Trapped in a life that looks perfect on paper, Emily Wilder is beginning to notice the cracks.

A fiancé who commands every room

A boss threatening her job

A life that isn't her own

As her fiancé, Drew, heads off for a week-long conference, the silence he usually fills, becomes silent once again.

When a series of notes appear on the building's shared noticeboard - sparked by a bin night dispute - Emily finds herself connecting with a stranger who seems to see her.

But growth rarely comes without upheaval. As Emily begins to imagine a life that's truly her own, she must

4.5 stars, I really loved this story and the characters were brilliant. It only loses half a star for some editorial misses that slightly jarred the read. I would definitely read another book by this author.

A story of finding yourself and putting yourself first, noticeboard neighbours is chicken soup for the soul. There is humour, sadness and happiness in equal measure, showcasing Mackay’s talents as an author and creating a fantastic read

I honestly could not put this book down!!! The main character Emily was amazing, loved her characters growth (truly an inspiration to all the girls out there)
I also loved the ending and how you could imagine a life beyond the book for the characters for yourself.
Ps… I hate drew 😂

Noticeboard Neighbours is a real tonic, the author has created characters and situations that you really see in your mind and imagine experiencing. The main character starts off small and continues to grow in confidence and self worth, helped by her family and friends, and an unseen neighbour who she communicates with through a series of notes. Ideal holiday read!
