An extremely intense and shocking revenge story.
A taxi ride home that turns into a nightmare.
Consequences and torture that will leave you reeling.
An ending that will spook you...🦊😳

My advise is to go into this one totally blind...just let it feed on you and then spit you out!!

The cover of this book is amazing... and speaks volumes...before you even start to read it.

Oh my Jesus. Go into this blind! I’m leaving the blurb out of this review for this purpose.

Written in second person so I felt like it was literally me having these experiences. It was personal, brutal and fast paced. As a short novella I thoroughly enjoyed the fresh new experience of a second person write. Standard storyline for a horror but the impact of a second person read is extraordinary. Loved the speed of the story. Would have loved some more character development but can’t have it all! Imagery was impressive. Feel I felt this more as it was in second person. This does have a happy ending but it’s definitely justified!

As soon as I saw that this book was written in second-person POV, I knew it was going to be a rough ride, and I was right.
Going from a harrowing and suffocating feeling (during the SA scene) to being hit with the PTSD (during the immediate aftermath) to experiencing a brief elation then a sudden disconnect (throughout the revenge scene) and then slowly achieving a sense of healing–all of these in 60 pages–is very, very disconcerting.
Jerry Blaze pulled it off seamlessly.

After a brutal non-consensual sexual assault on her person, a French career woman takes advantage of the invitation extended to her to get revenge on her attacker. Told in cold, straightforward, clean prose and addressing the reader in the second person, Jerry Blaze's tribute to New French Extreme Horror cinema pulls no punches, diving directly into the woman's trauma in order to present her choice in the starkest possible manner: no longer afraid to stand in the shadows, she refuses to be forgotten, and takes the opportunity to retaliate violently, though without ever actually raising a hand. But the ending handles trauma in a still deeper way, showing that revenge is just one step in the process of recovery; memory has also a say in this, and the mind won't be left unsatisfied. A story highly recommended!

L’Agression by Jerry Blaze
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Damn!! Intense and jaw dropping short French extreme horror story! There’s brutality, gore and traumatic scenes!

When a French woman hails a cab to take her home one evening, she encounters a horrible surprise that will leave her changed forever.
How will she deal with her life going forward? Is revenge the answer to moving on?

For being a short book, I felt like this was a very complete story! Loved the ending!

Jerry Blaze has a way with these extreme stories that make my jaw drop and eyes bug out! And I try to gobble up as many of his books as I can!

CATCH…CONFESS

*This book comes out November 3rd and I definitely recommend reading this!!*

A revenge/extreme horror that takes place in France. The twist is that it's written in the the second person point of view. Before reading, check your triggers because this is a brutal one. A French woman is assaulted and wants justice. However, the justice she'll get is more than she bargained for. For a short read, Jerry does a great job with the imagery, which is quite dark for a woman who has to go through such an experience as this.

Written in second person view gives the reader a rare perspective as Jerry doesn't hold back on the gruesome details. Even the revenge plot is pretty hard to read, but I always love a good revenge story. Hidden under all the extreme horror is a tough reality that women are still treated poorly, even today.

This was a great extreme horror read, but again, check your triggers.

This puts you, the reader, in the shoes of a French Woman, desperately wanting to get home to relax, after a grueling work trip, and being physically, and mentally destroyed, along the way. As you navigate your own traumas, and begin the healing process, you, also, want to take back the power that was taken from you during the heinous, and violent acts that were perpetrated upon you by a vile, and disgusting monster, who has done this numerous times, before. What will you do to seek, and have your revenge? How far will you go to make them hurt, as much, if not more that they had hurt you? Can you be whole, again? Ever at peace? I first read this story in the anthology, "Dead Men Don't Rape". This was intense, for a major reason. It puts you in the MC's body. As you read this, you almost feel personally violated, and vengeful, yourself. I would definitely mind your triggers before reading this, as it would hit very close to home for anyone who has survived sexually violent, and vile acts. Reader discretion strongly advised. That being said, I absolutely loved this! It was very stylish, and written very, very well. The revenge portion of the book is absolutely amazing, descriptive, and so deliciously gory! I don't know how it is possible for Jerry to just age like a fine wine with his stories! Every new one I read from him just outshines the last, and I love it! I highly recommend this story, if you can stomach it, it is definitely worth your time!

this story follows a woman who is sexually assaulted in a cab on the way home from a business trip. while in the hospital she meets someone who basically asks her 'if you could get revenge, would you?" I don't wanna give away too many details but this was an amazing revenge story! I love French extreme horror movies and this really delivered the goods!!!!

Something about her vagina being described as her “sacred place” irked me to no end. However, I do enjoy when bad men get what they deserve.

The more books I read by Jerry, the more I like them! I find his writing easy to follow and get sucked into. That makes my ADHD brain so happy.

This is a shorter story but does not lack in any substance! This take on revenge (in terms of when a woman is raped and survives and revenge is sought) is one of my favorites that I have read so far. I find it oddly hard to be enjoyable as it can be so repetitive in the extreme horror and splatterpunk genre. But Jerry takes it things in a new direction, different from other stories and I loved that. It is highly satisfying, and I enjoyed reading this book in one session.

If you're looking for something brutal and satisfying pick this one up on November 3rd. Thank you Jerry for the ARC in exchange for an honest review. Keep them coming!

Mr. Blaze is a master storyteller. He has this ability to transport the reader into a world of his own and this book, L'agression, is no different. I absolutely loved it. It is full 0f horror, hack and slash gore, and everything you could want out of a horror novel. The sweet revenge in the end is completely worth the read in and of itself! Absolutely phenomenal. I will be reading this one again!
