Micah was single and although she hadn't been with a man in almost a year she made sure she came on the regular. She was a whole freak and I was here for it. Halloween brings an opportunity that she just can't pass up. It was like her fantasies were all coming true in one night. I wasn't ready for it to end because I wanted in on the action with Gabby and Sailor Moon. Also the Mmc was a whole stalker and I wanted to see what else he had up his sleeve.
SN: um can we talk about this thrust machine 😳 because that's wild.....where can I find it 🤣
This was a GOOD time. I need 200 more pages of them, please. The reveal at the end was predictable but didn’t take away from the story. It kind of enhanced it because of the forbidden nature of it. Also we love a woman who is sexually liberated. Micah was a freak and unapologetic about it.
I enjoyed this spicy read. I need something light to read. I hope Shon writes more Halloween short stories in the future because this one had me on my toes.
This is really an erotic short rather than a romance because we don't get an HEA here, BUT it's a fun romp with some good primal play and black characters so I don't even mind. I would love to see this as the prequel short before a full length romance because I like both these characters and I think it could be a fun mashup of stalker/boss employee that I haven't really seen before.
4.25⭐️🌶️🌶️🌶️ I literally want to know more about their story because there’s no way that this is only a one-time thing. You feel the chemistry from their very first interaction.
Baby whoever thought you'd be slutted the f*** out in a f****** graveyard on Halloween night.... That's not a fantasy of mine but now it might the f*** be. Damn Micah is wild s*** the ending is wild, I expected it but also didn't expect it. SHON You're the f*** out of What 70 something pages.. 7 magical multiple orgasms back to back and a black out... is you cool if that's possible maybe sign me the f*** up.😅 Now I definitely called on who him was... But I aint expect all that s***...this was amazing
I ain’t never thought about being freaked out in a graveyard
One thing Shon going to do is turn us all out in less than 100 pages and this one took me about an hour to read 🚬 Shon girl when that man said run baby my heart went to my chest and the ending baby was chef’s kiss 🤣🤣
In a graveyard is different. But the stalker took the cake for me. He made sure to be undetected and Idk I find that quite sexy 🫣🫢. Don’t judge me lol. This was short and spicy.
This was a quick and nasty holiday short that i throughly enjoyed. If you need to feed your erotic itch well tap in and get them track shoes ready. This is full of excitement and pleasure. Definitely left me wanting more.
4 ⭐️ & 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5. **Sigh** one thing about Shon, the MMC is always going to love on and worship the MFC. This Halloween novella was no exception, and I was absolutely here for it!
Now that was a Halloween short I’m not mad at. I feel like she can continue this story or give us a full length stalker romance. Please give us a full length stalker romance
Micah’s inner thoughts were a whole treat throughout this one 😭 She is hilarious without even trying. The sexy times? Yeah, the Pumpkin Man understood the assignment 🎃🔥
It was quick, spicy, and had just enough mystery to keep me locked in. That twist at the end though? Micah girl… you are being watched 👀
Perfect little Halloween read with heat and humor. 4.5⭐ because it gave exactly what it needed to for a short, spooky good time.
TW - stalking, hidden cameras, use of the n word (colloquial)
CW - primal play, anonymous sex, sex club, restraints (scs), power exchange, masked MCs, voyeurism, exhibitionism, recording of intimate acts, degradation, public play, forced orgasms, impact play (spanking), katoptronophilia
Tropes - hidden identity, halloween, erotica, one night stand
Representation - queer rep, plus size FMC
Short and fun Halloween read where Micah gets Dicked down in a graveyard by a masked man 🤪. I know this is a short but, in my head, she finds out who her masked man was 😉
Scale: ⭐️ - would've DNF'ed / continued out of spite ⭐️⭐️ - shit, but whatever ⭐️⭐️⭐️ - meh, could've been better ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - lit 👅 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - loved it, inject this shit into my veins 🤪
This was steamy, spicy, explicit, and straight to the point. Micah, our FMC, is in desperate need of releasing some pent-up tension.Since her breakup with her scrub of an ex She hasn’t had any real satisfaction in a while and has been relying on her toys and videos to get the job done.
When she gets an invite to a Halloween party at an exclusive sex club, she decides it’s time to let go of her inhibitions and just enjoy herself. I honestly thought this story was going to center around her hooking up with one specific person, the guy on the cover, but nope! My girl gets pleasured by herself and others at the club too. She’s exploring, having fun, and completely embracing the night.
It’s exactly what she needs, especially since she’s juggling a high-stress job and a straight-laced boss. And speaking of that boss, he calls her while she’s at the club and yes, she answers.
This one is short, spicy, and to the point. But that twist at the end will have you wanted another book to follow up.
This spicy Halloween short did exactly what it needed to do. From the first few pages, I was hooked, and by the time things started heating up, I definitely needed a glass of water and a fan. The author sets the scene perfectly—a haunted house masquerade filled with tension, temptation, and mystery. The mix of eerie atmosphere and steamy chemistry made it impossible to stop reading.
I’ll admit, I figured out who the person was a little earlier on, but that didn’t take away from the experience at all. If anything, it made me even more excited to see how it would all unfold. The buildup, the pacing, and the pay-off were all on point for a novella of this length.
Don’t Run is quick, bold, and satisfying—a fun, steamy read that delivers the perfect mix of heat and suspense. It’s the kind of story that proves you don’t need a long book to make an impact.
Don’t Run doesn’t waste time pretending to be something it's not! It's pure indulgence, wrapped in a Halloween-themed thrill. The smut IS the story, and that’s exactly what makes it work. Bold, funny, and perfectly filthy.
Micah’s chaotic humor (“running isn’t my ministry” — girl, same lmao) balances the heat perfectly, and her inner commentary had me laughing even as things got darker (“somewhere my grandma is praying for me…” 😭😂). The masked-man chase scene hits that perfect mix of danger and desire; the tension stays high, the writing stays immaculate, and the ending ties it all together with a wicked little wink.
Don’t go in expecting romance — go in expecting chaos, chemistry, and a wild night you’ll definitely remember. Shon delivers again! 🙌🏽

It was high on the spice factor for sure and it was no surprise as to who the masked man was but that didn't take away from the book for me. I liked reading the scene they had together and the aftercare he provided her once it was done was nice to see as well. I understood this was a short but it left me with some questions like where did Micah work since she was mentioned as being his assistant and I wanted to know how he was able to pull off what was revealed at the end. I also would have liked to know what Micah got into after she left the party. Overall, I enjoyed the book but I just wanted a little bit more.
