From the very first page, this book pulled me in. The prologue immediately caught my attention.
Neel masterfully builds suspense. Just when everything seems to click into place, he delivers a jaw-dropping plot twist that left me genuinely shocked. I had multiple “WTF” moments throughout the story, complete with audible gasps.
The romantic and spicy elements are intense and immediate; this is definitely not a slow burn. The blend of spice, mystery, and horror creates a gripping experience. The ending in particular left me stunned, sitting in silence, processing what I’d just read.
I also loved the subtle nod to the Broken Toys series—a clever touch that made me smile and ache a little at the same time.
Overall, this book is unpredictable, fast-paced, and deliciously twisted. Neel continues to surprise me with each new release, and I can’t wait to see what he has in store next.

Received this book as an ARC, I can’t even explain how my brain is feeling after reading this, it was an absolute rollercoaster!
I have to admit it was a slow start but went from 0-100! Once I got into it, I couldn’t put it down!
Safe to say I don’t think I’ll recover from this mind crash any time soon!

I absolutely adored this book. It was so beautifully written, it had me hooked! I honestly was not expecting what happened towards the end so I was thoroughly shocked and also a little upset. I'd thoroughly recommend this book! It is also 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️

What a ride that was. The buildup and taunting through rumours to get him out was fun (and frightening) to see. Something that I liked a lot was the atmosphere covering the town, both cozy and spooky.
And the twist, of course I didn't see it 🥲 but I appreciate it, it's another bit that made it enjoyable.
As for the spice... my, were those delicious, with a few surprises I haven't read much of before this book. One thing for sure is that this girl knows what she wants.
I'd speak about my favorite part but that would be saying too much 🤫

This was a fast paced book with a fantastic story line. It wasn't what I was expecting in the slightest, it was better! I need more of this story, there is so much unfinished business and I need more of Eve. Lot's and lot's of spooky smut but with a plot! The writing style was perfect, so detailed and easy to follow. I loved the multiple POVs, this made me love the characters even more. I can't say any more without giving it away but if you love spooky season, with murder mysteries this is a must read! What a hell of a book!
