I'm the RA. He's the resident I'm about to write up for the third time this week.
My life is a series of checklists and rules. As the Resident Advisor, my job is to maintain order. His job, apparently, is to be the chaos-magnet in 3B, blasting music at all hours and driving me insane.
But when I march to his door to finally lay down the law, he opens it shirtless, tattooed, and smirking. And then his scent hits me.
Thunderstorms. Ink. And something primal that screams mine.
He's not just a problem resident anymore. He's my fated mate. And he's not interested in a noise violation warning. He yanks me inside, slams me against the door, and proves that some rules are meant to be shattered.
But our bond could get me fired and lose me my scholarship. He's the biggest threat to my entire future, and a primal part of me I never knew existed is begging me to let him ruin me completely.
If you're looking for a short, spicy MM omegaverse instalove romance with a rebellious rocker alpha, a perfectionist omega who's in over his head, fated mates, and a love that's instant and inevitable, you're in the right place. No waiting, no slow burn. Just pure, primal claiming with a guaranteed HEA.
Book 2 in the Westbridge Mates series. Can be read alone but books are best enjoyed in order.
The straight laced, uptight omega discovers the rule breaking, chaotic alpha is his fated mate and just says "this isn't in the handbook". Bahahahahaha. Bitch shut up and get your man.

2.5 stars
Toby is an RA at college. He's an Omega and he's a nerd who likes to be really organized and in control. He's the first of his family to go to college, and he's feeling a lot of pressure. He has to deal with a troublesome student who has been making a lot of noise and getting noise complaints, Jionni. Jionni is a wannabe rockstar, a tattooed bad boy. When he goes to confront him, he realizes that Jionni is his fated mate, his alpha. They want to be together, but Toby thinks their relationship is forbidden / unprofessional, and his boss finds out about it and gives him an ultimatum. They have to prove to the housing committee that they are mates and deserve an exception to the policy, as part of Alpha and Omega rights.
I wasn't a huge fan of this. Novellas are always tough, cuz there isn't enough time to develop much in them. But this book spanned like 4 days and it was unrealistically fast for them to get together, break up, prove their relationship all within 4 days of meeting each other. Jionni even wrote Toby a song within 2 days, and it was cheesy. This book really needed to span a longer period of time for it to work. Also, I didn't like that Toby gave up as easy as he did.
This is the second book in the series, and I read the first one. I don't like that in each one, the Omega is a virgin and the alpha is a bad boy who is experienced. It's kind of insulting that the Omega has to be a virgin. And I feel like this book was a really repetitive of the first book. It was very very similar.
Some notable moments:
There's nothing of note.
*FYI about steam: I rate steam based on a combination of quality & quantity. I note kink separate from steam because I don't want to underrate steamy reads that don't have much kink.
**Note about spoilers: I like to comment on the plot of a book in reviews, so I almost always mark my reviews as containing spoilers. But I try to avoid spoiling the big dramatic moments! As a reader, I personally like to know what I'm getting into before I read a book so I know more about the content and if it's to my taste/mood, so I try to give that information in my reviews for myself when I'm considering rereading and also for other readers.
i wasn't really a fan of this one...well, i wasn't really a fan of Toby. like, I completely understand -- maybe -- why he made the choices he did but i didn't have to like them. especially with how cautious and heartbroken Jionni was.
i LOVE the insta in this series but unfortunately Toby taught us that despite being fated mates you can fight it easily with no consequences.
weird.
regardless, it was okay. if it were any longer, this would've pissed me off lol
I should’ve known better. The first book in the series wasn’t that great but I thought I’d give the author another try. Disappointed. Not only was the story not as good as the first but had all the same issues. Grammatical errors. Inconsistencies. Repeated ideology. I won’t make the same mistake again.
Toby is the RA for his dorm building. One student has already had a few notes/warnings left on his door about the noise. So he decides to confront him face to face. When the door opens, Jionni, drags him inside. They are fated mates. Blah blah blah. That’s it. The rest is overly dramatic nonsense just like the first book. The story could’ve been cut in half and been a novella.
One stickler for the rules and one who could care less about rules. Perfect match right?
Toby & Jionni's are definitely opposite, but I think it's what they both need and what fits them perfectly. This book follows the same kinda premise as book one except for a jock Jionni is a musician.
Toby has a bit more difficult letting go of his rules until he learn some rules are meant to be broken. I like that they added some interaction with the parents. I was wondering from book 1.
So, the writing is done very well, like the first book I read from this author. However, in my opinion, it is not nearly as good as the first book. I feel like it was missing emotions that the first book provided, and the story was rushed a lot more than in book one. Again, the writing style is great, but I got zero emotional connection to the book. I'm a tad disappointed, to be honest.
Great start to a series. Looking forward to more books by this author. The characters are just so in love but there is a little angst to towards the end. But they get a happy ending.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Jionni and Toby’s story was much better than the previous one in my opinion. Jionni was much more gentle and understanding than I was expecting him to be and their relationship felt real. I really liked them together
This novella delivered exactly what it promises. Instalove, spice, and alphas going alpha. It is a quick easy read, perfect for a lazy morning read or late night wind down.
