“Wonderfully fun and highly amusing, this book will go down perfectly with restless 6 – 8 year olds. Highly recommended!” The Wishing Shelf

REVIEW
I must say, I enjoyed every page of this imaginative children’s book from the pen of talented author, K. Frances Carson. Written predominantly for 6 – 8 year olds, it’s packed full of thrills, spills and a host of larger-than-life characters.
It’s the story of a dog who has a very ‘interesting’ little buddy: a flea called Fleabins who, to put it mildly, is very badly behaved in a very energetic sort of way. If he’s not toppling over bricks in the toy room, he’s skipping off the walls or putting on fancy dress for a BIG party – in fact, he’s so spirited, you never know what he’s going to get up to next. And to complicate matters, although he’s only a tiny flea, he can grow to the size of a small chimpanzee!
There’s so much to enjoy here, folks. Firstly, the writing style is truly energetic, matching the ‘feel’ of the story. Secondly, Fleabins is a very lovable characters – a bit crazy, yes, utterly wild – totally, but still loveable. And thirdly, the illustrator Shannon McKeon is very talented, her drawings adding much to the story.
So, all you grandparents and parents looking for a fun-filled, thrill-a-page book for a 6 – 8 year old, I’d highly recommend Sir DoGoody Button & Fleabins the Great . . . Flying Troublemaker. I suspect it will go down particularly well with reluctant boy readers who will find Fleabins’ antics a blast. There’s very much a Roald Dahl feel to this set of shorts in terms of the writing style, the energetic plots, and the delightful characters. And as Dahl sold over 300,000,000 books, you can’t get much better than that.
Enjoy!
