4.5 stars, I really loved this story and the characters were brilliant. It only loses half a star for some editorial misses that slightly jarred the read. I would definitely read another book by this author.
A story of finding yourself and putting yourself first, noticeboard neighbours is chicken soup for the soul. There is humour, sadness and happiness in equal measure, showcasing Mackay’s talents as an author and creating a fantastic read
A beautiful book about a young woman working out who she is in this world. A journey of friendship, family and self discovery. A cosy Sunday afternoon read.
I honestly could not put this book down!!! The main character Emily was amazing, loved her characters growth (truly an inspiration to all the girls out there) I also loved the ending and how you could imagine a life beyond the book for the characters for yourself. Ps… I hate drew 😂
An incredible captivating and unique story. I honestly couldn’t put this book down, the characters are all so multidimensional and the story is rich and heartwarming.
Noticeboard Neighbours is a real tonic, the author has created characters and situations that you really see in your mind and imagine experiencing. The main character starts off small and continues to grow in confidence and self worth, helped by her family and friends, and an unseen neighbour who she communicates with through a series of notes. Ideal holiday read!
A compelling and relatable story about breaking free from a controlled life. Emily’s journey of self discovery is engaging, with a touch of mystery that keeps things interesting. A short but meaningful read about finding your voice.
