Shadows From Our Past
TODAY- Presley’s past was left behind—that was until it walked right up to her at the bar, opening the doors to the world she slammed shut. She wasn’t prepared to face him. She didn’t have the words or the strength to explain. Most of all she didn’t have the ability to control the lustful desire he elicited from her. In the past, it was hot and sexy and most of all fun. In those days she craved all of him. She craved the need he pulled from her because he was always there to satisfy every lustful thought she had. But that was not possible anymore-she couldn’t go there with him. The past needed to stay in the past, and that included him. Betrayed by her own body, it only took a heartbeat of time for the desire to creep along her skin. Like sand in an hour glass, her body was being filled and drained in the same moment. Filled with lust and drained of breathe. To be this close to him, to smell him—she needed to taste him. He ignited her core even after all the years that have passed. But she couldn’t. All those times they had together blissfully in love—before she left. Before she left him brokenhearted and completely in the dark. Seeing her again was a shock. On one hand he wanted to take her right then and there, feel her body pressed against his body again. He wanted to take what was his, what had always been his. But on the other hand he wanted to demand she explain herself and then he’d walk away. Walk away from her this time. Make her feel the hurt. Gain his pride back. An eye for an eye type thing.
But could he do that? Could he leave her? Could he extinguish the embers that have been refueled in just the breathe of time it took for him to know it was her?

From the very first page I was hooked. Fell in love with all the characters.
Can’t wait for the next book to come out and to read/learn more about the other characters that were introduced in this book.
Little mystery, crime, romance, fun and emotional all in one.
