Myah

My life literally changed in the blink of an eye. I was happy, I was whole... and then my father died. Since then I haven't been the same. I've been battling inner demons as well as the ones on the outside--my mother the evilest of them all. It's time to take control of my life and Kyle Cooper makes me believe that I can.

Kyle

I've been half in love with Myah Wilks for as long as I can remember. She's short and sassy--or she was until tragedy struck. Changes in her life left an opening for me, the one I've been waiting for and I'm jumping--with both feet. This amazing girl has more fight in her pinky than most people do in their whole body... she just needs to be reminded. She also needs to purge those demons and let her secrets go. Maybe, just maybe, she'll let me in and trust me with her whispered truths.

AUTHOR: Anne Mercier
GENRE: Contemporary Romance
EXPECTED PUBLICATION: June 11th, 2015

This is the first time I will be reading anything from this author so I don't have any expectations, love the cover, love the synopsis so I really can't wait to get my teeth into this..

WHISPERED TRUTHS: Is about friendships, love, loss, is very YA (both characters are 17 years old) so all loving YA readers will jump on this and love it, full of drama angst, an evil bitch of a mother and a drool worthy 17 year old lol

From the very first page the author has you hooked, now she's reeled me in with how easy it is to follow the story line..

Lisa grabs my arm gently and angles her head down the hall. Hottie central.
I look down the hall and see a group of gorgeous maleness.
Damn
Right there are four tall, muscular, extremely attractive and sexy male specimens.
Wipe the drool, Myah.
Why? I'm proud of this drool. I'm gonna let it drip off my chin.
Gross.
Yep, Kyle Cooper is worth every drop of drool.

Lisa Renzi's been my best friend since the third grade. She's the only one who knows my secret. I have a crush on Kyle Cooper. He's hot, he's sexy, he's one of the sweetest guys I've ever met, I've known him all my life but he's always been untouchable.

Loved this authors writing style very easy to get into, can't wait to read the next book in this series, enjoyed the interaction between Myah and Kyle, LOVED her best mate Lisa..Definitely won't be the last I'll be reading from this author..

MYAH ~ Most of the time I'm inside my own head, Drinking helps me forget what an abusive asshole my mother has been since my dad died last summer, she's controlling doesn't respect me, and never listens to a single thing I say.

3.5 star rating – the age range for the characters in this book is high school, but the intimacy level is more of a New Adult read...

I think I was just a little old for this book, which is no fault of the author’s. That’s why I rated this book probably below its actual worth. The characters should have been college age because they were more mature. But, then I guess it would take away key elements of the story. Wow! I’ve really never been this torn as to how to rate a book. If your read it, you might understand what I’m talking about. It all depends on the person reading the book.

The two main characters have known each for like forever. But, neither wants to tell the other how they actually feel. When they finally decide to act on their feelings it’s cute and sweet and, oh so beautiful. There are some intimate times too, and they are sexy and innocent. You really can’t go wrong with this book. Like I said, it was just a little too young for me. I will, though, be reading the next book in the series when it’s released. Just have to see what it’s all about!!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This was a little outside the norm of my usual read, but I found myself surprisingly enjoying it. I think this would be considered more New Adult/Contemporary Romance, while I mostly veer towards the Erotica end of the spectrum. It was refreshing to read such such a sweet love story so full of young innocence.

Myah and Kyle have been close friends their whole lives. Each of them has longed to more than that with the other but neither has ever made their feelings known. Myah doesn't see herself as beautiful or popular enough to be caught in Kyle's radar. He's the school jock that all the girls swoon over, she doesn't think she would ever have a real chance with him. Kyle has always felt that Myah has held him at arm's length but he isn't sure why. He's afraid to push any kind of relationship with her because he doesn't want to lose her as his friend.

When Kyle finally decides he's had enough waiting around wanting something he can't have, he goes after it with no holds barred. I'm not sure Myah had much choice in the matter. No one could've resisted his charm, his cute protectiveness of her, or his even cuter jealous tendencies over anyone he thought might be stepping on what he considered his.

He admittedly had an overactive sex life before Myah and had never felt bad about it. But something about her makes him finally see his past for how disgusting it really was and makes him wish he could've protected her from having to know about it. Myah's a virgin, which is a really big deal to Kyle and he's so sweet about not pushing anything sexual on her. He truly cares about her and wants way more than a sexual experience with her.

Myah is going through some difficult family drama with her evil mother. She needs her friends to support and protect her, and Kyle is the first one to always step up and make sure he's there for her. She's surrounded by a group of lifelong friends that are more like a family to her. Seeing the way they all comforted and protected her when she needed it was touching. They all loved Myah and it was obvious in their actions.

Watching Kyle break down the walls Myah had built around herself was heartening. He's so patient in gaining her trust and makes it clear that he wants to be there for her for the long haul, as in forever. She is faced with several emotional challenges and he has her back for each and every one.

Their story is endearing and adorable, but there are sexy parts too. Their first time together was possibly the sweetest, best first time I've ever read. It was definitely 'making love', not just sex. When Kyle tells her it was his first time too because he'd never experienced anything that emotionally involved with anyone else I almost cried. He was so perfect in every aspect of their relationship.

There will be a book two in this series that focuses on two other members of this group of friends. I'm looking forward to reading their story!

I really tried. Their seemed to be a good enough plot, but its portrayal didn't work for me. The entire goody too shoes aspect was unrealistic. Compounded by a traumatic event, that has the main female character scared and skittish, yet when the hero enters, it's like no qualms about been touchy feely with him. Really! I didn't get that at all. Absolutely no reservations about intimacy. Unrealistic.

*ARC gifted by author in exchange for an honest review*

It's becoming a habit of mine that whenever a book written by Anne lands on my Kindle, I start smiling and grinning like a loon. Maybe even clap like a seal!

Whispered Truths is definitely different from The Rockstar Series The story is about Myah Wilks and Kyle Cooper who have known each other since they were in diapers.

They have loved each other secretly for a long time. And yes, when I say long I mean LONG TIME. Anne Mercier explains my statement best in a few lines.

"Boy meets girl. Girl meets boy. Instant attraction- for years... Attraction grows until it can no longer be denied and kabalm! Boy and girl come together."

I have to say, I enjoyed every single character in book. Well, obviously except a selected few, and I know there will be readers who will agree with me.

"Now you're talking. Threesome!!"

OR

"Patience, oh King of Flatulence."
(God! I laughed so hard at this section of the book!)

^ THIS!! is what I love the most about Anne's writing and how awesome are the people she creates. People I would absolutely not mind being friends with!!

It's true. Anne Mercier's books has the best people, the friends, the acquaintances, the EVERYTHING!!! I'm in love!

And before anybody says this.... KYLE COOPER IS MINE!!!! Back off ladies! Back off!

Kyle. Oh Kyle! *Sigh* I want a boyfriend like him. He is not like your typical book boyfriend. He is so sweet that you will get diabetes. Caring, loving, not bad to look at (at least from what I have pictured)

I just...
I just wanna cuddle with him and stay like that forever...

That's it. That's ALL I'm gonna talk about because if I go any further will start giving away everything!!

P.S. Anne you are becoming my go-to author for when I'm need of angst-free reads. Literally! It is a (I don't know the word) specialty maybe, that you write about a few heavy topics without making it angst-y or the moment when your stomach falls because what happened with the character(s) was bad. Kudos!

This was an enjoyable, sweet romance story. It was my first read by this author and I would read more of their work in the future.
Although I did like it, there was something about the book that made feel like I couldn't properly connect with the characters. I think it was the fact that the group of characters the book is focused on are very mature given that they are only seventeen. The situation they are in and how they deal with it all makes it seem, in my opinion, like they should be much older. I couldn't grasp the fact that they were supposed to be so young.

Ok...when i started this book I really liked it but with the progression of the story, i found myself doing a lot of eye rolling. My biggest issue with this book was that it was completely unbelievable and slightly over the top. I felt that had these kids, at the very least, been in college the story would have been more believable. Some of the dialogue was far too mature for 17 year old kids that it just came off as corny. And really....none of these kids parents give a shit that they moved in with their uber rich friend???? Doubtful! Also as much as i liked Myah i also found her completely dense and it a little bit of a tease. She played all sweet and innocent all the time and her character was to good to be true. It was really annoying. I hate that..."What, every guy in school loves me? OMG...I had no idea?" Yet she played on that when she admittedly flirted with everyone! Hugging, kissing, sitting on other guys laps. For real...now I'm just annoyed with you! That being said i struggled with finishing the book and skimmed a lot of the end because i was just so over it! Like i said...it probably wouldn't have been so corny if they were older, but because of their age it just didn't fit!

What a great read. The characters are incredible and easy to get to know.
I had fun reading this one and getting to know them as well as hanging out with them. There were times when I thought I was actually there in the house lol

These characters are all friends but get along as family and have each others backs. It's the kind of friends you want to hang with and want to be near. You can't help but smile as they rant and rave and snicker at each other like brother and sister.

Myah has one heck of a past and one heck of a nasty mama. Yet she is strong and vigilant and pushes through with the help of her friends.
Kyle is amazing and has had a crush on Myah for a long time.

The way these two play off each other is sweet, fun and challenging.

This is a great start to this series and you should grab this one fast. It's definitely worth the read :)

**JOSIE'S 4.5 STAR REVIEW**

This is the first time I have read a book from this author. I did not know what to expect but as soon as I got this book on my kindle I started it right away. It is kind of a mature YA read and it’s not my usual thing but I have to say it really had my hooked. Whispered truths is about true friendship, loss and a true love in the purest, innocent and loyal kind of loves. There is also some angst and drama in this book that make you cringe but it is really enjoyable.

What I loved most about this story is that the two main characters, Myah and Kyle, not only have been friends for a long time but they have also secretly loved each other.

After losing her father unexpectedly Myah has been depressed and living with a mother that is physically, emotionally and mentally abusive. She is no longer the same girl she once was. She is hiding a dark secret that has left her feeling insecure, scared and damaged. Myah has to find the strength to fight back and take matters into her own hands but to do this, she will need to have all her friends support and protection. These friends are the only family she has known really.

Even though Kyle is only 17 years old he is my new BBF. Myah has always seen Kyle with the prettiest girls in school, something that she believes she is not. Honestly she is way out of his league. He has never openly admitted his feelings for her but he cares very deeply for her. Having Myah in his life as a friend is something he can live with but to lose her entirely is something he can’t risk so that’s why he never made his move before. After seeing a vulnerable and terrified side of Myah all his fears go out the window and he goes in hard to pursue her. Kyle became all alpha male and protective of Myah and she had no choice or fight in the matter. Kyle is charming, possessive, and protective and does not let anyone get between them.

Even though Kyle is experienced, Myah’s innocence is something that he treasures and values. I really loved that about him. Kyle is determined to find out what is behind Myah’s sad and pained eyes. When Kyle learns the truth about Myah pasts he is angry, hurt and feels guilty that he was too wrapped up in his conquests that he never saw what was really going on right in front of him. Myah is in for a dangerous, violent and hateful fight but with the help of Kyle and her friends she gains the confidence and strength to see things through to the end.

Their story is engaging and delightful. The friendship between the groups is uplifting and promising. Yes we get first love and this is a mature YA read so we get some steamy real heart to soul love making. I really enjoyed this story and the direction the author took the story and the characters. It was natural, believable and downright captivating. I fell in love with Myah and Kyle because not only was their relationship sweet but the friendship and loyalty to each other only made their connection so much stronger. I grew to admire Myah. I loved watching her grow as a young, insecure and weak young girl into a strong, fierce and sexy young woman. The same goes with Kyle from boy whore to the most loving, romantic and caring boyfriend. This is the first book in this series and I can’t wait to see what the other books will bring us.

This is one of those books that proved 'young love can still be real love.'

It was a sweet, short and nice read. Wasn't life changing or anything new that had me like "wow" but it was still enjoyable!
Myah. The girl everybody loves because she's so nice and beautiful and innocent. That sort of annoyed me how she was practically perfect but oblivious to it. Like a girl knows when she's pretty. It's naivety to deny it and that annoys me. Own it. Don't be cocky but admit it and leave it at that because it is what it is. Her relationship with Kyle was interesting to say the least. They've practically been in love with each other forever but too scared to actually voice to it. So Kyle became a manwhore and f*cked everything without a care while Myah pretty much faked dated a guy to protect herself from him. Both to scared to take what they wanted.
But that sh*t was in the past.
Their romance was sweet. It was interesting to read about super rich people. I mean Myah is 17 and she built her own house which has a basketball court and an indoor pool and a dance studio and a room for each of her friends. WOW. Pretty awesome. I had to keep reminding myself that these kids were still in high school. They seemed more like college kids with everything they did but nope...17 year olds.
It looks like the other books are already set up. Their group of 4 boys 4 girls...and they'll all end up together. Kyle and Myah. Jackson and Emme (their story is next). Stewie and Sarah. Then Lucas and Lisa. All best friends but they'll all be together. Convenient and a bit of a fairy tale to be honest. Let's get real. That doesn't really happen.
But whatever.

~*~Arc received for an honest review~*~
I am always quite honored to receive a book from Anne to read. This book as with all her others are so well written, that I am sucked in from the first chapter. From the minute I started reading I didn't want to put it down. Frankly I devoured it. Whispered Truths has such well written characters that I found myself wanting to actually be their friend. I really enjoyed the storyline. It has so many great things going for it. I loved the bond that both Kyle and Myah had for one another. From an early age they had this pull or draw that they felt for one another. It was sweet. Kyle was so protective of Myah. I love a guy that is like that. And of course as they got older that sweet turned into steamy. Of course I enjoyed that. But what I really liked is just how they fit.
Some of my favorite quotes were.."Shit sticks"-I think that will be one of my favorite sayings for a while.

"I don't just love you, Kyle. I'm so deeply in love with you, every one of my cells pulses with it. My heart aches with the sweetest fullness I never imagined to feel with you. I tried to keep a piece of myself for just me, but it's all or nothing with you as far as my affections go. I gave you that last piece just now. So I love you, Kyle Cooper, with everything I am,"

"I'm sorry I waited so long to say this to you, but Myah Wilks, I love you so much I swear I can't breathe without you," he whispers as he starts moving inside me again. "You are my heart. You're my light. You're my everything. I will love you forever."

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

As I was reading this story, I found myself intrigue immensely by everything was going on. This book gives you the reality of how teenagers act nowadays but this book also provides a lot more than that. There's a whole storyline that takes you by surprise upon surprise when you least expect it.

The author's plot concept is excellent and leaves a lot for more to come which is very exciting. While I was reading it, it was almost as if you can't help but reflect on your own life and think about the what if's...
It makes you think, it makes you feel, it makes you read until the end!
- time is not our friend, go and get it!

I don't like to give the long version of a review bc I don't want to spoil anything for other readers so take my word for it and grab a copy and find yourself immersed for hours before coming up for air.

Thank You Again Author Anne Mercier for a wonderful read and completely different from your Rocker Series that I also love, this was a refreshing change in genre!

I received an ARC from the author herself.. After getting little snippets of it to read, I have waited with tingles of anticipation for this book!
I'm not going to go through a big load of blah blah reviewing with spoilers as I hate them. I will say if you love Anne's Rockstar series, well this isn't anything like it but just as good! They are like beer and wine, both alcoholic, completely different but give you the same effect! Whispered truths starts and pulls you in within the first chapter. You will want to kick Myahs mother in the crotch. Horrible woman and sadly we know they exist. Luckily Myah has good friends who have good parents. And then there's Kyle. We should all have a Kyle sometime in our life *sigh*!
The tingles were totally worth the wait. And the book was totally worth the read x

5 STAR MUST READ
Anne has done it again!! Whispered truths pulled me in from the beginning with characters who are very relatable and a story line that kept me on the edge of my seat. Myah has struggles and hardships but like and true heroine she stood up for herself and did the best she could to over come any and no all of her problems. Her friends at her side helping her get through her hard times and being more family to her than her own blood. The relationship Myah had with her friends and Kyle is something everyone should have and speaking of Kyle, the delicious guy who caught her eye. The story keeps you guessing and wondering, swooning and wanting more. I can't wait for what is next in the Truths series. Thank you anne for once again blowing me away with your books

Books such as this one are difficult to read, but well worth it. Parts of the book had me in tears, parts had me ready to jump for joy. Some characters you instantly fall in love with, others you want to punch many times throughout the book. It kept me captivated from befinning to end. I couldn't wait to finish the book to see what would happen. I am looking forward to the second book to how the story continues. I highly recommend the book.
The book holds a very powerful message. No kind of abuse is ok. Not mentional, emotional, physical or sexual. You can take control of your life. You may never forget what happened, but you can move forward with your life. It is something that happened to you, it is not something that defines you.

I did not enjoy this book.
What I did not like:
1) Unrealistic dialogue. The characters say things that not too many people IRL would actually say. The conversation where almost everyone is talking about Myah's walls was too much.
2) The "I've loved you forever, but couldn't have you, so I just manwhored it for a couple of years" is so lame...not to mention overdone.
3) Myah's character is so strange. She's shy and closed off, but suddenly Kyle makes her stronger? Seriously? Bleh.
4) Bianca is too over the top.
5) Unrealistic housing situation.

I started skimming at around 60%. I pat myself on the back for having made it so far. It was hard. I almost gave up and marked it as a DNF.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

My girl Anne Mercier has a new series. Woot woot! Whispered Truths started out very hot and heavy for me. I messaged Anne about 1/3 of the way into the book that I was completely smitten. It had a completely different feel than her Rockstar series and while I do love me some Jesse and the boys, I also really enjoyed the more emotional feel to Whispered Truths.
As the story continued, the emotional angle seemed to drift off and I felt like we amped back up into a more plot-driven, wild ride of a book.

Overall Rating: 4 stars- Kept telling myself “just one more chapter.”

Anne's writing reminds me a lot of Tijan's (Anne is a huge fan of Tijan, so that's not surprising) in that they tend to have a lot of characters, plots which require some suspended disbelief and a breakneck speed.
"Did Kyle Cooper just kiss me?"
Multiple voices answer with a definitive "Yes." Holy hell.

Those types of books are admittedly not my favorite. I'm more drawn to character-driven novels. I love people. I'm like that in real life, too. I want to know everyone's story and how it made them feel. And I will feel right along with them.
"I'm not even embarrassed that I came in my pants."

Also, I have trouble with names. It's awful and embarrassing, but it's true. I can tell you someone's complete romantic history and but struggle to remember their name. As Whispered Truths has a lot of characters, I struggled a bit there. (Anne actually has a "family tree" of sorts for her Rockstar series. God bless her.)
"You hurt her and I'm coming for you."

The thing is, even weeks after I've read the book (Look, I'm behind on reviews, I'm trying here!) the story still sticks with me. Our main character has a rough history and the way the story twists and turns and ends up left me turning pages as quickly as I could late into the night.
"Are you kidding me right now? I've kissed the most intimate spots on your body and you're too shy to take a shower with me?"

I think having started with some emotional stuff, I felt more invested in our characters, which lead me to enjoy even the more plot-driven second half of this story. For me, I'm giving it 4 stars, because I really did keep telling myself "just one more chapter." If you like wild-ride types of stories, Whispered Truths could easily be a 5 star read for you.
"Myah's my short stuff but she's Kyle's everything."

Smut Factor: 4 stars- Smokin’ Hot!
Character likability: 4 stars- I wish we were friends.
Storytelling: 4 stars- Totally bought it.
Writing and editing quality: 4 stars – Well Done!

I was just a tiny bit nervous when I read that Anne was starting a new book series, away from the awesome Rockstar Series of hers. But then I reminded myself that the author is Anne Mercier....so obviously the new series is going to be amazing!!!

With remembering that fact, I became anxious fairly quickly, wanting to dive head first into Whispered Truths. To be completely honest, I stayed away from the synopsis of the book. So when it was time to read it, I only allowed myself a couple teasers as a hint as to what the book was about. Anne is one author on a very short list of authors I one-click, without knowing/caring what the books are about.

Incredible! Superb! Extraordinary! These three words don't even compare to the astounding story that is Whispered Truths! Not just the story either...but the characters, the interactions and relationships they have with each other....I loved every minute of this book, and was enthralled from the first couple pages. Anne doesn't waste time with a meaningless, trivial, or overly described storyline. She has this amazing way of tossing you blindly into the character's world. But instead of darkness, Anne's writing is a bright, magnificent spotlight, letting you know and see everything! And the characters she creates are what brings the story to life. 5+ enchanting-stars!!!

The book introduces you to Myah Wilks. At first, you think she's your typical, average 17 year old. But let me tell you...wrong! Myah is a unique, independent, strong-willed, intelligent, and undoubtedly kind-hearted young woman, who has experienced adversities that no teenager should encounter. Then there's Kyle Cooper. Handsome, popular, smart, confident, outstanding athlete, the high school heartthrob...and the young man whom Myah is secretly in love with. This story isn't what you might think. It's not "star-crossed lovers", nor "hot jock falls for loner girl". But purely a book about love, loss, betrayal, lies, cruelty, abuse, loyalty, anguish, and pure happiness. The relationship the two main characters have is refreshing, with each other and also with supporting characters. Individually, they have their own distinct personalities, separating them from your typical high school clique. Each character and plot/storyline benefits from the next. Simply a remarkably written, well thought-out, and imaginative story. If you're looking for spoilers, you won't find any in this review. I express how I feel and what I think about the story and set of characters within the book.

I completely and utterly fell in LOVE with this new series that Anne has introduced to her readers! As a huge fan of hers, I cannot wait for the next book. And if you're a newbie, I highly recommend Whispered Truths, along with The Rockstar Series...start with Falling Down! Come on.....sexy, bad boy rockers? Yes, please! You will not be disappointed!!!

Whenever I see a book from Anne I'm literally screaming: MOVE! Anne released new book! And I'm not exaggerating. From the first book she captured my attention and I am fan till I die. LOL.

This story is...wow...just wow. It's different than The Rockstar Series, but equally good.

In here we meet Myah Wilks and Kyle Cooper, who were in loved with each other for a long, long time. Most likely from the moment they met, but were way to young to act on their feelings.

As the years progressed, there was always something happening that kept them from each other. They were friends, played, partied together but there was always that distance.

But one day Kyle says: enough. He wants Myah, he needs her and he plans to take her. To keep her. But by doing that he didn't know that with Myah and her love, a craziness also follows. And a truth that can destroy his girl. But being sweet and kind, fights for her and makes sure she is feeling loved.

The story is amazingly well developed and paced perfectly. All characters are just amazing. Even those bad ones. They are not there just because there has to be someone bad. There is an actual reason why they are such people.

The good guys are amazing. Friends for life. Everyone has their own story to be told. Simply perfect.

Myah is sassy and entertaining character. Even though her last few years where full of tragedy and pain, she is an amazingly kind and warm person. She likes to give and doesn't expect anything in return.

Kyle *swoon*, he is so hot. And I plan to keep him *smirk*. He is the perfect boyfriend. Perfect for snuggles and kisses.... *sigh*. Simply love him..

I enjoyed this book so much, that I didn't go to bed until I have finished. It didn't matter that I had work next day and had to drink 3 coffees and a energy drink to stay awake. It was all so worth it!!

5 AMAZING STARS <3

4 Stars for Anne Mercier

Anne has done it again. She made me laugh, she made me angry, but most of all she made me feel.

Meet Myah who recently lost her father and has since then been suffering at the hands of her own mother. She's built up walls to keep out everyone & everything. To top it all off she's been in love with Kyle for as long as she can remember but yet, she's scared to open up to him.

Kyle has loved Myah his whole life and he's determined to finally stop wasting time. I LOVE Kyle. He's the perfect example of what a boyfriend should be like - sweet, caring, protective and hot as hell. When Myah & Kyle finally admit their feelings, their relationship hits full force. I felt their love on every single page of this book. But with everything in life they have to overcome hardship to come out stronger in the end.

The side characters were well developed and I can't wait to read their stories. Their friendship is unlike any other and I'd love to be part of this group. "The best family is the one you choose." This statement is so entirely true for this group of friends. I loved this book and will be impatiently waiting for the continuation of this series. Also, I want a room in that house, because badass.

Anne ... You have done it again; got me so hooked on a story that I had to read it twice before I posted my review.

The story flowed perfectly and as always was written very well. I loved all the characters especially Myah and Kyle. This book had everything and more. My heart ached for Myah and what she had gone through but she has an amazing group of friends who are more her family than anything else.

Seeing the love between Myah and Kyle was amazing because he was there for her through so much and no matter how much she pushed him away he was still there trying to bulldoze those walls around her.

The book had tragedy, a bit of suspense, lots of laughs and plenty love..And Has some really heated moments as well ;) ...

I can't really say anything more without giving the story away and I want you to experience it the way I did and get hooked on it the way I did.

Anne is an exceptional writer and I abslutely love the way she writes, she knows how to pull you in and keep you there right till the end. There are no lows in any of her books... Well Done Anne!! Another brilliant book <3 <3 <3 Wish I could give it more than 5 stars

I wanna room....
A great start to a new series of books ...I love these guys ..they are loyal and take care of each other and are always there for one another.

"It'll be great. It's just family."

Myah is an outgoing student that everyone loves..however she has a few enemies and she's also been through some bad times lately ..with the help of her friends she's making it through ..
Kyle is a popular guy who she's crushed on for awhile now and truth be told he's had one on her too...although neither know ..everyone else seems to though...

"We fit." That's it. Just that simple. We fit. Can it really be this easy?

This was a cute start to this series ...getting to know this lively group ..Great story and characters and I can't wait to read more about the rest of this gang!

I really enjoyed this one. This is a new to me Author and I was in no way disappointed with this book!

At first I was a little caught off guard with the age of the characters and actually did a double take to check the genre of the book however I have to say the age didn't take away from the book at all and I had next to no issues with them being in high school.

This book was an awesome mixture of sweet, sexy and intrigue and was done in a great pace that leaves you unable to put the book down. I absolutely fell head over heals in love with Kyle and could not get enough of him. Myla was amazing to read and left you feeling almost empowered with her words and experiences.

I'm happy to say that I am now off to hunt down more of this Author's work!

This lady is so amazing. Every book she has put out I have read so far and she just keeps getting better.I don't know how she gets better, it's truly mind blowing. I think after each one, man that's was the best, but she squashes that with every new book release. (yes, I did just fan girl all over the place)

I knew by the synopsis this was going to be interesting and different from the Rockstar serise, but I was not expecting what I just read. I never thought I would really like a book about some teenagers but man was I wrong. This is for a more mature YA in my opinion. It was amazing, plain and simple.

I love a book that contains a long bond shared between the characters. Kyle Cooper has a strong love for Myah Wilks from an early age. Myah has gone through some struggles, but maintains her outward personality.

As the years progress, so does Kyle’s love for Myah. He is so protective of her, despite her independent tendencies.

Even though this is my first Anne Mercier novel, I loved reading how well developed her characters are. The cast of supporting characters is just as developed. Whispering Truths has a very believable story line, and I cannot wait to read more from this author. If you are looking for a great NA book with hot scenes, this is definitely one for you!

What a great start to a new series by Anne Mercier. I love the Rockstar Series and her writing that I wanted to give the new series a try.

It's definitely got a younger vibe to it but not the sex scenes....

I loved how Coop eventually got through all the walls Myah had in place and loved that they didn't hide it. I'm looking forward to seeing what all is going to happen in the next book and in the series.

I did like this book but I had to keep reminding myself that these characters were only 17. It is a wonderfully written story but if maybe it was written so everyone was a bit older (at least 20) it would have been a 5 star book for me. I realize a lot of things in the story would have to be changed for them to be older but the whole thing would have made more sense to me.

I have read everything Anne has written and will continue to do so!!
