“If you love something, let it go. If it comes back to you, it’s yours forever...” Liam Maxwell took that advice when he watched Taleah Morgan walk out of his life four years ago. He had to give her space to “go and grow,” but now, her time is up. Liam is determined to win back his first love, at all costs. Taleah is just as determined to resist him. She’s never forgotten—nor forgiven—what she believes was his betrayal. Can Liam get past the walls she’s built around herself to show her that he’s always had her best interests at heart? Tumultuous doesn’t even begin to describe the first few years of Kelsey Morgan’s and Kyriq Childress’s relationship. But things have been going smoothly the last two years for the couple—too smoothly. Life throws a plot twist at them that threatens to end their engagement and tear them apart forever. Is the love between Kelsey and Chill enough to survive unexpected circumstances? Love troubles are not the only problems that befall Liam and Chill. During their climb to the top of the drug underworld, they made some dangerous enemies. Now, at least one of those enemies has come back to destroy everything they’ve worked for. Can they discover the identity of the person wreaking havoc on their business before it’s too late?
That's me, in short. I've been writing since elementary school and won my first prize in seventh grade. I am a romantic at heart and love a happy ending! Join me on this writing (and reading) journey--you won't be disappointed!
I feel like enjoyed this one even more now that they’re aged up 4 years, I wished Liam and Chill had to grovel a bit more. For Chill and Kelsey, I was very irritated with him at times because I feel like he wasn’t giving her the space to process everything that was happening and acting like that wasn’t a huge life event Shanita was getting on my last nerve but I’m so happy everything worked out.
Taleah could be so naive and I’m like girl you don’t have no discernment? She never got any creepy vibes off Christian!? Sophia really took things too damn far especially because I personally don’t feel like Liam was giving her mixed signals she knew what it was from the beginning. And well….in the end it was what it was. Rather people realize it or not Liam did sacrifice a lot in the name of love, he may not have went about it the right way all the time but I could see the big picture. Imma miss these crazy cousins.
This book was an Excellent Read. I loved the storyline and the characters. If you like a good exciting love story you will definitely enjoy this series. You will find drama and suspense and thugs and erotic scenes. Liam and Taleah are a beautiful couple who face drama and so do Chill and Kelsey. I dare you to read the books to see the drama each couple faces. It will most definitely peak your interest.
Between Liam and Taleah and Chill and Kelsey I was all caught up wondering what was going to happen with these couples. It gave me a younger Demon’s Dream vibe in the way these men were all about their women and nothing or no one was going to get in the way of them having their women.
MUCH BETTER. Omg a lot more entertaining to read. I would give it a 3.5 but you know… this app doesn’t believe in 0.5s. Anyway I’m glad everyone got their happy ending. I just wished Kelsey and Taleah didn’t give in so easily whenever Chill/Liam upset them. Also Kelsey and Chill’s storyline really picked up for me in this book too.
A good conclusion to this series it picks up after Tahleah graduates college. And comes back home to visit. Liam waited patiently but vows to get his woman back and dammit did he mean that. Kelsey and Chill are still rocking and rolling. The level of drama was good kept my attention. The ending was good but did feel rushed.
Another #ellekayson read! Her books are always A+ for me. The characters started off young in book one (17 and 19 years old) so I wasn't sure if I was going to rock with it. But it surprised me! Book 2 aged them by 4 years so I didn't feel as though I was reading about teens once I got into the meat of the story. Another great read by Elle Kayson!
Such a great follow-up. It's a continuation to the cliffhanger at the end of Book 1. And it was SO GOOD, which I expected nothing less from Ms. Elle Kayson, who is one of my faves. Still the same 4 POVs. Taleah comes home from college due to a family emergency and the drama picks up from there and it gets JUICY. Keeps you guessing until the end. LOVED IT!
