Yin has always lived by her heart — literally. As an empath, she feels the world too deeply, channeling emotion into every dish she serves at Internal Flame, her restaurant built on hope, spice, and a touch of her soul. But when her gift begins to unravel, so does the balance she’s fought to maintain.
Her first pillar, Stephan — a charming tailor with a guarded heart and a voice like honey — once promised forever. Now his fear of sharing that love threatens to break them apart. Enter Quinn, her second a grounded, enigmatic Troll whose quiet strength and wry smile spark a connection Yin never expected, and can’t ignore.
Bound by magic, drawn by desire, the three must learn to trust not just their hearts but each other — before the empathic energy that connects them all dissolves.
Torn between passion and purpose, Unaccommodating Love is a lush contemporary fantasy romance about the risk of loving deeply, the beauty of chosen family, and the courage it takes to make room for every part of your heart.
The author, E.L. Roux, is very smart and creative. She writes romance in the science fiction genre and in the fantasy genre. Whatever you choose you can count on hot and steamy being one element of the story. I enjoyed book #1, Unrequited Love. In book #3 of this series, the talented heroine is an empath who uses her skills in her restaurant to guide her cooking for customers. She already has a devoted male lover she’s crazy about but needs a second man to keep all her powers intact. Not just an occasional third, but someone to become a full time triad! What a challenge for a beautiful, busy woman to juggle two men and a business. They all need to get along together in pairs too. Can you imagine! This book is fun and fast.
