I love Christmas stories, and The Festive Fix was the perfect read for me. I’m a big fan of short stories, and this book delivers three delightful festive romances. Each story features a very different scenario, yet all are filled with just the right balance of wit, heart, and Christmas charm.
Merry Hell
Meredith (Merry) is set to marry Jason on Christmas Day but things don’t go according to plan. When Merry is jilted at the altar, it’s the best man, Mike her longtime friend from school who steps in to make sure she’s okay. As emotions run high and long-buried feelings surface, Merry must stop and truly consider what she wants from love and life.
The Worst Noelle
Noelle agrees to be maid of honour at her best friend’s wedding, which means travelling to New Zealand perfect timing after a painful breakup. Unfortunately, the journey itself is anything but perfect. She’s wedged between two men on the plane, one of whom is handsome, rude, and utterly infuriating. She hopes she’ll never see him again, only to discover that Sam, the obnoxious stranger, is the best man. Christmas Day brings an unexpected twist that changes everything.
Holly Ever After
When Holly, a New Zealander teaching in England, gets locked overnight in a stationery room with Scottish groundsman Clyde, sparks are inevitable. Things don’t go quite as planned for poor Holly at first, but sometimes the most magical moments come from the most unexpected situations.
I really enjoyed all three stories, but The Worst Noelle was my favourite. A charming, festive collection that’s perfect for cosy Christmas reading.
