Arris and Jayme are forever connected by their son. As high school sweethearts they had big dreams of a forever that ultimately ended up as healthy coparenting. The two are navigating their lives, dating other people until they decide they want to date the same person.
Dyani moves to D-Ville to be closer to her brother and the first face she sees is Arris who shows up at the airpot as a favor. She quickly falls into a situation with not just Arris but Jayme as well.
Welcome to D-Ville where love is complicated and loyalty is tested.
Omg!! I loved these three but that’s no surprise. ML does a great job with poly/why choose romances. Arris, Jayme and Dyani were the perfect balance. Healthy and honest communication, respect, and love between them was great. Arris is a man that knows what he wants and has no shame going for it. He’s also a gentle and loving man. He stands tall on business. Jayme is definitely a safe place for them both to land. She understands the value of family and takes no bs. Her relationship with her father is amazing. Now for Dyani she seemed liked one of the world’s most beautiful butterflies. It took her moment to find her footing and had me worried.
Let me not forget the spice and passion between these three. No matter if all three or two at a time they were making it do what it do baby. I love the intimate details of them being together and it not always involving sex. Then of course there was drama that fed well into the story. Jayme and Dyani crashing out had me rolling. Lastly, i love how they’re all artsy in their own way. Hairstylist, tattoo artist and an art dealer.
This was so cute! I love a man who knows what he wants and can actually communicate it clearly. Arris was such a soft thug for the ladies 🫣. The fact that they all wanted each other made it even better. If ML Bash writes it, I’m reading it, especially if it’s poly!
There’s so much delight to be had from a well-written FFM and ML Bash is going to give us one EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Her characters are always whole individuals, living their lives and then choosing each other to supplement what they’ve already got going on. Know that if she writes it, I’ma read it.
Arris is many things: a present and active coparent, a talented tattoo artist, a good friend, and an active member of his gang. (AHT! Stay with me!) He loves his ex, Jayme, and is sure he always will. They just didn’t work out as a couple. Maybe it was their youth or they had different desires for their futures. It doesn’t matter now anyway because Jayme seems to be happy with her girlfriend. And as long as Jayme and their son are safe and happy, Arris is okay with that.
One day, Arris’s best friend asks him for the most dreaded friend favor. He needs him to go to the airport and pick up his little sister. Arris is a good friend, so he picks up Dyani, makes sure she eats, and gets her safely to her brother’s home.
Dyani is a woman looking to do new things in life. She’s moving to a new city, hoping to renew her relationship with her brother while building a new life for herself.
Jayme is going to keep things cute… as long as you keep it cute with her. She has no problem throwing hands, feet, or whatever else she has to in order to protect her child, herself, or her peace.
As life sometimes will, it throws Jayme and Dyani together and the two begin building a tentative friendship. Jayme has a section to celebrate her birthday and something about the energy between her, Dyani, and Arris is… different. They do a little unplanned exploring and it’s UP from there.
The journey that Arris, Dyani, and Jayme take is not an easy one. But they communicate, they’re intentional, they choose each other and they’re not shy about it! (Arris, Arris, ARRIS- the man that you are!)
Y’all tryna ride with me to D’ville Projects or nah?
ML Bash is definitely the GOAT when it comes to writing poly/why-choose romances. The finale to The DVille Project gives us an FMF story full of chemistry, emotion, and spice.
Arris and Jayme are former teenage sweethearts who broke up years ago but still share a close bond and co-parent their son beautifully. Jayme’s now in a relationship with her longtime girlfriend, who’s insecure about her connection with Arris but she’s actually the one cheating. So Jayme breaks up with her.
Enter Dayani, Arris’s best friend’s little sister and Jayme’s new neighbor. Her brother connects her with them on separate occasions. She’s attracted to Arris, and they start secretly dating while she also builds a friendship with Jayme. Everything changes when the three of them hook up on Jayme’s birthday. That’s her birthday wish.
Dayani is scared of her brother finding out about her dating Arris, and later, about their poly dynamic, which creates tension between her and Arris. I liked how Jayme becomes the balance between them, helping both understand each other’s perspectives.
What I really appreciate throughout this book is that Arris constantly reassures both women that he wants them both and no one else. It’s never portrayed as just a random hookup or something done in the heat of the moment. The poly dynamic feels intentional and equal . Whenever I’m reading poly romancing or watch you sometimes there also feels like a portion of the dynamic like each other more than another one does. They actually intentionally date each other collectively and individually.
There’ s drama, lots of spice, individually too so. and the three of them navigating this new dynamic, but it all wraps up really well. Short, steamy, and one of my top reads from ML Bash.
If it’s one thing Ms. ML Bash finna do is write a good ssa WHY CHOOSE!
I absolutely loved this book and the fact that is was a bit longer than a typical novella because I wasn’t ready to leave the dynamic relationship that Arris, Jayne, and Dyani had with each other.
Arris was such a lover boy and I love how intentional he was about dating Dyani with the intention to marry from jump. There was no unsureness or scheming & he let her know how he was feeling about her once he knew she was into him. Jayme was such a strong character and I loved that about her. She was sweet but also no nonsense and always ready to whoop ssa if necessary. I loved witnessing them all fall in love with each other and standing ten toes down about the strength of their relationship.
Don’t hesitate to read this one yall, it’s good AF!
Well that was a ride. ML Bash is one of my favorites so I knew it was gonna be good. I wasn't expecting the Thruple/Polyamory relationship. It was interesting and confusing but had me looking some things up. I wasnt sure where this was headed in the beginning but neither did Dyani. I liked Aaris because he didn't play about his women and son. He was a protector and provider. Jay and Dyani was with it so it worked for them. I'm glad Darryl was able to accept his sister's choice but it probably would've been easier had she told him then we would've missed out on all the drama. It was a good story. This is the last book in the series a d I've read them all. They were busy in D-Ville Projects.
Man, I'm not into the throuple thing, but it worked for them. I totally felt where Darryl was coming from regarding Arris and Dyani. Arris was way too cocky for me, and he tried to son Darryl one too many times for me. Idk if it should have been that easy for Arris to come back after being disloyal to his friendship. As a man, Arris should have told Dyani that we need to tell Darryl from the rip. I thought the storyline would have been something this Jay and Arris are competing for Dyani. However, it wasn't, and the storyline still ended up being good.
“I knew without a doubt everything was exactly what it was supposed to be.”
this was a cute story! the beginning came in strong, i liked seeing arris and dyani get to know each other… and then when jayne was in the mix, it really felt like all three of them would be poured into the same. but as the story went on, it leaned more toward arris and jayme than arris, jayme, and dyani. kind of like dyani was their girlfriend and not them all in a couple. still, i loved how arris protects and uplifts his girls! he gives off the vibe that he’s solid enough to handle two beautiful women! 🎀
This definitely the best way to end a series like this!!!… I love the way these 3 adults were able to come together, spk on what they wanted and how to make it work!!!… Arris did not play about Jayme or Dyani and vice versa!!!… They were smooth with how they managed their household and supported each other on their goal and talked soooo openly about their fears!!!… There was sooo much to love about this book and characters in it!!!…
Now this was sexy and inspirational. I loved Arris, Jayme & Dyani... Arris and Jayme more so because they were comfortable in their skin and owned it. The support they gave each other as co-parents as well as Dyani. They helped her own who she was and tell her family to stand be her or move around.
The love displayed in this book was awe-inspiring.
I loved this down! I'm a bashie, and she never disappoints. I loved this storyline and loved how genuine and authentic each relationship was. Even Darryl and Jayme. I wanted to buss someone upside their head but it was handled so I'm straight lol great read
What an absolutely amazing ending to the D-Ville Projects series. I really enjoyed the true and genuine love & friendship exhibited by these three. Arris is absolutely The Man!!!
I loved this. They all became one and loved on each other. It’s was some hot scenes in here that had me clutching my kindle to my chest, to make sure nobody can see what I was reading. But this book was soooo good.
Love a why choose and nobody does them like ML Bash. I never have a complaint when reading her work. It’s been a while since I visited D-Ville and I wasn’t disappointed. I love the bond that all three of our MCs had both individually and as a unit.
I love a no hardship black relationship, I love it even more that it is a poly one. It is so hard to find black poly books especially with two women. Thank you for making this book. 💕
