Edited and Corrected Wade Garrison took his vengeance against the men who took the life of his unborn child and tried to kill his wife and son. When the last man was dead from Wade's Sharps Rifle, he took off his badge and rode out of Harper, Colorado a wanted man disappearing into the Montana Territory.
Richard J. Greene was born in Denver, Colorado, in 1939. As hard as life's realities can be, there's something that seems to happen when despite the fear of death the right decision is made!
The west was wild, often violent, and even harder at times to understand. The law gradually began to take shape, but wasn't always clear cut! Greed, lust for power and hate was! It just took time for truth to prevail. Here, in this action packed story, you won't want to put it down! That is why as you eagerly read on, you'll be pleasantly surprised, several times before the truth prevails! And, you'll want to look into the other excellent novels by Richard Greene. Having read all 100+ Louis L'Amour novels(3-4 x's each), and numerous others, fact and fiction by various writers, this one is excellent!!!
So far I have read three of the books in series and all three have been five stars from this amazing Author. This Western Series of four books have been the very best books that I have read. I read a hundred books a year and know an exceptional storyline when I read one. Each book in this Series keeps getting better and better. The main Characters in this book are absolutely amazing and can't stop reading far into the night. This book was filled with excitement and action on every page. Highly recommend this Series to all your readers. My favorite books so far in this amazing Western Series.
This story ended to soon. I enjoyed reading this story. It had a lot of action and really held my interest. Wade was a good man who thought he had done wrong when he corrected a lot wrong. I liked to read of tenderness when he saved life of the coyote pup and raised her to be an obedient good coyote dog. He did a good job of being a great sheriff and helping the people of Pickering. It took him awhile get over the death of Elizabeth Purdy but it wasn't his fault.
A "Not Put It Down" kind of novel and all of series (4) have been excellent
If was living in late 1800's. Having been a horse owner for over 40 years and belonging to the Santa Monica Mountains police and riding a 20,000 acre land near us I could relate to the bountiful horse talk and even the coyotes that often followed us. I was hooked on the first novel and sorry I am on the fourth and last one. I'm glad I was born in 1943 and not 1843. It was a rough life.
I really enjoyed this book! I was blessed to be owned by a male coyote, there was no way I can ever say I owned him, for several years after he was given to my grandfather along with a couple of horses from the Navajo reservation. The author did a beautiful job of describing the mannerisms of one of these wonderful critters! Great book!
I only gave book 2, God's Coffin, 3 Stars because it left you hanging. I do not like that it books. However I gave in an bought book-3 and do not regret it. This is a great continuation of book-2 and I suggest reading it first. You will not be disappointed.
This one is much better than some others, with believable plots and real action. I thoroughly enjoyed it. However, as talented as Richard Greene is, he ought to be able to afford a proof reader. Punctuation is atrocious!!!!
A continuation of a good story but there were so many misspelled words, typographical errors and punctuation errors that reading this book was more of a task than a pleasure.
I. Would recommend this book and any other novel from Richard Green to anyone who would love the experience of living with the people your reading about.
Wade went away to Montana to live and hide away after all of the killing. Wade became sheriff of the small town, got new friends and a courts pup. He still missed his wife and son but he could not go home. Finally he decided to go home and face his arrest.
Very good book. Great series. Even with a new name wade Garrisons can’t excape what he is. A sheriff but also a killer. But a man that brings justice with a deadly wrath.
