I like the concept of continuing Camelots story and the Knights of the Round Table through the children of King Arthur. But this book is not good... It's inconsistent throughout the story as if the book wasn't reviewed before being published. Repetitive descriptions. Transcription for kindle was bad (not the authors fault but worth a mention for other readers). Even a quick proof read would have caught some of these (like the battle strategy they were going to surprise the enemy with, that they mentioned more than once, then just did not use that strategy at all and no explanation).

Wanted a lot more from this book and it just fell short. I still finished it and found some small enjoyment from the story on a base level but it's not good. There's only a couple other reviews on Goodreads at the moment but I don't know where these 5 star reviews are coming from. Writing a fast paced book shouldn't come at the cost of sacrificing a consistent well thought out story line.

I don't normally write such much in a review but given how few there are, other readers should know. Can't decide between 1 and 2 stars so we'll settle at 2.

STUNNINGw. I could not put it down. The way magic is written in this book takes me back to the elegance and complexity in classic old-school fantasy--it's woven into the story in such a rich poetic way. But the story itself is so fresh, with such a satisfying take on characters from Arthurian legend and unique characters who never appeared in the old stories. I loved how prominent Morgana was in this book--I was so curious about her at the end of book one and I'm glad we got to see so much of her in the sequel. And that ENDING. There are so many references and nods to the legends but it all feels so incredibly new and refreshing. Absolutely brilliant.

Wow! It was worth the wait. I couldn't put it down and absolutely cannot wait for book 3! If you like King Arthur tales, this one's for you. A unique continuation of the stories that leaves me wanting more every time!
