This book was extremely informative of the topic. It was very detailed, and it had some interesting points, vignettes, case studies, and "think like an administrator" exercises to apply the knowledge. The problem is, it reads just like a textbook. The best textbooks, in my experience, read more like a story, where the author pulls you in with the information provided. This book simply drones on and on and on.... you get the point. It's a shame because it really entails some interesting knowledge, but it's hard to make yourself keep going, let alone enjoy it.
A broad overview of law enforcement administration. Fairly rudimentary and not uniquely different from other texts on the subject. Overall, a good text.
