VT Bonds is turning out to be an author i enjoy reading.
The storyline is engaging,and the characters are likeable.
Ruthless Mr. Ricco is a good example,and i enjoyed reading this one.
The first in the Brutal Billionaire Bosses series,it’s a standalone with a happy after.
It tells the story of how Brook and Matteo get the second chance they deserve.
Brook has had a rough time….when her father found out her mother had cancer,he kicked them both out of his life,but kept her mother’s money.
She found a way to get them both through the cancer treatments,but her dream of becoming a lawyer were gone.
Because her father made her becoming one impossible at the same time…..
And the boy she thought she might have a future with?
He turned his back on her!
But things aren’t what they seemed at the time…..
Matteo thought she’d done something she didn’t….with his brother.
Who she didn’t even like!
But now that he understood what really happened,he did his best to make things right with her!
I know,i know! Misunderstandings aren’t the most engaging plots,but VT Bonds made it work.
Add in the fact that Brook díd become a lawyer,and she wanted to make her father pay for the hell she and her mother went through because of him,and the story held my interest throughout.
Ending up a solid 3,5 🌟 story.

This was a great story with amazing characters. They were high school friends and had crushes on each other, but a misunderstanding had them going in separate directions and enemies. Years later they reconnected and their path begins. he hires her as his assistant and the drama angst had me all caught up in them to see how it ends for these two.
