of it.
Even so, I can see why readers who love these tropes would enjoy it. It’s well written, heartfelt, and still captures that small-town magic Erica Everett does so well. It just wasn’t the perfect fit for me this time, and that’s A-OK!
Dare I say Erica has truly found her groove in this sub-genre? I absolutely loved how she wove a touch of mystery and suspense into this sweet, heartfelt romance, it gave the story an extra spark!
Returning to Tahoe was such a treat. Reconnecting with familiar characters made it feel like coming home, and witnessing Jameson and Carly’s love story unfold was genuinely special. Jameson is the ultimate golden retriever hero, full of warmth and good vibes, while Carly is incredibly relatable. You can’t help but root for her happily ever after.
A cozy, captivating read… this is a fall must-read! 🍂📚
If you’re looking for a mysterious cozy fall read look no further! Falling in Tahoe is the perfect fall romance. It has a HOT millionaire mmc AND an unsolved mystery. I loved watching the mcs gravitate towards each other and taking their time to form their relationship. Oh and did I mention he rides a motorcycle 🥵
INFINITI STARS!!! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ An absolute masterpiece. How lucky are we that Erica writes so quickly that we don’t have to wait so long for another installment. My god I think this is my favorite. She knows how to write romance!
You know those romance books that are 500 pages and don’t need to be? Or are 300 pages and they leave you wanting more but in a bad way? Yeah….Erica isn’t either of those!!! I don’t know HOW she writes concise, emotional, full scope romance in 300-ish pages SO WELL! I easily could’ve read 300 more pages of Carly and Jameson in the best way! Not because any of it felt lacking because it absolutely doesn’t!
We have a thorough community, deep trauma, meaningful connections, and individual and relational resolutions without being bogged down with too much detail or random aesthetics! Carly and Jameson were the kind of characters that I wondered what they were doing when I wasn’t reading 😭
And the cozy mystery?! SO FUN! I love a little romantic suspense and this didn’t disappoint! Again, concise! The mystery subplot didn’t take away from the romance or plot even a little! It was a strong, purposeful driving force! And just when I thought I figured it out, I didn’t, then my jaw was on the floor. UGH! It was sooo so good and such a fun way for Carly and Jameson to stay connected outside of what was “necessary”.
This book is also set in fall but you don’t feel like you’re drowning in PSL! The perfect, reasonable touches of autumn and it was gorgeous!!
Do I recommend? YES! Enthusiastically!
Thank you so much Erica for the privilege to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review!
Falling in Tahoe is the 3rd book of an interconnected standalone series. This series is a comfort series for me. I adore the characters and the world Erica has created.
You know that moment in book 2, at the wedding, where it is mentioned that Jameson is watching Carly dance with her boyfriend… I immediately was like “YESS BOOK THREEEEEE!!”
Jameson is the perfect example of quiet and control; while Carly is sunshine and life. They even each other out perfectly. Jameson is able to be that stability and support Carly has been looking for to be able to follow her dreams. Carly is the love and happiness that Jameson has been missing. I really love the dynamic of their personalities.
TROPES 🧡Small town 🤎10-year age gap 💛He talks her through it 🧡Irish millionaire mmc 🤎Single mom 💛T1D rep 🧡Spicy Gilmore Girls 🤎Cozy mystery subplot

This whole series has my heart! Highly recommend. This one was definitely one of my most anticipated reads for the fall. The first 2 books of this series are really just romance, but this one had a little mystery mixed in, too - which I appreciated. Carly is a single mom, bartender and realtor. She meets Jameson at a friends wedding but doesn't think much about it until he reaches out to her later for help in purchasing a vacation home in the Tahoe area. Of course she says yes, and the two of them immediately hit it off. As they're looking at houses, they stumble across something in one of the houses from 50 years ago. They're determined to figure out this 50 year old mystery together.
If you love: ✨ 10 year age gap 🏡 Small town charm 👩👦 Single mom ☘️ Irish millionaire who falls first 🔎 Cozy mystery subplot
Then this one’s for you.
I’ve adored the Love in Tahoe series, but this might be my favorite yet! Carly and Jameson’s story had everything. Chemistry, holiday spirit , and a mystery that pulled me right in. I felt like part of the team uncovering a decades old secret 🕵️♀️ The twist at the end? Wow, loved finding out what actually happened to that couple.
Carly is a single mom, waitress and realtor who finds herself helping an Irish millionaire find a home. Their journey was so fun! And let’s just say… that window scene had me floored 😮💨🔥 plus the dreamy car moment on their first date, I was completely smitten with this couple. Seeing all the familiar faces from past books made it feel like coming home.
Spice:🌶️🌶️🌶️
Available now in paperback & e-book. Thank you, Erica, for the e-ARC.
Another heartwarmingly cozy read in Erica Everetts Tahoe series that gives you all the feels!
I loved coming back to Tahoe in fall and finally getting Carly and Jameson’s story after we’d already gotten snippets on their attraction in the last book. Carly is a great FMC and I’m so glad we get more of her story and her relationship with her daughter Jess. I am a sucker for a single mom romance where she finally finds someone who takes care of her and boy does Jameson deliver! A man who knows what he wants and goes after it in a non creepy way. They both fit into each other’s lives beautifully and Everett once again gives us a wholesome and unproblematic relationship from start to finish - no miscommunication or 3rd arc breakups in sight.
“I was trying to beat you to it, you know. To get you back for last time.” “You’re never paying for coffee as long as I’m around.”
“It’s how I knew—when I watched you dance the night away at the wedding with that glow about you—that I was going to take you out one day.”
“I just wanted to let you know that I’m coming back this weekend. So, Saturday?” “You want to borrow me?” A long, drawn-out pause. “No.” The sound of him letting out a breath, almost like a laugh, fills the void. “I want to keep you.” I pause. “Are you okay with that?” “… Yes.”
I really enjoyed the mystery aspect of the old house and the women who disappeared while Carly and Jameson came together. And great diabetes 1 representation!
This was a solid 4 star read for me. Although I liked Carly and Jameson I just liked Layla and Liam or Danielle and Dex a little more, especially with how insta lusty Carly and Jameson were at times. And idk is it weird to say their lives fit together a little too perfectly..
I’m grateful for the possibility to arc read Falling in Tahoe. I can’t wait for more stories!
Tahoe has become my favorite place to visit through books. I truly adore everything Erica does, and she didn’t disappoint with this one either. Jameson has been the dreamiest green flag mmc ever 😍
Not only does this story give us a cozy feel good romance (no red flags or drama here! Just good ole green flag love) but for the first time, Erica gives us a mystery as well! Seriously the perfect read for October. Applause all around 👏🏼
Favorite parts:
“Smiling to myself, I head to the kitchen to heat up my mug of coffee that will soon be lukewarm again before I ever finish it. The cycle will repeat about ten more times. Moms never have hot coffee.”
As a mama myself, Amen sister. 😅👏🏼
“Something about late nights has always felt so peaceful to me. It's the only time I can fully breathe. Like my body knows that half the world is asleep, and I'm far less likely to be bothered. The world feels quieter.”
As a fellow night owl, I’ve never been understood more. 🖤
Congratulations to Erica Everett on yet another lovable, bingeable, perfect cozy romance… And thank you for the opportunity and honor to read it early. As always, I can’t wait to see what’s next!
Oh man, did I love Carly and Jameson! This experience as a whole reading Two weeks in Tahoe to Summer in Tahoe and then Falling in Tahoe! Reading all of these, is such a experience and I am fully invested in these characters 😍
Jameson, our hot millionaire Irish man, has his eyes set on Carly. Carly is a single mom and puts her family first before herself. She is definitely a character I am able to relate to as a mother. She has the moments of mom guilt, which many moms COMPLETELY understand and can relate too! I loved her in the other books but definitely more in this one!
Also, the way a mystery is played into this romance, is perfect. The way that unraveled was perfection.
What I appreciate so much, especially as a registered nurse, the way Diabetes type 1 is spoke about and the reality of medical expenses that families must face. It’s so real. Also, it’s such a hard diagnosis on both patient and families.
Overall, the FALL VIBES! I love how pumpkin & fall markets were brought into this. I love the romance between these two and it’s such a cozy “feel good” read!
Are you looking for a cozy mystery to read this fall? Falling in Tahoe has all the romantic autumn vibes you want with a PSL loving FMC and an MMC who will try said PSL to impress the girl. I love a man who knows what he wants and goes after it unapologetically, and that's exactly how Jameson is in this book. The FMC, Carly is a single mom who doesn't really have time or motivation to date, but hunky, retired CEO Jameson waltzes into her life and does his best to win her over. There is a mysterious sub plot that adds a flair of spookiness to this otherwise cozy romance and it's a great mix for this time of year. I can't wait to see what else Erica writes! Her Falling in Tahoe series are filled with sweet romances, and they are quick reads so great for a palette cleanser.
What to expect in Falling in Tahoe: ~Cozy Fall Romance ~Age Gap ~Single Mom x Retired CEO MMC ~Mystery subplot ~He Falls First
I'm usually a fantasy romance, romantasy, paranormal romance type of reader. So I haven't read many just regular romance books. But these ones I just adore so much they're funny. They're cozy. They're cute. They're sweet. I love them. The main character, Jameson, starts out seeming like a grump, but he can't keep his eyes off the main female character Carly. And he has wanted her since the very first time he's laid eyes on her at Layla's and liam's wedding. And I just love him he's so sneaky about them going on dates. there is a total murder mystery type of element to this book, which I loved. I've loved every character that's been introduced in these books, but I have a soft spot for a guy with an accent. I was so sad when the book ended. I wasn't done reading their story. I wanted more. I hope she writes another book, maybe with all the coupes and the sisterhood the fmcs have. I will definitely read whatever she writes.
If you want a single-mom, small-town billionaire romance with Gilmore Girls vibes and a cozy mystery subgenre, then this one’s for you! This heartfelt fall romance is the perfect way to bring both nostalgia and a touch of magical energy to the season.
From a sweet and courageous single mother willing to do anything for her daughter—even putting her own life on hold—to a hunky Irish billionaire with a heart of gold who just needs to slow down, this story has it all. The book captures all the comforts of fall: from seasonal drinks and the charming Quaking Aspens (yes, the trees move!) to curling up with comfort movies.
This story delivers all the feels and the joy of falling in love back to Lake Tahoe, where book one began. Another couple falls under the influence of small-town charm and found family. I love how each book takes place in a different season, and although I enjoyed this one slightly more than Winter and Summer, I absolutely can’t wait for Spring!
4.5 🌟 Again, this series are all perfect cozy happy reads. There is an attractive older rich Irishman mmc 👀 and a mother who isnt willing to waste her time or energy on men who dont understand the dedication it takes to be a parent.
Carly (fmc) made me jealous of her "village" but otherwise, I thought she was a good inspiration for younger moms trying to be both parents while figuring out who they are and what they want. I really loved how obsessed and sure Janeson (mmc) was. Asking Carly to be his realtor to spend more time with her was great. When he sent the package to Jess, Carly daughter, I would have said I love you immediately!
Now was the epilogue a hint that Alex (Carlys brother) gets a book next! maybe a fake dating situation? I think its about time to add a military man in the mix 🤔 I am nervous its going to be Marny but I kind of want her to have a comeback arc too.
We return to Tahoe for book three in this cozy, small-town romance series with a touch of mystery! Falling in Tahoe brings Carly and Jameson’s story to life — one that’s been building since their first meeting in book two.
Jameson is a wealthy, older MMC with definite golden retriever energy beneath his confident exterior. Carly, a single mom to an adorable daughter with Type 1 diabetes, has always put everyone else’s needs before her own. Watching her slowly open up and start prioritizing herself as her relationship with Jameson unfolds was so satisfying.
I also loved the hint of cozy mystery woven through the story — it added a fun little twist that kept things interesting! Overall, Falling in Tahoe is a sweet, heartwarming read that’s perfect for fall.
ARC Review - I love going back to Tahoe, especially in Erica’s books. Getting to experience somewhere where I have grown up, to see it written in a romance book is beautiful. Fall is my favorite season. Broody is my favorite man. Jameson is your tall, broody, new book boyfriend. He may be cold to those on the outside but once you get to know him, he is so lovable. I also love a man who rides a motorcycle. Absolutely obsessed with this book and this series. Your next fav cozy fall romance read.
If you’re looking for a cozy and mysterious fall read, Falling in Tahoe has all the romantic autumn vibes. The perfect mix between romance and suspense.
The way I devoured this, it was a quick read, perfect when you need a palette cleanser.
• Cozy Fall Vibes • Age Gap • Single mom x Retired CEO MMC • Mystery subplot • He falls first
Can’t wait to see what Erica writes next because I’m here for it. 🧡
Such a cute and cozy small-town romance. I loved the autumn vibes, the charming setting, and the added touch of mystery gave the story a fun twist. It’s on the shorter side, which made it an easy read and the perfect little palette cleanser. While the insta-love didn’t totally land for me and there were a few jumps in the pacing, the relationship still felt sweet and heartfelt. Overall, a really enjoyable and feel-good read!
A small town cozy romance with a hot single mom, a hot Irish millionaire and a suspicious murder mystery from 60 years ago? Sign me up.
I absolutely LOVED the mysterious sub plot in this novel - it really added to the fall ambiance and made me keep turning the page because I just NEEDED to know what happened.
Jameson being a hot Irishman was just the icing on the cake. I loved his fake grumpy demeanor that changed into “down bad SIMP” at the drop of a hat.
This book was so sweet! It was so fun getting to see familiar faces again (Daniella, Layla, and the boys from the first two books). I loved how strong Carly's character was. And her daughter was a tough cookie too. Jameson was just… yum. I need an Irish millionaire of my own, please!
The mystery subplot was perfect and added just the right amount of low-stakes suspense. Overall, this was such a cozy fall read — but Erica!! The spice in this!!! (It was so good.) I devoured every page.
I adore this series and this latest installment did not disappoint! I love the seasonal fall vibes - not only do we get cozy autumn activities but ALSO a spooky mystery from the past to solve! The MMC is the biggest green flag ever - I'm honestly impressed at how our FMC held out (I would have folded IMMEDIATELY).
Read this one for the: - motorcycle riding MMC - strong independent single mom FMC - billionaire romance - mystery from the past to solve - small town autumn vibes
