Amazing second book!

My review for book 1 still stands after reading the second one. This series could be 8-10 books long and never lose my attention once. The entire book was engaging and well written and I enjoyed the big reveal near the end a lot. I can’t wait for the next book!

This book was quite good. The MC gains to more likely members for the harem, though he's not been intimate with either yet. This helps the pacing quite a bit.

This book gets quite political at times, though not being a reflection of any Earth politics that are current. Just a lot of political intrigue, espionage, and traitors. It makes for a decent background to the MC and his harem forming.

Dual cultivation is definitely in play strongly, as the MC has been told that his family's artifact grants him more power the larger and more tightly bound his harem is. That's my only dislike so far with this series.

The politicking went to home in this book. After the events of the first book, i thought this one would have some of the issues the MC had resolved; but i was stupid to believe so. Still, enjoyed this book very much and after the ending this book had, i am looking for the third entry in the series.

Fantastic!

This sequel takes everything up a notch, amazing political tension, an MC how stands up for what's right, great action, and a little bit of spice to top it all off, Shane continues to he one of my favorite authors in this genre.

Good sequel

Plenty of action and excitement. The political parts of the book weren’t my favorite but that is my opinion. As for the romance part with Adrinia, I never understand why authors put elves in their stories when they have longer lifespans. Kind of ruins it for me.

Fun book. Some editing needs to be done but it’s nothing major. The tension between two love interests was very well done. I’ll read book 3 for sure.
