Voted Favorite Debut Romance Author of 2020 by the Australian Romance Readers Association, Anna Foxkirk writes romance stories filled with love, laughter and happy ever after...

Anna loves foxtrotting with words and she's a fiction vixen (her 'cunning' means never getting caught without a book), but she's seldom bushy-tailed! Anna has an MA in Modern History from St Andrew’s University, Scotland, served as an officer in the military for seven years (including four operational military tours in war-torn Bosnia and living in Edinburgh Castle) and nowadays, when she's not writing or reading, she enjoys a quiet(ish!) life working as an English and humanities teacher.

Born in Fiji, Anna has spent most of her life trotting the globe. She loves sea-swimming (frequently) and line-dancing (badly). Her love of adventure, romance and humor blaze a trail through her stories.

Three witty and fun romances set at Christmas time, all with different characters, different locations and all made me smile.

Merry Hell
Meredith (Merry) is getting married today to Jason yes it is Christmas but that is just what she wanted, but things don’t go to plan when Merry is jilted at the altar, the best man Mike who Merry has known since they were at school steps in to make sure she is OK but does he have other reasons could it be that he wants Merry and what about Merry when she really thinks about her feelings. This one is filled with lots of fun.

The First Noelle
Noelle has just broken up with her boss, boyfriend and decides that she will be maid of honour at her best friend’s wedding, but that means a trip to New Zealand, the trip over is terrible she is crammed between two men, one of whom although very good looking makes her blood boil for the wrong reasons and she is hoping not to see him again but life throws curve balls and it appears that the obnoxious man, Sam is the best man, Christmas day on the beach will change Noelle’s life.

Holly Ever After
What happens when New Zealander, Holly who is teaching in England gets locked in a stationary room with grounds man, Scottish Clyde, overnight well the sparks will fly could this be the turning of their lives could they find love?

I did very much enjoy these three stories, I think Holly and Clyde were my favourites, all three stories had me laughing and cheering them on, these stories are described by the author a messy, fun rom coms and I totally agree, if you are looking for short Christmas stories that will brighten your day then this book is one I highly recommend.

I love Christmas stories, and The Festive Fix was the perfect read for me. I’m a big fan of short stories, and this book delivers three delightful festive romances. Each story features a very different scenario, yet all are filled with just the right balance of wit, heart, and Christmas charm.

Merry Hell
Meredith (Merry) is set to marry Jason on Christmas Day but things don’t go according to plan. When Merry is jilted at the altar, it’s the best man, Mike her longtime friend from school who steps in to make sure she’s okay. As emotions run high and long-buried feelings surface, Merry must stop and truly consider what she wants from love and life.

The Worst Noelle
Noelle agrees to be maid of honour at her best friend’s wedding, which means travelling to New Zealand perfect timing after a painful breakup. Unfortunately, the journey itself is anything but perfect. She’s wedged between two men on the plane, one of whom is handsome, rude, and utterly infuriating. She hopes she’ll never see him again, only to discover that Sam, the obnoxious stranger, is the best man. Christmas Day brings an unexpected twist that changes everything.

Holly Ever After
When Holly, a New Zealander teaching in England, gets locked overnight in a stationery room with Scottish groundsman Clyde, sparks are inevitable. Things don’t go quite as planned for poor Holly at first, but sometimes the most magical moments come from the most unexpected situations.

I really enjoyed all three stories, but The Worst Noelle was my favourite. A charming, festive collection that’s perfect for cosy Christmas reading.

My first read for 2026 and my first read by Anna Foxkirk. Thank you Anna, a great kick start to my 2026 reading.

This little trio of stories is a delight to read and enjoy. Three stories about three women and the complications and mixups life inevitably throws up when searching for 'the one'.
