I moved here hoping it would help me forget.

Not completely, of course. How could I, given what I did?

But in the three years I’ve lived in this cozy town nestled in the Green Mountains of Vermont, the memories have dulled. And though I never thought it possible, there are days I’m even happy.

Or I was. Until I found myself in a sinking car after my brakes failed, only to discover later it wasn’t an accident. Until I find out the nightmare I thought I left behind in Boston somehow followed me here.

When I saw Hazel’s car sinking into the river, I didn’t hesitate to go after her.

Not just because, as a former Green Beret, I had the skills to save her. But because the idea of losing her to the cold, inky depths was unthinkable.

Not Hazel, with her gorgeous smile that lights up a room. Not Hazel, whose haunted eyes remind me so much of my own.

I can’t imagine anyone wanting to hurt her. But if they try again, they’ll have to come through me. And with my skills as a security expert, along with the rest of my team, we’ll keep her safe, no matter what it takes.

Mountain Savior has a protective (and brilliant computer expert) hero, a heroine struggling with her past, small-town vibes, a security team of Special Ops veterans, found family, edge-of-your-seat twists, and sweet and steamy moments. Can be read as a standalone and an HEA is guaranteed.

Safety:

Safe. No OM/OW
No cheating
No intimate scenes with OP
No virgins
No obsessing about ex lovers (With exception. Please refer to plot below)
HEA with a proposal

(SPOILERS!!!!)

Plot:

FMC (age unknown but I think in her early 30’s) is haunted by an incident that occurred 3 years prior where a guy she was dating for several months stalked her and murdered her female friend to get to her. She was traumatized, heartbroken and felt guilty that she was the reason her friend got murdered. The stalker/deranged madman of an ex was killed by the police right in front of her so she leaves Boston to go to ME to start over.

There she meets MMC (40 yrs old) who is a former army ranger who has his own issues (aka he thought a good friend of his that he trusted & cared about had turned traitor on him and his team and got someone they both cared about to be killed. (turns out the guy is innocent and MMC got things wrong).

Anyway, for 3 yrs, MCs had a mild attraction toward one another and were more like acquaintances than anything else until in the present someone cuts FMC’s brakes and she ends up in a ditch where MMC saves her.

Then they start to get close until another attack is made on her and he has her move into one of the cabins that he and his fellow security friends have for damsels in distress.

For pretty much 70% or more into the story, they are just 2 people hanging out and getting to know each other as just friends. Then suddenly they kiss, have sex and are a couple.

The last 10-15% or so is them & his friends trying to find out who is after her and why. When the mystery reveals itself, it was such a downer as it pretty much resolves itself in two pages.

So for me, this was very boring because it lacked that element of suspense, tension & romance that I need in my reads to keep me interested and invested. The MCs, while likable, felt more like HS kids than grown ass adults they were supposed to be. I did like that author spent time developing their relationship but wholly crap! Did it need to be for the entire story? I needed chemistry and hotness. I needed the suspense to keep me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what happens next and who the baddie could be. I needed something to wake me up instead of making me doze off. So for this reason, it only gets 2 stars from me because at least MMC was not a Manho, FMC was not a virgin and there was no pining for ex’s or having OW pop-up everywhere. FMC did think of her ex (OM who was the stalker/psychopath) but only in the sense of what had happened to her and how guilty she felt that it was because of her that the OM killed her innocent friend.

I also as I always state in my reviews, like strong/kick-ass heroines instead of helpless/needy ones because I’m no wall flower and I need my FMCs to be full partners instead of idiots, but unfortunately this FMC fell in the former category and the MMC too was no Alpha either so yeah, it didn’t work for me but maybe it will for others.

**Edge of My Seat!**

*Mountain Savior* is the fourth book in the Green Mountain Guardians series, and Hazel and Alec's love story had me hooked from the first page to the last. Hazel moved to Bliss three years ago, seeking a fresh start after a terrible breakup that ended badly. While working as a waitress, she meets Alec, whom she secretly looks forward to seeing every time he comes in. Alec, a former Green Beret and part of the Green Mountain Guardians, also owns his own security company and secretly has a crush on Hazel.

Neither Alec nor Hazel is initially looking for a relationship, but that all changes when Hazel is involved in a mysterious car accident, and Alec happens to come across the scene. He jumps in and saves her life. When they discover that the accident was no accident—someone is after Hazel—the danger intensifies, putting her at greater risk. Alec's protective instincts kick in, and he will do anything to keep Hazel safe.

As they spend more time together, the tension and intensity of their feelings and connection grow until they cannot fight their emotions any longer, and they finally give in to their attraction. The slow-burning romance between Alec and Hazel was captivating, and I didn't want it to end. The suspense, mystery, and thrilling twists made it easy to read in one sitting.

Additionally, the found family support from Alec's team, the Green Mountain Guardians, is fantastic, showcasing what true friendship is all about. They demonstrate their loyalty by showing up, offering support, and helping to protect the women they love.

Mountain Savior is the fourth book in the Green Mountain Guardians series, and being one of Gia’s beta readers I’m privileged to read the story in advance and give a voluntary and honest review. She had me glued to my Kindle right from the first chapter with heart pounding action as Hazel who’s working at Blissfull Brews as a waitress has an accident with her car and is being saved by Alec.

Alec – ex Green Beret - has his own security system company and is part of GMG. He’s known Hazel since she moved to Bliss a few years ago and has been secretly admiring her from afar. He feels an attraction towards her but thinks he doesn’t really want a relationship so he keeps it in the friend zone.

Hazel wanted to start a new life after a relationship with a man who wouldn’t accept their break up which ended up with murder. Desperate to start a new life she ended up in Bliss where she found new friends and a nice job. She’s most definitely not looking for a new relationship but can’t deny the attraction she feels towards Alec, but just like him she keeps it in the friend zone.

That all changes however when the attacks start, prompting Alec to turn overprotective and wanting to help her find out who’s behind it all and why she’s the target. It starts with a freak car accident making her end up in the lake and being saved by Alec and then someone breaking into her house trying to kill her. He decides to call in the help of his GMG teammates and bring Hazel to their headquarters where he can keep her safe.

Seeing the attraction between Alec and Hazel turn into deeper feelings was one of my favorite parts of the story. I loved seeing the rest of the team and their women immediately take Hazel in their fold and treating her as one of the family while leaving no stone unturned to solve the case. Gia also threw in some surprises which made the story even more intriguing.

All in all this was yet again a great story in a series that keeps getting better with every book. If you’re into overprotective men willing to do everything they can for the woman they’re falling for, suspense that keeps you turning the pages to find out how it all ends, then Mountain Savior is the book for you.

"Mountain Savior" by Gia Cobie is everything I love in a romantic suspense novel—high stakes, deep emotion, and characters that feel real. This fourth book in the Green Mountain Guardians series hits the perfect balance between danger, tenderness, and healing. It can absolutely be read as a standalone, but returning readers will enjoy the familiar camaraderie and found-family warmth of the Guardians team.

Hazel moved to the small Vermont town to escape her past and start fresh, and for a while, she’s done just that. But when her brakes fail and she ends up trapped in a sinking car, her peaceful life shatters. Enter her rescuer—Alec, a former Green Beret and security expert whose protective instincts run as deep as his scars. Their connection is instant but layered with emotional complexity. Both are haunted, both reluctant to trust, and both in desperate need of redemption.

Gia Cobie does a beautiful job weaving together romantic tension, emotional healing, and suspense. The chemistry between Hazel and Alec is both tender and electric, and the scenes with the Guardian team add warmth and humor amid the danger. The pacing is excellent—just enough action to keep you glued to the pages, balanced with quiet, heartfelt moments that make you feel every ounce of their struggle and hope.

A moving, pulse-pounding story about second chances, courage, and love that saves in more ways than one. Alec and Hazel’s story is heartfelt, gripping, and deeply satisfying. Gia Cobie continues to shine as a standout voice in romantic suspense.

Alec and Hazel

This is the 4th book in the Green Mountain Guardians series. Alec and Hazel's story had me glued to the story from the first page. Alec and Hazel have known each other for years. What neither of them realizes is that they have been admiring each other from afar. They each had their reasons for remaining quiet about the attraction. Alec has a hard time trusting any woman because of a betrayal from his past. Hazel moved to Bliss to get away from a traumatic experience in her past. When Hazel starts experiencing scary, potentially life threatening things, Alec does what he has been wanting to do from the beginning...protect her. The Green Mountain Guardians get involved after a particularly scary event. They are determined to get to the bottom of things so Hazel can get back to living her life. While the investigation is underway, Alec and Hazel spend a lot of time together and feelings develop. When things escalate, will Alec and the team be able to save Hazel before it's too late? Hazel and Alec have a lot of obstacles standing between them and their HEA. Will their feelings for each other survive? Get this book and find out. Sorry, no spoilers.

Running from feeling’s never solves the problem. When Hazel’s car ends up in the river and Alec gets her out just in time, its the start of a sinister nightmare that will make you lose your mind. The case is worse than ever before and so many things come to light it just takes time to process.

Absolutely fabulous work and amazing story.

As usual this was an excellent book by Gia. Hazel left Boston to live in a small town and suddenly someone is trying to kill her. She has no idea who could be doing it but when one of the locals from the Green Mountain Investigators starts dating her he and his group start looking for a reason and who is behind it. They also start protecting her and frustrate the killers because they can’t get to her. A very good book with suspense, love story with hot sex, well written, good characters, very enjoyable read.

Another winner from Gia Cobie. I honestly don’t know how she does it, releasing banger after banger. Alec and Hazel getting teased at the end of the last book had me on tenterhooks waiting for Mountain Savior and it didn’t disappoint. Hazel is deeply kind and suitably traumatised from a past experience. Alec is a tech genius with a security system business, and a past betrayal that plays on his mind. From the second that Alec spoke to her in the first chapter, I was a goner (much like Alec was). He was so head over heels for her, I was kicking my feet and squealing 🥲 I thought the mystery part of this was so good. And there’s an introduction of a new character toward the end that I think would be a great addition to the Green Mountain Guardians. I can’t wait to see how it plays out.

Thank you Gia Cobie for the ARC. This review is honest and voluntary.

Gia Cobie's books are my go to - there's always hope

Let me try to explain my thoughts.

Gia writes about difficult situations so many people find themselves in. This time she tackles online gaming, how people get sucked in & catfished.

In some ways that happened to Hazel & fortunately for her, Alec was there. I loved the lowborn of their relationship, Hazel's hopefulness and how protective Alec becomes.

In my opinion this is a feel good book.

I was fortunate to receive an arc copy and am voluntarily posting my review.

Alec has been in the background for years, connecting with Hazel now and again. When danger comes to her, he is all over it, trying to find where it's coming from. He knows she's strong enough, but he can provide added security. The storyline is great, the twists even better.

Alec and Hazel are completely adorable together. Gia once again gives us a hero who treasures his woman and shifts into full alpha-protector mode the moment danger closes in. Their connection is soft, sweet, and quietly powerful. Their relationship doesn’t explode with fireworks—it grows slowly and steadily, like a warm, comforting blanket you never want to let go of.

The team camaraderie, deepening bonds, and strong friendships add richness to every moment. With danger that spikes the tension, romance that heats the pages, and sweet surprises that spark joy, this story delivers warmth and excitement in perfect balance.

Hazel moved to Bliss 3 years ago, looking for an escape, which is exactly what she found, in the Green Mountains of Vermont. She is still reeling from the memories of what sent her there, while working at the local microbrewery, Blissful Brews. Her bosses, Frank & his wife, Wendy, are great. Since it is Stewfest, they are rather slammed in the few hours when people get out of work and drag their gives to the festival. We met Hazel in the previous book about Jess, and Tenebrie Veil, a game, much like World of Warcraft. They were in the same guild and Jess finally met Hazel at Jess & Kane’s wedding.

The best thing about this series is that we get to see previous people from the other series/books. Alec is gorgeous and Hazel has a bit of crush on him, but won’t do anything about it. He owns a security firm. Learning about Alec’s and Hazel’s past was interesting and it made me cry a bit. But, it was also heartwarming as well. Alec is also part of the Green Mountain Guardians (GMG). After Alec walks Hazel to her car, and it is not nice out, he follows a few minutes later because he lives out that way too. What he finds and what Hazel goes thru is terrifying, but it is when I truly fell for Alec, who is a true hero, much like the other retired military guys. All of them after getting out, decided to use their knowledge to save and protect others, including those who can’t pay for it. We find out that there is more going on than we thought with Hazel.

The book is fun, funny, sweet, romantic, steamy, scary, heartbreaking, heartwarming and an emotional roller coaster ride of epic proportions. I loved it and I can’t wait to see what happens next. I’m going to have to make a family tree for all of them characters soon to keep all the kids right in my head. lol.

This is the first book that I have read from Gia Cobie. I have seen her books all over and have been dying to read one. I could not be happier that this is the one that I started with. If you want a book with suspense, mystery, thrilling twists and amazing slow burn between two amazing characters this is the book to grab.
Hazel suffered through a horrible relationship that ended in an even worst breakup. She moved to Bliss in the hopes she could find a sanctuary from the nightmare of a relationship that ended in tragedy and losing her best friend. But it seems that fate is not quite done with her yet.
A horrible car accident brings the one person she has a crush on more into her life. Alec saves her from dying in that accident and now will do whatever it takes to protect her.
You join them on the ride that is nothing short of freaking amazing. They both have crushes on each other but neither one is looking to get into a relationship. Alec has fears that will threaten to shatter the fragile hope they kindled. Hazel has a past that keeps her from letting go of the walls around her heart. She refuses to have feelings when all she fears is losing that person. But these two work hard to get past it all.
I absolutely loved this storyline and watching these two come together. The slow burn and buildup is amazing and so very well written.
Add in the friendships that you have with the Green Mountain Guardian man and woman and you have something that everyone wants. A family.
I absolutely gripped this book from the first chapter to the very end. It was page turning with moments you really don't see coming. Gia has a talent, and she shows it off in this book. She has gained a fan. I will definitely be reading more.

Mountain Savior is the fourth book in the Green Mountain Guardians series, and this is the story of Alec and Hazel, and it had me hooked form the very first page!
Hazel is a waitress at Blissful Brews, former Green Beret Alec owns a security company but also is a member of the Green Mountain Guardians and both have been admiring each other from afar, and neither feel ready for a relationship so they are building solid friendship.

Hazel moved to Bliss after her ex was reluctant to let their relationship end and his impulsive harassment led to murder.
But starting with a lucky escape from a car accident where Alec does what he can do save her, more and more strange attacks happen to and around Hazel. Alec is compelled to act and for both this becomes the catalyst for them to act on their burgeoning feelings.

I loved reading the developing relationship between Hazel and Alec and when he seeks help from his GMG and Brotherhood Protector friends, we get to visit some characters from previous books. Which is always a delight.

As I have come to expect from there are Machiavellian twists an unexpected villain which somehow always take me unawares!
Yet again a real page turner in a series that get better and better with each book. Making Ga Cobie a must-read author of mine!

If you love a protective Alpha with a soft heart who will do anything for his lover, ths series is one you won’t regret reading. I loved it!

Hazel and Alec’s story is the fourth in the Green Mountain Guardians Series. Hazel has been living in the quiet town of Bliss for three years and is finally feeling like she’s a part of something. She loves the small town feel and everyone knowing everyone else. She’s tried hard to put her past behind her, but it still lingers. Alec is former military and owns a company that installs and markets security systems as well as being a part of the Green Mountain Guardians. They’ve noticed each other, but haven’t taken the steps to advance it further until Hazel’s life is in danger.

This story not only has all the protective alpha vibes, but also the spice to back it up. Alec is everything a girl could want and more. Hazel isn’t your typical damsel in distress. She has so much love in her heart and cares deeply about those around her. She thinks of herself last. Nothing is more satisfying than reading about Hazel and Alec’s relationship blooming. This definitely is a slow burn romance, but there’s nothing boring about it. It’s a sweet build up that is definitely worth the wait! There’s nail biting action and suspense to keep you on your toes. Strong friend groups round out the small town family feelings and are a testament to the author really knowing how to paint a picture with words. *I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Hazel Winston is enjoying her time in small town Bliss, Vermont. She had moved there after a tragic event and is enjoying the quiet, the solitude. She enjoys her job as a waitress and her evenings communicating with others who are involved in the online game, Tenebris Veil. She is attracted to former Green Beret Alec Emerson, but doesn’t believe that he would ever be interested in someone like her. After an event that could have ended her life, she has no idea why someone would be targeting her. Alec finds himself thinking more about Hazel, especially after he was able to save her from a certain death. He vows to protect her, at the Green Mountain Guardian compound, as they realize that she could also be putting others in danger. She agrees to stay at the compound as he and his friends, former Special Ops veterans, try to find out who is after her and why. There is a possible break in the case when she explains her reason for moving to Bliss; could her past have something to do with the threats? Providing her a place where she feels safe, they finally enjoy exploring the attraction between them. A thrilling romantic suspense until the very end! I love the way the author features, and gives an update, on former characters. I received an advance review copy at no cost and without obligation for an honest review. (paytonpuppy)

Mountain Saviour is the third book in Gia Cobie’s new fantastic Green Mountain Guardians series. It is a slow burn, military romantic suspense story filled with fantastic characters and great chemistry. It was written in first person, from the point of view of both the hero, retired Green Beret and security expert Alex and the heroine, waitress Hazel.

For three years, Alex and Hazel have crossed paths. Both drawn to the other, but neither feeling like they deserve to be happy because of issues and events related to their pasts. But when danger suddenly surrounds Hazel, Alex, with the help of the Green Mountain Guardians will stop at nothing to keep her safe. Bur will it be enough? Read it and find out.

I loved the connection that was evident between Hazel and Alex. Their interactions were open and honest and although the path to their happily ever after was long, it was definitely meant to be. This was an amazing addition to this amazing series! All the books in the Green Mountain Guardian series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone. However, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the overall series storyline. I can’t wait to read story the next story in this series.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoy reading Gia Cobie's series the men are so protective and the women are strong in their own way. This book is no different and I was flipping the pages wanting to know what was going to happen next.

Hazel came to Bliss for a fresh start after living through a tragedy. She has made a home for herself, feels safe, has a job and friends. With everything she has been through she is not ready for a relationship, but there is an attraction to a customer Alec. However, she has firmly placed him in the friend zone.

When things start happening to Hazel that puts her life in danger Alec does what he does best by putting measures into place to protect Hazel. Which puts her right where he wants her closer to him. The Green Mountain Guardians team brings in assistance from other characters from Gia’s series. I love when series do cross overs and we get a glimpse of them.

This is heart pounding story that is packed with suspense. I wanted to know why everything was happening to Hazel and who was behind it. Watching Alec and Hazels relations go from friends only to something more was heartfelt. I love reading Gia’s stories and cannot wait for the next one.

Gia Cobie has done it again! Mountain Saviour is Book Four in the Green Mountain Guardian series (from the Brotherhood Protectors world) and the magic that is Gia Cobie's romantic suspense continues in this book. Alec and Hazel have known each other for quite some time but just as friends. Alec thinks that's all he wants, all he's built for. While serving in the military, he faced the ultimate betrayal, causing him to fear putting his trust in anyone. That leads him to decide that a relationship where he'd have to put his trust in a romantic partner is simply not for him. Yet there's something about Hazel and her light and goodness that makes him question his determination not to have a relationship. After saving Hazel from a car accident, the two become close and ultimately a romantic relationship blossoms. The way these two love each other was beautiful to read. But danger from Hazel's past is looming threatening to take her from him. Gia Cobie's trademark action and page turning suspense makes this book hard to put down. That coupled with the beautiful way she writes the romance between the couple makes me love this book so much. I absolutely recommend this book, you won't be disappointed.

The fourth book in this series, wonderful characters and storyline that held me riveted
Alec and Hazel have me totally riveted from the start to the finish of the book, the character Hazel is a waitress at Blissful Bres, Alec is a former green beret that now owns a security company and is also a member of the Green Mountain Guardians both have been watching the other with a guarded interest, their friendship is growing and they are building on this.
Hazel moved to Bliss after her ex was reluctant to let their relationship end and harassment led to murder. Starting with a lucky escape from an accident Alec does all that he can to save her, more attacks happen and the catalyst for them to act on their growing feelings.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading every moment of this book and highly recommend this title to other readers, the Brotherhood protector friends are wonderfully supportive and show how well a team like this can work together.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Hazel or Haze as she is called later in the book, is a beautiful lady who tends to keep to herself. By design, not choice, but she has shown some interest in a certain guy named Alec who has also shown interest in her. She has some bad experiences to the point where Alec brings her to Green Mountain Guardians for help. They take her case pro bono and begin to put some pieces together. Alec, being a special forces guy whose goal in life is to protect those who can’t protect themselves for various reasons, steps up to be her protector. Ok so it’s not the least burden since he falls for her more and more each time, he sees her, touches her and ultimately kisses her.

As with all the guys of Green Mt guardians, he falls for her and very hard as usual. I loved the book as you never knew what bad weas coming and when, but you knew it was on its way as the chapters flew by. Highly recommend any of Gia’s books they are a weekend read with fast paced action and lots of loving going on.

Another nail biter from Gia! I can't imagine how terrifying it would be to be put in the situation that Hazel was, yet she did everything right. Not sure I would have done the same, I'd have completely panicked. I absolutely loved that Gia incorporated the Blade & Arrow crew into this story and for a real treat, I got to catch up with a Brotherhood Protector too!! Not telling which one, lol. It always feels like I'm catching up with old friends. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I believe my favorite part was Hazel's birthday party. I would have loved to have been there to party with everyone. Lot's of heat between Hazel and Alec. There was also a crazy surprise in this story. Not sure how I feel about this one. Hopefully we will hear more about him in a future book. Great story! Lots of intrigue, action and suspense. I couldn't help but think that Hazel got more than her share of trauma! Highly recommend!

Ugh. I had high hopes for this book, only to end up disappointed. It’s not bad bad —just boring. I genuinely don’t understand the timeline. After three years? They were acquaintances for ages, and then BAM—suddenly they’re in love and planning their entire future together.

Alex has lived in this small town for five years, while Hazel has been there for three. By the end, Alex claims he’s been in love with Hazel since their first meeting, yet throughout the book he frequently mentions going to another town to “scratch the itch.” That contradiction really took me out of the story.

I could have understood it if the book focused on a slow, organic build-up of their relationship. But that’s not what happened. They both clearly had crushes on each other for years and did absolutely nothing about it. Then, out of nowhere, everything escalates all at once. Like I said, the romance feels rushed and unearned, not natural or organic at all.

This is a great 4th installment to the Green Mountain Guardians series. You can read this as a standalone or as a part of the series (although it is always better to get the full effect when you read them all).

Gia never disappoints with the suspense and the romantic tension. Some of the scenes really had me on the edge of my seat! I really liked that I thought I knew how the storyline would go but then she threw in a curve ball with the gamer side of things. I really appreciated the creativity in putting together this plot and that it also brought attention to some real issues going on in the world.

I liked the main characters and I felt like it was easy to connect with them. I love the team support aspect of these stories in the series and the support she got from everyone she worked beside. Another good one by Gia Cobie!

Mountain Savior is the 4th book in the Green Mountains Guardian series. I loved this book.

Hazel has been living in Bliss for 3 years now after a failed breakup killed her friend and she needed to relocate. She has been enjoying her life but still the past haunts her, and when she mysteriously lands her car over a cliff into the freezing water below when her brake lines get cut, she’s pretty sure the past has finally caught up.

Thankfully Alec wasn’t far behind her and dove in and pulled her from her car to safety. Fuming as to why someone would want to hurt the gorgeous and mesmerizing Hazel, Alec becomes the overprotective “friend” who is low key in love with Hazel.

As the story goes on and they learn about each other’s pasts, the chosen family show out and love on Hazel which might actually be my favorite parts. I love a girl gang!!

Every book in the Green Mountain Guardians (GMG) series is fantastic, and this one is no exception. Alec is a member of the GMG and is a security specialist and former Green Beret. Hazel moved to the area three years prior to escape terrible memories and to try to find a new life. When “accidents” and threats are being made on Hazel’s life, Alec steps in to be her protector. The GMG team get involved as the dangers escalate to discover who is behind the attacks and why.

It's a gripping story and the GMG team and their mates are present throughout the story. It almost makes it feel like visiting with old friends. I can’t wait for the next book in the series and to see who is next in the romance department! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Hazel and Alec know each other from the bar she works in, he visits with his friends, he was let down by a friend and now is very wary of trusting someone. Hazel moved to the area a few years ago after a very bad experience where she lived.
Alec has been trying to get up the courage to ask her for a date but he hasn't yet! Then one night on her way home there's an accident and Alec is able to help her, but that seems to be the start of a series of awful things happening. Alec persuades her to move over to the Green Mountain Guardians cabin where she can be properly protected.
Hazel is beginning to have feelings for him and he's reciprocating them, but is very careful not too move too fast.
Can they find who is behind all the events? What a twist in the tale!

Another great read from Gia.

Mountain Savior by Gia Cobie

Hazel has had some awful experiences in the past and moved to Bliss as an escape. Here she has found peace and friends. She has been friends with Alex for the past three years and is recently been wishing she could open herself up for more. But she afraid she doesn’t deserve more after her past.
Alex knows he loves being single that love isn’t for him. But if it were Hazel would be perfect.
After a long day working at a benefit Alex walks her to her car. They stand talking for a while before he sends her home. She lives out the same way as him, so when he comes to a newly broken guard rail his mind thinks the worst. As he checks it out he see his worst fear. Her car is sinking in the lake. But this turns out to be just the beginning of things to come. Can he keep her safe? Why all of a sudden is so sure he has to?

Hazel moved to Bliss three years ago. Bliss is a quiet little town in Vermont and that is exactly what Hazel needed when she decided to make the move. Hazel definitely needed the change after her stalk ex did the unthinkable to her roommate one night.

Hazel has met and known of Alec since she moved to Bliss, but never had much to do with him. She was quite content just keeping to herself. One night while driving home, Hazel is unable to use her brakes and Alec is there to help save her.

Alec used to be a Green Beret and now works with the Green Mountain Guardians. He wants to make sure that everything and everyone is always okay and safe. More importantly, since he met Hazel, he wants to make sure she is safe.

Once he rescues Hazel after her breaks don’t work he is determined to make things work between them. He wants to know everything about Hazel and always be there with her.

I love Gia’s books and Mountain Savior was no different. If you like a good romantic suspense this series is for you!
