To spare her son from getting hurt, she must cut ties.

When an online stalker’s threats escalate to violence, Julia is forced to rely on Alex for help. Will the danger push them to reevaluate their priorities? And though neither is looking for love, will it find them anyway?

Funny how happiness finds you when you least expect it even if it does take a while to recognize it. All it took is one inquisitive, zealous and rambunctious four year old to finally put Alex MacDonald on the path to love. This romance was charming with just the right amount of suspense but the emphasis is on family. Julia Knight needs a stable male influnce for her son Calvin. How better to find one, than in the guise of a date, to interview each candidate for the job? Let's just say her plan is a failure on all fronts. The man who ticks all the right boxes isn't interested in acquiring a new family though. Or is he? Julia definitely grabs his attention but it's Calvin who seals the deal with his Christmas gift wish list.

Love a firefighter romance

Another great book by Emily Matthews! It has everything needed to hook and pull the reader into the story right off the bat and keep us turning the pages. Rooting for the hero and heroine to realize he meets all the criteria for an HEA. Throw in a little suspense and voila...an awesome read.

Smooth read

This was a very pleasant read. character development was logical, there was a little mystery and just a hint of impending danger without being over whelming and distracting from the main story line. I was able to read the entire story while remaining calm and hopeful at the same time.

Sweet tale

Really enjoyed this story of love. He did not believe in love through a previous love who betrayed him, but his girl lived a short distance from him and he had not met her. But when he did did not realise that he got jealous of the way she was looking a man to marry. She only thought of her son.

Really well written with great characters. Julie and Calvin have had a really bad year with a lot of heartache. The best thing that happened was when they meet Alex who without knowing it saves the day and alot more. Hope you enjoy this novel as much as I did.

LOVED THE BOOK. THE CHARACTERS OF THIS BOOK WAS GREAT. I LIKED ALEX, FOR CARING FOR A CHILD THAT WASN'T HIS. JULIA IS A GREAT MOM AND LOVING HER CHILD. I LIKED THAT THEY GOT STUFF STRAIGHTENED OUT AND BECAME A FAMILY. I WOULD RECOMMENED THIS BOOK.

4.5. Another fun fireman hero romance book. Quick, good characters, story with some drama, and happy ending. Al x the fireman meets woman who is his neighbor but she has a child. How they connect and the drama in between. Perfect read for vacation.
