One Last Kiss: The Elder World Series

Rate this book
With my mind back intact, danger is approaching from every direction. I’m not sure how much longer we can outrun it.

Xavier, Uri, and my father are chasing us through veils while Darce tries to train me with my light power. Will we be able to hold on to each other this time? How can there be peace in a veil fuelled by hate? Afterlight is saturated with an ancient evil. I’m not sure if our combined powers will be enough to destroy it. It doesn’t matter how much Darce believes in me, I’m not strong enough, I can feel it.

I might have a destiny, but I fear saving Afterlight will cost the one thing I am not willing to sacrifice.

If it comes between my life or his, there is no contest. I would gladly give my life for Darce. The only problem is he feels exactly the same way about saving me. There will be no compromise from either of us.

What if that dooms the both of us?

This book gets a 4.5 stars

Where to start. This is the last book in the trilogy... And it didn't let me down... We have our shadow daddy Darce (who is yummy in so many ways), and our FMC Alora. This book ends where book 1 ends but with all the memories of book 2.... Like you can't miss either book 1 or 2 before reading this book as you need to in order to know what is going on.

As the love between Darce and Alora blooms, of course there is something evil in the background. You find more about the history of the Elder's. There is so much I want to say but most things would cause spoilers. I can say that their love can battle anything. We have some really crap things that happen in the middle part of the book that had me screaming internally and wanting to message Bee about her doing that to my Darce.... Like nope..... Not nice and then what happens to both of them had me even more fuming as it progressed. BUT this book ends in a HEA. There would be only 1 thing that would make me even more satisfied but in the prolong, it kinda started to talk about it. IYKYK.

So if you want a true shadow daddy who can do some amazing things with his shadows, a love that will last through the years (like literally), some interesting history and a HEA, this is your book.

Thank you to the author for providing me with a copy as I absolutely loved this trilogy

DARCE. GOT. HIS. POV.

That's it. That's the review.

...okay fine, more.

One Last Kiss is a damn near perfect conclusion to The Elder World. The yearning is unreal. The sacrifice (over and over and over) wrecked me. B.L.'s prose has always shone, but this book? It glitters. It cuts. It made me cry, laugh, cackle, and sigh.

Was it flawless? No. The Silverlight challenge scene didn't fully land for me, and Alora's whiplash devotion to Xavier had me confused more than once.

But it has been five days since I finished, and I cannot stop thinking about Darce. About Alora. About that ending and what Bee left unresolved.

A reread is in my immediate future.

If you've made it this far in the series, buckle up. It's worth every page. 🖤📖♾️

what the heck!!!

this was a crazy journey..i cried and laughed and then cried some more.

darce and alora are everything and more. their love for each other is pure and obsessive and so full of passion.

they go through so much this story…like all these years wasn’t enough, now this!?! the hurt and anguish i felt for them during those moments.

the lore, the world building, the backstories. it added so much to the story. even with book 2, and given all of alora’s memories, this book added so much to the whole world. the magic. the history.

it was so rich in detail. you can vividly picture these veils and worlds they describe.

also the ending….wow. i need more of drace and alora please. like i need to see how their life is married and happy and just living in bliss.

Arc read 🤍🖤

Wow just wow this woman really knows how to give me whiplash with her books! Literally 😅
Alora & Darce what can I actually say my mind is blown with how good this series has been I have loved every minute of being stuck in the elder world 🤍🖤

As this author knows my love for Darce is so deep that I have laughed at his sarcastic comments to Alora and I also cried which never happens for me reading 🙄😫😫 I don’t want to say too much as I don’t want to spoil the experience for anyone else. Darce and Alora’s story really does go through all the emotions and I’m excited to see what this author has up her sleeve next 🙄😅😅

Wow, just wow! One Last Kiss by B.L. Wilde, the third book in The Elder World Series, is a real page-turner.

This book has everything I love:

* Angst that's almost painful
* A protective, obsessive, and swoon-worthy MMC
* A headstrong FMC who's just as obsessed
* Scorching hot spice
* so much banter
* Action and drama that'll keep you on the edge of your seat

It took me on such an emotional rollercoaster. There were moments that were infuriating, heartbreaking, heartwarming and utterly swoon-worthy. If you're looking for a book that will wreck you in the best possible way, this is it!

So sad it’s finally all over!!!!
And his was a whirlwind of an ending though! There were times I was on the edge of my seat wanting to scream, I had to put the book down and just simmer at one point. I had such a great time reading each of these books. Truly a highlight of my reading journey lately!
Thank you so much B.L. Wilde for this amazing trilogy!!!! I love and related so much with Alora from the very beginning. I loved her journey. And omg do we love Darce, there’s nothing more to say 5star man.

🚨 A R C - R E V I E W 🚨

I genuinely didn’t think I could love Alora & Darce any more than I already did… and yet here I am, completely obsessed all over again. This book has EVERYTHING - love, heartbreak, betrayal, and plenty of spice 👀🔥. The world-building? Incredible. The character growth? Even better. B.L. Wilde absolutely nailed this series. So grateful I got to be an ARC reader for all three books, and I’m already counting down for whatever she gives us next!

So much happened in this book… I’m having a hard time putting all my feelings into words. 🥹🥹🥹 This series has so many wonderful characters, moments, and emotions. I am not ready to say goodbye to these characters. As for many final books in trilogies there was a lot of action and dramatic parts, which I totally loved. I will be thinking about this series for a very long time. I’m excited to read more from this author in the future!

What an absolutely amazing way to end this series. I’m just blown away with how good this was. The world building was phenomenal. And the description 🤯. This immediately pulled me into their world. Through all the chaos, moments, emotions and more. It was just wonderful. I’m so sad that it’s ending, but so beautifully done.
