He came to Texas to outrun his past. What he found was a war he couldn't walk away from.
In the rugged aftermath of heartbreak, Nash Walker, a hardened moonshiner from the hills of Tennessee, rides west with nothing left to lose. Texas offers a chance at redemption—or ruin. From bounty hunter to reluctant Texas Ranger, Nash is soon swept into the bloody Sutton-Taylor feud, one of the deadliest range wars in frontier history.
When an enchanting singer named Victoria pleads for help protecting her family's land from a ruthless neighbor and his gang of hired guns, Nash can't turn his back. With bullets flying and loyalties tested, he’ll need the grit of a frontiersman, the law of a Ranger, and the backing of cattle baron Charles Goodnight to survive.
Will Nash find peace on the Texas frontier, or will this new fight cost him everything he has left?
Read Nash Feud on the Frontier now and ride into the heart of the Old West—where every feud is personal, and every choice could be your last.
Patrick Lindsay came to Texas by way of Missouri, Canada, and California and has been proud to call the Lone Star State his home for more than forty years now. He retired in 2017 from “another life” as a CPA, whereafter he turned his hand to writing.
He has read just about everything by Louis L’Amour and first decided to give Western writing a try on his initial day of retirement. He has been writing ever since and loves the idea that so many people get enjoyment from his work.
Patrick and his wife Michelle live on a cattle ranch near Fort Worth along with cows, horses, chickens, and a very spoiled Great Pyrenees dog. He is an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals in baseball and the Kansas City Chiefs in football.
Nash Walker is my first from Patrick Lindsay. Walker's a Tennessee moonshiner back from the war. Seems a nice enough sort, but the war's cost and his life making shine are leading him in other directions. Lindsay spins a western tale from humble beginnings to trails of challenges in Texas. A cast of characters that will give you pause to smile or keep a careful eye on keep driving Nash in new directions.
I now face two challenges myself. One is having to wait until December to catch up with Walker. The second came along by reading the author's background. When his avid love for the Chiefs and Cardinals came up, I nearly stopped giving a review. Chiefs? Okay, Montana and Young did well with them. However, the Cardinals? As the Air Force knows, I may live in San Antonio, but my blood type is Dodgers blue! You know this book is good, I'm leaving this review and looking forward to baseball season (and December).
Possibly the best western I have read all year. Nash Walker was a Tennessee hillbilly. He fought in the war where he lost both his brother and father. Now it is time to head west, where he meets Levi on the trail. They head to the next town and Nash quickly becomes a hero saving a young cowboy from losing his shirt in a crooked card game. Those two won't be cheating anyone else. He and Levi head to Austin for some quick bounty hunting and it really was quick as Nash walks into the bank as it is being robbed. On a poster for a stage show, is Victoria. Between helping to catch some rustlers and helping to save Victoria's family ranch, there is more than enough action.
The best western I've read in two years. Can't wait till December. The journey from Tennessee to the heart of Texas and to the Texas Rangers is spell binding. Enjoy.
The author has written a story of the adventures of a young man as he transitions from military life to making a living in the West. A great tale of trying to decide what kind of life you want and how to get it.
Westerns are a favorite of mine and I would recommend it to anyone loving heros with guns. The scenery is so vivid and I I live there it kept me engaged when I'm in my other home.
Again a very well written and edited book. Great story and a pleasure to read. All the right things, adventure, some shoot um up and a pretty girl. What more could one ask for. Rock on!
I enjoyed this book. Well written, good characters, decent story. I have read better, and I have read worse. This is worth reading and would recommend it.
I love western, be it a book, a rodeo, a movie or even tack on a good horse, and this book came in high in my opinion! Great storyline and plenty of action!
This series really takes a dive.1st book was pretty good, second book at 70% I'm throwing in the towel. Story just hung, lots of unnecessary words going in circles.
