My little sister’s best friend just got dumped because of me … and now I can’t stop thinking about her.
I’m Dylan Williamston—pro hockey player, life of the party, and self-proclaimed playboy. Relationships? Not my thing. Pranks with my childhood rival? Always.
But one prank went awry, and now she’s single on Thanksgiving. Her heartbreak is my fault.
So, I try to make it right. Christmas tree hunting. Hot cocoa sipping. Window shopping.
And somewhere between the pine needles and the tinsel, I start seeing her in a new light.
With every smile, every spark of holiday magic, I’m realizing this isn’t just guilt… I’m falling for her.
She’s the only girl I’ve ever wanted for real. But what if all she sees is the player I’ve always been?
The Love FaceOff is a no-spice hockey romcom. It’s the fourth and final standalone story in Kristine W. Joy’s Glaciers Hockey Series.
Kristine W. Joy is an Amazon Bestselling Author who loves creating sweet and swoony stories full of sizzling chemistry and laugh-out-loud banter. She prefers her coffee iced and her kisses hot. When she's not dreaming up romance novels or writing from a cozy coffee shop in Northern California, she is spending time with her hubby and two young sons. Becoming a published author was a lifelong dream. Becoming a momma was the inspiration to make it a reality.
This is the fourth and final book in the Glaciers Hockey Series, and I’m so sad it’s come to an end because they’ve all been soooooo good. This was no exception.
This one features childhood friends Dylan and Cheyenne. They’ve known each other since Cheyenne was a teenager, she’s best friends with Dylan’s sister Genna. They have spent every Thanksgiving pranking each other. This year, the pranks get out of hand and Cheyenne’s boyfriend breaks up with her in front of Dylan’s whole family, humiliating her. So Dylan takes it upon himself to cheer her up as it was mainly his fault.
I loved the camaraderie between Dylan and Chey. They’re very close and comfortable around each other, something her ex didn’t understand or like very much. Dylan understands Chey and appreciates her humour and who she is. It was good watching them both start to see each other in a different light, to see a future with each other.
I loved the scene in the jewelers, it started off so hilarious but then developed into something deeper and more meaningful. The blow out afterwards was heartbreaking, neither of them knew how to deal with it properly and it caused so much sadness. I’m glad it worked out in the end though.
I’ve really loved this series and it was nice to see all the previous couples happy and settled with families. I can’t wait to see what the author is working on next.
✨ a few of my favorite things: - the cozy vibes for Thanksgiving and Christmas - Prank wars - The jewelry store - The elevator scene - New Year’s Eve - The epilogues and their HEA
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book 4 of the Glaciers hockey series - this one is so sweet and is filled with holiday moments (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years). The MCs have a playful relationship that allows they to feel safe around each other. They are able to drop their walls around each other and just be themselves. Both MCs have some learning to do because of self-destructive habits or past toxic relationships tainting their functioning.
The hockey team rallies around Dylan and it’s fun seeing the past characters again. I also loved the side love story we get. This one is just full of friends and fun. This book is so wholesome and light hearted. It’s an easy read to fill your heart with cozy vibes and Christmas cheer.
This is a closed door romcom with no cursing, and descriptive kissing.
**Thank you so much to Kristine for letting me read this gifted ARC. No positive review was required. All thoughts are my own.**

Synopsis: Dylan An NHL Glaciers’ player who always had pretty supermodels on each arm there is a reason that he doesn’t want a serious relationship because of what happened in his previous serious relationship. He is overprotective of his sister and her best friend.
Chey Dylan’s sister’s best friend who has a boyfriend who oftens control in what she wears or how to carry herself and making her feel small.
They knew each other for the longest time and love to prank each other which made her boyfriend felt that their behaviour is childish. Things get interesting when her boyfriend broke up with her, feelings that they didn’t know is lurking between them. Will they able to realise their feelings? Read The Love Faceoff to find out.
Review: Love these two so much. They are at times like teenagers when it comes to knowing their feelings. Love that they are vulnerable to each other and also encourage each other to be the be themselves and be their better self too. He is always there for her and also tried to cheer her up because he loves to see her smile and doesn’t want to see her sad. Both him and his sister Genna doesn’t like her boyfriend one bit because of how he controls her and make her small and she deserved a better man who loves her for who she is. And also love seeing her grow in her character and of course with a help of her best friend and also him.
I’m glad that his teammates and also his sister make him realised his feelings for her. And lolz the pranks that they did to each other is classic hehe… and also him trying to win her love too is so sweet and romantic. And them faking being engaged it is just so sweet. I can’t spoil too much you will have to read it to find out. This book made me smile, laugh, swoon, and couldn’t help but grin at times because they are just so adorable together. Love his sister and her boyfriend who is his teammate they are also kind of the scene stealers which I wish that Kristine will write their story too.
I was gifted complimentary ARC. All opinions are my own. Thanks @kristinewjoy for the ARC.
This 4th book of the Glaciers’ Hockey Series. If you haven’t read the 1st, 2nd and 3rd book you should. 1st book is Cam and Nila’s story, 2nd book is Blaze and Addy’s story, and 3rd book is Kade and Ella’s story.
Can’t wait for the next story.
You can purchase this story from Amazon and it is available on KU.
Before I begin, I would like to thank Kristine W. Joy for allowing me to read a copy of her upcoming book, The Love Faceoff, which is part of the Glaciers Hockey series and will be available on Amazon on November 5th, 2025.
Professional hockey player Dylan Williamston has a relationship as a playboy and person who loves to party. Committed relationships aren’t his thing, but he loves pranking his sister’s childhood best friend in their pranking competition. However, one prank went too far, and now she is single and heartbroken on Thanksgiving. In an attempt to set things right, he takes Cheyenne Christmas tree hunting, gives her hot chocolate, and goes window shopping with her. Soon he starts noticing how beautiful she is, and every smile she shows him makes him fall even deeper in love before he realizes it. Will Cheyenne ever see him as more than the best friend’s brother / hockey player that never gives romantic relationships a chance?
This book was fantastic. You have Cheyenne, a hardworking, sassy, clever, kind, and beautiful young woman that loves spending time with her loved ones and longs for someone to choose her consistently for once. You have Dylan, a charismatic, loyal, funny, considerate, and handsome young professional hockey player that loves pranks, spending time with his family and friends, and doesn’t let anyone get too close to his heart due to a horrible ex in his past. The interactions between the main characters were sweet, funny, and thoughtful. Garrett was such a butt. Paul and Genna were cute, as well as Jhett. It was wonderful seeing familiar faces from the previous books in the series. I wanted to give Cheyenne a hug multiple times, especially her desire to be a priority for someone and not feel obligated to shrink herself into someone she wasn’t. The hockey team’s love advice was amazing. Overall, if you like hockey, cute dogs, pranks, complex characters, and sweet best friend’s brother / holiday hockey romance with low spice, then I would highly recommend this book.
This book swept me away into the land of the Glaciers hockey team and all of their wonderful family. This was a journey of self-discovery for two people who were meant for each other, but life has always gotten in the way. Their friendship was unique.
Dylan plays hockey for the Glaciers. He is charismatic and is known as a ladies man. He is often photographed with arm candy. Though he is known as a consummate bachelor, he is genuinely good in every way. He does not take advantage of the ladies. He is just not interested in a relationship. He got burned once, and he is determined to never be burned again. Fear has paralyzed him to the possibility of having a healthy relationship with someone he loves.
Cheyenne is Dylan's sister's best friend. Dylan and Cheyenne have known each other for years. They have prank wars on Thanksgiving with each one trying to outdo the other. (These pranks were priceless.)
Cheyenne has been dating Garrett for more than four years. These two do not match. He is a narcissistic snob who does not deserve a wonderful woman like Cheyenne. When he gets in the middle of their prank at Thanksgiving, things do not go well. What a tool!
Now Cheyenne is single and crying her eyes out. That sparkle that is Cheyenne has been dimmed. Dylan is determined to make her laugh again.
This was a roller coaster ride of emotions for both characters. Both characters were exceptionally good people. Cheyenne is tender-hearted and always looking out for everyone except herself. Dylan would never intentionally hurt anyone, but his words do not often match his feelings. They can't be catching feelings for one another, or so they think.
There were so many funny scenes including their Thanksgiving pranks, Dylan in an elf costume and getting a massive tree through the doors, just to name a few. But the elevator scene was definitely the star on top of the tree. I swooned, smiled and celebrated.
Thank you to the author for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Dylan Williamston has always known Cheyanne (Chey) Blackwell as his little sister Genna’s best friend. She has always just been around the outskirts of their family, with her big personality, loud laugh, and the way she can take and also pull off the perfect prank. Yeah, you heard that right. She and Dylan have a long-standing prank war that is well known in their family. So everyone knows to be prepared on Thanksgiving, for anything to happen. This Thanksgiving would be no exception, even though she is dating the intolerable Garrett.
That's right no one cares for him, but especially Dylan. He can’t pinpoint one thing because it is everything. From his pretentious attitude, the way he puts down Chey all the time, and he only ever talks about himself and what he’s doing, and never about what Chey is doing at her job. He dictates her every move, action, and reaction when they are all together. That is until this year's Thanksgiving dinner at Gianna and Dylan’s parents' home. That was his final straw, calling her out in front of everyone he embarrassed her and left her there making her cry.
Dylan, as only Dylan can, made her laugh and saved the day. Telling her she won this year's prank off and Garrett deserved to wear the remnants of it. After this, Dylan can’t seem to get Chey out of his head. This confirmed bachelor becomes obsessed with thoughts of Chey, and he doesn't like it. Yet, when his sister called three days, after Chey’s breakup, to ask for his help with getting a real Christmas tree for Chey he said yes. She told him, Garrett always told Chey real trees were messy, wasteful, and smelled too much, Dylan said, send me the address.
Dylan met them at the tree farm. And you don’t want to miss what happened when he got there. It will endear you to him forever, and you will have found another book boyfriend. This Hockey player will go to any lengths for those he loves.
“What if she doesn’t feel the same way I do?” The question comes out more vulnerable than I’ve allowed myself to be in front of my teammates. Maybe ever. “What if she does?” Kade counters. “Sometimes you gotta risk a little pain for something real.”
This quote totally sums up the beauty of Kristine W. Joy’s latest addition to her Glaciers Hockey series. The Love Faceoff is funny and swoony but also so full of real growth and hope. I loved how Joy balanced the things you would expect from a romcom with so much character growth. It was so well done.
The story focuses on Dylan, a pro-hockey player, who had sworn off serious relationships after a bad heartbreak years ago. When his little sister’s friend Cheyenne is dumped on Thanksgiving Day, he and his sister make it their job to cheer her up. He has always thought of Cheyenne as a friend, but as Dylan spends more and more time with Cheyenne, he starts to question his feelings for her and her feelings for him. The story that follows is so good.
Things to love: -hockey romance -little sister’s best friend -he cheers her up -slow burn -supportive friends and family -Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years vibes -character growth -elevator kiss
I enjoyed every minute of reading this sweet book. Dylan and Cheyenne’s relationship was so good from the start. I loved seeing them both fall and experience the insecurities of liking someone and not knowing if they liked you back. It was well done and lasted the perfect amount of time.
From the chemistry to the banter to the slow burn to the kisses, this book was a delight to read. The ending was so good and so worth the wait.
The Love Faceoff is the fourth book in the series, but it can be read as a standalone. The whole series is fabulous and belongs on your TBR.
Thank you to the author for the gifted copy. All opinions expressed are my own.
So this is book 4 of the Glaciers hockey series. This book just recently came out and I was excited to read it right away since I've enjoyed all of the others. I read it just a tad bit early since it takes place during the holidays season. It is a best friend 's brother/ lil sister's best friend/ childhood friends to love story.
Dylan and Cheyenne have known each other for a long time since she's been his sister Genna's best friend since they were kids. They also always got along well and she spent a lot of holidays with their family, and she often went with Genna to his hockey games. When Cheyenne's boyfriend breaks up with her in front of the family on Thanksgiving, Dylan realizes she deserves better and starts to see her in a different light but he is too afraid to admit how he feels since he's always preferred to keep things casual with the ladies. After spending time with Dylan without Genna, Cheyenne also realizes she starts to have feelings for him but thinks he just sees her as his lil sister's best friend/ his friend and will never consider a serious relationship with her though he starts to give her very mixed signals by buying her meaningful gifts yet continuing to say they are just friends. Thankfully with some help and persuasion from some of the other characters who had already gotten their HEA endings in the previous books, Dylan and Cheyenne do eventually get theirs too.
I've enjoyed all of these books so I'm sad that it is supposed to be the last one of the series and hopefully maybe the author will come back to it one day because they're all really good and I have liked each of the stories and characters from each book.
Can I be so sad that this is the end of this sweet hockey series? But can I also be a little thrilled at a best friend's brother romance? The dichotomy set the tone for all the feelings about this lovely finale of the Glaciers.
This story is so fun and hilarious as Dylan and Cheyenne embark on some friendly prank wars. They've known each other forever, and their friendship is a natural outpouring of that comfort. When a prank goes too far, however, Chey finds herself embarrassingly and publicly dumped, but sweet Dylan decides to do his best to cheer her up.
This is a slow burn as these two navigate emerging feelings, but there are some goodies sprinkled in to keep us satisfied with the pacing (hello elevator and a little fake dating). Dylan needs to grow up a bit throughout the story, but he is 1) always caring, 2) surprisingly vulnerable, 3) a closet romantic, 4) an encourager. The Glacier teammates showing their support was a fun capstone to the series that lets the reader celebrate all we've experienced with this team. Cheyenne seems to need Dylan to remind her that she deserves good things AND a good guy, and she does plenty of growing up of her own too.
There is a reason that I really adore friends to more romance stories. It always feels like the characters have to put in the work because the risk is high, but the reward could be higher. The relationship that exists and grows between Dylan and Chey is the sweetest and I really loved their story!
I received a copy of the story for consideration. All thoughts are my own.
The Love Faceoff: A Sweet Hockey Romance is a loveable, swoon-worthy, hilarious, feel-good, adorable, energetic, and beyond amazing story! This is the fourth book in the Glaciers Hockey Series which can all be read as standalones and I'm OBSESSED!! I love a good holiday read but a little sister's best friend, reformed player, and childhood frienemies to lovers holiday romance?.....Burst my heart now! This book has the best banter and so many fun pranks! I fell in love with these characters. Their childhood history makes everything so sweet and intimate. I love seeing their development and how tender they are with each other. They truly want the best for each other and care deeply for each other not just romantically but as friends.
Dylan is such a fun character! He truly is the life of the party like he proclaims but we also get to see his tender, thoughtful, and cautious side which I adored! He is such a heartthrob! I love the lengths he goes to after he destroys Cheyenne's relationship on accident....I mean it's pretty clear how deeply he cares for her even when he can't admit it to himself. Cheyenne is such a beautiful playful soul who deserves far better than the toxic relationship she was in. Seeing her confidence grow throughout the book is something I adored! This is truly a MUST READ holiday romance with pleanty of humor, sweet moments, Christmas spirit, and character growth!
This is another great story written by an amazing author. Kristine’s writing never disappoints. I really loved the chemistry between Dylan and Cheyenne. They have known each other since heir teenage years. Cheyenne is Dylan’s sister, Genna’s best friend. They always play pranks on each other at Thanksgiving. They have spent the holidays together since she was a teenager and her mom was always working trying to support them. Cheyenne has been dating Garret on and off for a few years but truth be told he’s an absolute jerk. He finds all the pranks and fun she has with Genna and her family extremely childish. During thanksgiving dinner and one of their famous pranks, Garret loses it calling it childish and storms out breaking up with her yet again. Dylan is very protective of his sister and of Cheyenne and will do anything to cheer her up. They start spending some time together and the hockey playboy starts realizing that perhaps what he’s feeling when he’s around Cheyenne is more than “brotherly” protectiveness. The feelings are very much real. I really loved the whole best friend’s brother trope and this one was extremely wholesome. I rate it 5 stars. Also love the Christmas vibes in his book. This will definitely be a book I will recommend to my pre-teen daughter to read since it’s closed door romance.
***I received this arc in exchange for an honest review****
Changing for Love - In all the years Dylan and Cheyenne were growing up, their relationship had always been platonic because she was his sisters best friend, but he couldn’t understand why he really couldn’t get along with her boyfriend. However, Dylan was always there to support her when she needed him, especially when their ongoing pranking battle escalated and led to her breakup.
Dylan took it upon himself to try to cheer Cheyenne up, which meant spending more time together, which led to their attraction for each other growing. Unfortunately, Dylan made an utterance during a family gathering, that caused Cheyenne suffering and led to her distancing herself from him. Nevertheless, Dylan got the opportunity to clear up the misunderstanding and confess his true feelings at a later date, when he was stranded with Cheyenne.
Luckily, Dylan and Cheyenne got to have the happy future that they both deserved, with all their family and friends around them. This was an entertaining, but deeply moving romance story, with fantastic characters who highlighted the fact that the path to true love doesn’t ran smooth. I suggest you carve out a few hours where there would be no interruptions, as the moment you start reading this book, you won’t be able to stop until you finish it.
I received an advanced review copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This was such a perfect and heartfelt conclusion to the Glaciers Hockey series, and I am genuinely sad to see it wrap up. Dylan and Cheyenne’s story is full of warmth, laughter, and holiday charm. Their long-running Thanksgiving prank tradition had me smiling from the start, and watching those playful sparks turn into something real was so satisfying. Cheyenne’s strength and growth made me love her even more, and Dylan discovering his feelings for the girl he has known for years was both sweet and emotional. The hockey team’s advice, the family moments, and the adorable pets all added to the magic. I appreciated that this is a closed-door, kisses-only romance that still delivers incredible chemistry. You can read it as a standalone, but fans of the series will especially enjoy the familiar faces and the way everyone comes together. Best friend’s brother, holiday vibes, hockey life, and a wholesome slow burn make this a story I will happily recommend, especially to younger readers too. The friendships, the surprises, and the love on and off the ice remind us that joy is something built over a lifetime. A fantastic ending to a wonderful series.
I’ve read all four books in this series and been an ARC reader for the last three! So I’m sad to see this series end but I’m so happy to have been a part of it!
Cheyenne and Dylan’s story is the perfect conclusion to the Glaciers Hockey series.
I absolutely adored Cheyenne and Dylan. Their easy camaraderie, fun personalities, and off the charts chemistry made for a great read.
There were so many great moments throughout this book. The top notch Thanksgiving pranks, the hockey game where Dylan can’t help but find Cheyenne in the crowd, his teammates telling him women aren’t mind readers (thank you!), the stairwell piggy back ride, and everything in between.
Perhaps my favorite part was seeing Cheyenne come into her own, stand up for herself, choose herself, and figure out that she is enough (and not too much) just as she is. Watching Dylan fall was a close second. The connection between these two is so easy and the little things like the zings they feel when their arms brush is almost better than holding hands or kissing!
I loved the supporting cast of this book. Genna is a perfect best friend to Cheyenne and Dylan’s teammates are fantastic, too.
This best friend’s brother, holiday, hockey romance is the 4th and final book in the Glaciers Hockey romance series. It is full of fantastic banter, swoony kisses, and the sweetest happily ever after.
This best friends older brother trope was done perfectly mixed with all the best parts of the holiday season. The chemistry, the friendship, and the pranks. Dylan and Cheyenne just needed the right timing and some nudges from their friends.
Favorite parts: -thanksgiving pranks- hilarious -Christmas tree shopping and decorating-Dylan doing what he could to brighten Cheyennes mood -The Thanksgiving pranks -The waitress interaction -Christmas lights evening -the group picture -the Christmas presents— perfection. Definitely melted. -elevator kiss -Dylan’s character growth— part of that got the Swan Princess reference of “you should write a book “how to offend a woman in five syllables or less”. Bahaha. -Cheyenne discovering herself again.
Favorite quotes: “Math was never my strong suit.” I shrug, grinning at her. “That’s why I hit things for a living.”
But as Cheyenne steps back to admire our work, her face glowing in the Christmas lights, I catch myself wondering what it might be like to be part of moments like this more often. The thought both surprises and unsettles me. “What do you think?” she asks, looking at me. “Beautiful,” I say, not entirely sure if I’m talking about the tree.
“She’s something special, isn’t she?” I don’t even bother pretending I don’t know who she means. “Yeah,” I agree quietly. “She is.”
“I choose you,” he whispers, just for me. “I’ve always chosen you.”
“Sometimes you gotta risk a little pain for something real.”
I always wanted an older brother and my younger self wanted him to exist for just this reason–so my best friend could fall for him. Dylan and Cheyenne have the best relationship and I love how this story spans the Thanksgiving to New Years holidays, showcasing their prank wars and ending this series with the perfect story.
Dylan is ultra confident, the utmost flirt, and the ultimate protector–a hockey player with no intention of a relationship. Cheyenne has a long-time boyfriend that no one, including her found family, is a fan of. These two have such a bewildering and endearing connection that I just couldn’t get enough of. The laughs, swoon, and holiday events are everything I wanted to kick off the season.
With vulnerable moments, hilarious antics, all the hockey, and even an elevator kiss to die for, this sweet story delivers a charming slow-burn romance that feels real and enchanting.
Content: mild romance

Book 4 from the Glaciers Hockey series, and I’m sad it’s come to an end. I absolutely adored this group of friends. Dylan, the perpetual playboy pro hockey player has just discovered that he’s in love with his younger sisters best friend, whom he’s know since he was 15! Chey and Dylan have been pranking each other for years, but to her, he’s always been off limits and to much of a player for her. Dylan has the best set of teammates to guild him through his feelings, he’s not afraid to soil the team with them, but when it comes to Chey, he freezes, because ice is his natural habitat. A kisses only slow burn, where Dylan eventually plucks up the courage to speak up, but the wait is worth it - These two are heart eye emojis!
I voluntarily reviewed a free advance copy of this book provided by the author. The opinions expressed are my own
What a great ending to the Glaciers Hockey Series! The ultimate playboy, Dylan, gets his own story when he comes to the rescue of his younger sister's best friend Cheyenne after she gets dumped at his family's Thanksgiving dinner by her on and off boyfriend Garrett. What follows is his realization of how much he cares for Cheyenne but how scared he is to ruin their friendship if it all goes wrong. As cocky as he is on the rink, he is incredibly scared to own up to his feelings and to see if she cares for him in the same manner. Cheyenne, for her part, is trying to find herself and recognize that she deserves to be with someone that chooses her, once and for all. While this is part of a series, you do not have to have read the earlier books, although you really should! 5 Stars is not enough for this series...
I loved this sister’s best friend, childhood crush, found family, friends to more romcom. Dylan and Cheyenne have known each other since they were kids. She’s his little sister’s best friend and they have spent years playing pranks on each other and their banter is so much fun. Dylan can’t stand her boy friend and is partly responsible when they break up for good. As Dylan tries to make Cheyenne smile, they spend more time together and start seeing each other in a new light. I couldn’t put this book down and stayed up way too late to finish it! If you like sweet hockey romcom with plenty of swoon worthy kisses and heat but no spice, this is the book for you. Side note - if you haven’t read the first books in this series, I would recommend doing so. The books can be stand alone but are much better read in order.
3.5 stars Fun hockey series by an author that writes sweet and swoony ,contemporary romances
4th in the series. Can be read as a standalone but I do recommend reading the series in order. I really enjoyed this series. The author writes interesting and fun characters. This is the story of hockey player Dylan Williamson & Cheyenne Blackwell, best friend to Dylan's sister. There is lots of laughter and joy written into this story, which is a trademark of this author and always makes for a pleasurable read. I'm sorry this is the last book in the series, however , I can't wait for this author's next series. I'm sure it will be just as good!
- Dual POV - Best friend’s brother - Childhood friends - Prank wars - Slow burn romance - Friends to lovers -Hockey romance -Holiday romance -Clean, closed door
What’s not to like when you have the two main characters (who’ve known each other forever) realize there’s a lot more to their friendship?! The way Cheyenne and Dylan prank each other is quite entertaining, they just seem to “fit” as friends and eventually as something more. Both come to realize there is so much more to life than how they’ve been living. It was heartwarming to see how they grew as individual and then as a couple. Dual POV books are my favorite because you get tho know the thoughts of each character, it’s quite insightful. LOVED this new installment of the Glaciers Hockey players finding love off the ice. I received an advanced reader copy and am leaving this review voluntarily.
The Love FaceOff is a fun, friends to more, hockey, romantic comedy. Dylan and Cheyenne are childhood friends who constantly prank each other. This Thanksgiving one results in Chey no longer having a boyfriend. (Good riddance, I say!) Dylan fells it is his fault and works to cheer up Chey. I loved watching this jockey star who shunned relationships figuring out that he loves Chey. I loved that Chey grew to realize she was perfect the way she was after years of being put down by her ex. The pranks are epic. I loved the thoughtful things Dylan does to cheer up Chey. Surprisingly Dylan's teammates give him some great advice. You will have to read this delightful, well written book to see how ms. Joy works everything out!
Another great story in this fun series. This story focuses on Dylan and Cheyenne. Cheyenne has been the best friend of Dylan‘s little sister for years. They have always tormented, teased and pranked each other from day one. Now that they’re all grown up and Cheyenne has a jerk of a boyfriend, Dylan is beginning to see her in a different light. This was a delightful and charming romcom. The banter was hilarious, and the romance painstakingly slow. Both were afraid that the other didn’t feel the same way. It takes place between Halloween and New Year’s and so there are some funny and sweet holiday scenes. It was also fun to have the other characters from the series being involved in their lives. You could read it as a standalone, but it is fun to read it as a series.
The Love Face Off (Glaicers Hockey #4) by Kristine W. Joy
Wow — another brilliant addition to Kristine W. Joy’s Glaicers Hockey series! I’ve been following Kristine’s work since her very first book, and she has never once been disappointed.
The Love Face Off is beautifully written, with wonderful characters that truly touch your heart. The story follows Glaicers player Dylan and Cheyenne, his sister’s best friend, in a romance full of emotion, chemistry, and all the heart-pulling moments you could hope for.
It’s a fantastic mix of heartfelt storytelling, great hockey energy, and genuine connection. I highly recommend this book — and the whole series — to anyone who loves a well-written sports romance!
SO good! And such a perfect read for that post-Thanksgiving lull before the festivities hit full blast.
Dylan and Cheyenne are two lovable, beautiful people, but they are both hiding some big insecurities that make them scared to go for what they really want. Their struggles felt real and messy and made the moment when they finally admitted their feelings so much more special.
This is a sweet, no spice, best friend’s brother romance with big feelings, pink sequins, holiday cheer (and depression), found family, supportive hockey teammates, a cute dog, and just a dash of yearning.
⚠️ Potential Spoiler P.S. That epilogue? A sweet gift from the author to wrap up the series. Thank you, Kristine Joy!
I loved the dynamics between Cheyenne and Dylan, who have been friends for years as she is best friend with Dylan’s sister and has always felt at home with their family more so than with her own absent mother. Dylan and Cheyenne always try to outprank one another at holiday get togethers much to her boyfriend’s annoyance. When she is left heartbroken at Thanksgiving, Dylan starts spending more time with her and despite his own heartbreak in the past comes to realise his feelings for Cheyenne are more than just friendship. This is a delightful sweet romance, with laughter, heartbreak and hope for new beginnings. And of course some ice hockey moments too.
This is a bittersweet story in the fictional world of Glaciers Hockey League. A wonderful conclusion to a series that has been an adventure of friendship and love both on and off the ice. The story of Dylan and Chey's growth and struggles is shared as they head towards their happily ever after. I loved the friendships, the struggles, the surprises, the discoveries, and emotions shared not only in this book, but in the entire series. This final episode leaves readers knowing that friendships, love, and families are not a moment of happiness, but a lifetime of joy.
I Am Enough I love this Glaciers Hockey series. As book 4, the feel good vibes and the heart strings being pulled are amazing. Dylan Williamston is the defenseman hockey playboy and Cheyenne Blackwell has the worst luck in men. A story about being enough and loving yourself. This story speaks to our hearts; that being true to oneself is more important than making oneself small or put into a metaphorical box. Getting to know each of these guys just makes me smile. For that, I love reading these stories. I received a complimentary copy from BookFunnel and voluntarily leave an honest review.
Wow! What a fantastic story, it had me giggling from the beginning, then swooning and a little tearful at the tender moments. Dylan and Chey are so adorable together, their banter was hilarious as were their Thanksgiving prank wars. They had been friends for 15 years and never had feelings, but when Chey’s long time jerk of a boyfriend dumped her, she had to figure out that she was worthy of love. This is a fantastic story; I loved everything about it. and am sad that this series is coming to an end. A story I highly recommend, hope you love it too.
