Fast-paced, with some darker themes and a great balance between the romance, spice, and storyline!
I have to say, I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. We were thrown straight into the story and everything escalated pretty quickly. Considering it’s only around 200 pages, the author packed in a lot, even if it did feel a little rushed in places.
The romance was so cute! I genuinely thought we were going to get spice around the 20% mark, but I loved that instead we got stolen glances, lingering touches, and all that delicious tension first.
The almost kisses are exactly what I live for. There were so many moments where you could feel the anticipation building, only for the kiss not to happen, and honestly… I was both obsessed and frustrated in the best way. I absolutely eat that up in romances!
However I do feel as if it was missing something and there were a few things spoken about that were never cleared up which may have added to Cade’s backstory. I’m not a huge insta love girl either so even though I enjoyed this, overall, this was a ⭐⭐
