A cozy, emotional small-town romance about choosing love, building family, and discovering that some people are meant for you.
Eliza Darlington is doing her best to keep her distance—from her meddling family, her messy past, and especially from the sunshine single dad who keeps showing up at her coffee hut with sweet smiles and steamy glances.
Nate Winters has his hands full running Honeybrook Hollow’s favorite diner and raising his daughter. Falling for Eliza? Not part of the plan. But the more time they spend together—cooking, flirting, and maybe falling in love—the harder it is to stay away.
When her secret ex shows up to open a rival restaurant, the town’s annual food festival turns into more than just a culinary competition. Eliza must choose between protecting the people she loves… and finally fighting for the future she wants.
Filled with cozy charm, slow-burn kisses, and one determined four-year-old, Meant for You is a feel-good romance about second chances, small-town secrets, and the kind of love that feels like home.
Nora Everly is a lifelong bookworm. She started reading the good stuff once she was tall enough to sneak the romance novels off the top of her mother’s bookshelf and it has been non-stop ever since. Once upon a time she was a substitute teacher and an educational assistant. Now, she’s a writer and stay at home mom to two small humans and one fat cat. Nora lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family and her overactive imagination.
This book turned out to be superrrrr cozy and adorable. I would want to live in a town like Honeybrook Hollow because the grandma’s there are absolutely perfection as they had me giggling throughout the book. They literally take the grandma title very seriously by having their families backs and maybe doing some meddling along the way. I am 100% hitting up the coffee shop AND diner for some delicious home cooked meals!
Single Dad, Nate, and his daughter, Tilly, officially move to Honeybrook Hollow to start a slower pace of life but what Nate did not expect was to encounter Eliza, a prickly coffee-slinging soft girl who catches his heart instantly. The two are constantly crossing one another’s path and the town’s annual taste-off is setting to become high stakes and for secrets to come out. Graham, Eliza’s secret ex-boyfriend has entered the competition and he’s bringing “new advancements” to the town, but will the townspeople be accepting on the shiny new object or continue with traditional values?
I am team Diner Dad and Team Waffles the Reindeer (because the stuffy sounded so cute)!
Big thank you to Nora Everly for the ARC of Meant for You (Honeybrook Hollow #4), releasing February 10, 2026!
This is my second book by her—I always devour them in one sitting. It’s classic Hallmark heart with a light sprinkle of spice.
Meant for You is pure cozy sweetness. The slow-burn connection between Eliza and Nate feels so genuine. Swoony single-dad diner owner, his adorable four-year-old daughter who steals every scene, lovable animals, and meddling grandma.
Great for slow-burn lovers, family vibes, and Valentine’s Day reads. Can be enjoyed fully as a standalone!
I’m going to walk into the woods and let the raccoons claim me.
The hardware store was first. I needed screws and brackets for the fence, but Tilly treated the place like a gallery. She inspected paint swatches with great seriousness— declaring yellow “too shouty” and blue “sad but polite”— and asked the clerk if dogs were allowed inside because Lois liked meeting new people. The clerk laughed and said yes while pointing to a canister of dog treats he kept on the checkout counter...I grabbed dog food and listened to a detailed explanation about why Lois preferred the blue bag over the red one, even though, as Tilly pointed out, “she cannot read, but she can feel vibes.”
Tilly stared at the cartons like I’d just revealed a magic trick. “You make it?” “From scratch,” I confirmed. Her mouth fell open. She looked up at Nate, awed. “She’s fancy.”
“I like you,” she said decisively. “You smell happy, like flowers and coffee.
I’d sworn her to secrecy with the kind of dramatic gravitas normally reserved for mafia confessions. “You breathe a word of this to anyone, and I’ll start putting decaf in your morning espresso,” I’d warned. Her gasp had been appropriately horrified. “You wouldn’t dare.”
A customer in a puffer vest murmured, “She’s better than Netflix,” to her friend as she took her drink and backed away, eyes still on the drama like she didn’t want to miss the season finale.
“Men. So dramatic the lot of you,” She shot Graham a sharp look, then let her gaze flick down just enough. “Funny how those big egos usually cover… other deficiencies.”
I want to egg his car. Or slash his tires. Or write fake reviews about how his risotto tastes like vinegar and smells like feet.
My Review:
This slow-burning romance was a delightfully fun, easy-to-follow, snort-worthy, and deliciously entertaining read. I fell right into the story without reading the previous installments and didn’t struggle a bit, despite the occasional horror of the interference of annoying angst. However, I now want to backtrack and read them all since I enjoyed this one so much.
The main characters were known in their community as the Coffee Elf and Hot Diner Dad. I adored this endearing couple, enjoyed their storylines, and reveled in the clever snark and sharp wit generously sprinkled throughout. It was rather painful to reduce the three pages of well-honed insights, riotously amusing observations, and glitter-filled highlights that I had collected on my precious Kindle and decide which of the bright and shiny jewels to include with my review. Nora Everly has mad skills!
Eliza Darlington is determined to keep her life simple and guarded but she can’t deny her growing connection with Nate Winters and his little girl. As their bond deepens, Eliza’s carefully kept distance is threatened by the return of a secret ex. With tensions rising during the town’s annual food festival, Eliza must decide whether to retreat once again or finally fight for love, community, and the future she wants.
Meant For You was a cute story that gave Hallmark Movie vibes. I loved the chemistry and banter between Eliza and Nate. Nora did a great job capturing the essence of small town, especially with the nosiness. I liked how the animals reflected back to the main characters: Nate with his chocolate lab to match his golden retriever personality and Eliza with her cats all being playful and stubborn.
One thing I wish I would have known going in is there is another book where Eliza and Nate first meet - Merry Meet Cute. Although not listed as part of the Honeybrook Hollow series, and does provide a back story to the couple. Meant For You felt like something was missing when I first read it, as I had no idea how Eliza and Nate first met, that they already had exchanged phone numbers. I would recommend reading the novella first.
Tropes:

Thank you to author Nora Everly for this digital ARC copy of the book in exchange for my honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.
Thank you to Nora Everly, for giving me the opportunity to read in advance.
MMC/FMC: Nate and Eiza
Tropes: * Small town romance * Second chance at love * Friends to more * Finding home * Found family * Single dad * Slow burn
Safety: Cracked door romance. It’s open, but you’re standing at the threshold, peeking through. Mentions of gaslighting and borderline DV behaviours (not MMC/FMC)
New(ish) to town, and slowing down, Nate took over the diner, and his and Eliza’s world orbited each other. There’s attraction, but nothing has quite taken place. Until her ex comes to town, and his plans start to threaten Nate’s business.
I liked them together; they were cute. There was a little banter, but there was an underlying sweetness to everything. In fact, they were downright adorable.
The ‘friendly’ competition, the cozy times cooking together, and the sweet formation of a new family. And the nicknames? Bless…!
“A big-city chef needing to manipulate and threaten the competition to win a small-town Taste-off… that’s really sad, Graham.”
I loved the way that the townspeople had Graham pegged. They didn’t like him, and I don’t know how the author managed to do it. But every time he was in a scene, it felt slimy… So kudos for drawing out that feeling.
This was a wonderful, cozy and sweet small-town romance. Full of charm, meddling townspeople, supportive family and a delightful little girl, this story will win your heart.
Just finished reading an advanced copy of a book that was just released on February 10th called, Meant for You. This is about a woman named Eliza, she feels like she doesn't deserve love, like she's too much so she keeps her distance from anyone trying to get close. Nate is a single dad, new to town, and just took over the town's diner from his grandparents. When Nate meets Eliza at her coffee shop, he is instantly captivated by her warm smile and sense of humor. They start spending time together and the pull between them is undeniable, but then Eliza's ex comes back to town stirring up trouble for her as well as opening a rival restaurant. Eliza feels like she has to step away from Nate to protect him, his family, and his diner. But Nate knows what's between them is real and he's willing to fight for it, for her. This was such a warm, cozy romance! This story gave all the best small town, Gilmore girls vibes. It had found family, meddling grandmas, adorable animals, lots of coffee, the most loveable four year old, a food festival, and a slow burn romance that's sweeter than cherry pie! 😉 I didn't realize this was book 4 when I got the arc (my own fault), but now I will absolutely be going back and reading the other books in this series because I adored this book and want more of this charming small town! 💖📚
Thank you to the author and her team for this ARC of Meant for You, in exchange for an honest review.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this ARC! This was my first dive into the Honeybrook Hollow series and I really enjoyed it. Definitely can be read as a standalone, but as always you would get a deeper understanding of the dynamics if you start in order.
This is very much has a Gilmore Girls vibe. It's even referenced in the book a few times. It's cozy, minimal spice with everyone's favorite happy ending.
Story follow Eliza who is runs a coffee shop and is definitely guarded due to a past relationship, but also feeling like the odd one out in her family. Then you got "Hot Diner Dad" Nate who moves to Honeybrook Hollow to take over his grandparents diner.
I appreciate the build up of the relationship in this book. Yes there is an instant connection, but also "dating." Nate does his best to meet Eliza were she is at. I did find Eliza annoying at times. She stood her own way and felt like she was just having a pity party. There was a lot of pushing away from Eliza and Nate was a little more patient than I would have been. I wish it explored the cooking aspect more. Eliza working towards getting that passion back, but also them practicing for the competition.
Tilly is the star of this book. She is fun and emotionally aware of the adults around her. Everyone love them some meddling grandmas too.
Meant for You is the fourth book in the Honeybrook Hollow series, which follows the charming Darlington sisters; this installment focusing on Eliza. While it’s the fourth book, it easily works as a standalone, so newcomers won’t feel lost.
This is a cosy, heartwarming romance that’s full of charm. Single dad Nate moves back to Honeybrook Hollow to take over the local diner from his grandparents, quickly earning the nickname “Hot Diner Dad.” His young daughter, Tilly, is absolutely delightful, wise beyond her years and adorably precocious. Eliza, also recently returned to town, and now runs the local coffee shop. She’s still recovering from a difficult breakup, though she hasn’t shared the details with anyone.
The romance is a slow burn, with challenges that feel realistic and relatable. The sense of family is strong throughout, both in Eliza and Nate’s relationships with their grandmothers, who love to meddle but always with the best intentions, and with Eliza’s sisters playing supportive, key roles. The banter between Eliza and Nate is fun and engaging, and Tilly brings an extra spark that makes the story even more enjoyable.
Overall, Meant for You is a wholesome, comforting romance with charm, humour, and heart, a really lovely read.
Meant for You completely pulled me in with its quiet intensity and emotional depth. This is the kind of romance that doesn’t rely on big, dramatic moments to make you feel something—it builds slowly, intentionally, and with so much heart. I found myself sinking into the story, appreciating the pauses, the glances, and the unspoken feelings just as much as the more intimate moments.
What I loved most was how safe this book felt emotionally. The love here is shown through consistency, patience, and care, which made the romance feel grounded and real. The chemistry is subtle but powerful, and when the spice does appear, it feels earned and perfectly placed rather than overwhelming.
This story is tender, cozy, and quietly addictive. If you enjoy slow-burn romances with strong emotional connection, green-flag energy, and characters who feel genuine, I think this one will really resonate with you. It’s the kind of book that stays with you after you turn the last page.
Nora Everly, thank you making my weekend. Meant for You is a wondeful meet cute romance. That it takes place in Honeybrook Hollow made it an absolute joy to read. I closed the book after laughing hard and smiling until my face hurt.
The romance reader in me was so happy watching the slow burn romance develop between Eliza Darlington and Nate Winters. Eliza has found refuge in her Grandma's Coffee Cabin hiding from her past. Nate has come to run his grandparents restaurant, Pennywhistle Pantry and give his daughter, Tilly, a better life. Warning---get ready to fall head over hills in love with Tilly. She is the most precious little girl. Nate is the most swoonworthy single dad.
Meant for You is an emotional, dramatic small town romance. The story has all the feels. It is one of those stories that I will be revisiting for all the happy moments and the swoonworthy romance. The town busy bodies kept me on my toes. The family dynamics throughout the story had me excited for the next book in the series.
Meant for You is too cute for words! Eliza Darlington is the youngest and quietest of the Darlington sisters. Meant for You lets you meet the real Eliza behind her snarky facade. Single dad Nate Winters moved back to Honeybrook Hollow to take over his grandparents diner. He wanted a different life for himself and his young daughter Tilly then the fast paced one that he was living in Portland. Eliza has built stone walls around her badly damaged heart, but Nate and Tilly's kindness and sweetness seeps in anyway. Meant for You is a really emotional story but in a great way. It's a slow burn but it needs to be after what Eliza experienced not only in her last relationship but in her childhood as well. As with all the Honeybrook Hollow books, it stands alone but you will see appearances from all the Darlington sisters as well as Grandma and Grandpa Darlington. I adore this family as well as this sweet fictional town. It was told from dual POV and don't worry, there's some heat with all that sweet!
Meant for You by Nora Everly is a heartfelt, emotional romance that beautifully balances tenderness, chemistry, and genuine character growth, making the connection between the main characters feel natural and deeply meaningful. I especially loved getting to visit beloved characters from previous books while also meeting wonderful new ones who added even more heart to the story. Their journey isn’t just about falling in love, but about learning to trust, heal, and believe in happiness again. The emotional moments felt sincere without becoming too heavy, and the sweeter scenes brought just the right amount of warmth and hope. If you enjoy a slow-burn romance where the feelings build in a truly satisfying way, this is definitely a book for you. With strong emotions, found-family vibes, and an uplifting ending, Meant for You is a touching, comforting love story that reminds you the right person often arrives exactly when you need them most.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A pair of meddling grandmothers make sure that the sweet “coffee elf” and the hot “diner dad” find their happily ever after.
Meant for You is the fourth book in the Honeybrook Hollow series. There is a holiday novella, Merry Meet Cute, that introduces the MCs for this book but Meant for You can be read as a stand-alone. This small town romance does contain open-door content.
The two MCs are very much alike. Both have left behind that big city life in hopes of finding something a bit more slow paced and family centered. The town is full of nosy friends and family so secrets don’t stay secrets for long. Nate and Eliza’s grandmothers were really the stars of the book for me. Those ladies were basically picking out china patterns before the MCs had their 1st date. I did like that while they were very involved, they never pushed Nate or Eliza into something they were uncomfortable with. Tilly is also the most perfect four year old and she deserves all the hot chocolate in the world.
Meant for You is a wonderful addition to the Honeybrook Hollow series. If you haven’t read any of the author’s books yet, this is a great series to start with. I can’t wait for book five!
Meant For You is Book 4 in the Honeybrook Hollow Series by Nora Everly & I was lucky enough to receive another ARC in this fantastic series ❤️ This was another emotional, cozy small town romance winner🥰🥰 which brings us back to the Darlington sisters. This story really was about the power of family & choosing the love you deserve. The sweet slow burn between Eliza & Nate just feels like home & the way Nate listens to Eliza’s feelings ,what she needs all whilst keeping her heart safe was 🥰 ……& Tilly was just the cutest! Such a great series & can’t wait to get Cara’s story❤️
“And I knew without a doubt, I’d never stop loving her. Love doesn’t always come easy. But when it’s meant for you, it finds you. And it never lets go.”
Thank you Nora Everly for the opportunity to read this ARC! This was my first read in the Honeybrook Hollow series and I really enjoyed it. I will be reading the previous books ASAP!!
Eliza runs a cute little coffee shop and is emotionally guarded due to a past relationship with her ex-boyfriend and also her relationship with her parents is very strained.
Nate who moves to Honeybrook Hollow to take over his grandparents diner after leaving his career as a lawyer in a big city to be a more present father to his cute little girl Tilly.
And of course we have to note that this story comes with 2 meddling grandmas and some fierce sisters.
Tropes: *Small town romance * Second chance at love * Friends to more * Found family * Single dad * Slow burn
Oh my! I loved this book so much I couldn’t put it down (cue staying up late, not enough sleep). A beautiful, damaged woman, a reformed lawyer and an adorable little girl with a cute dog, how could you not love it. Eliza felt that she was invisible - a not so nice ex will do that to you. Nate feels the best place for him and his adorable Tilly is the place he has always felt was home. Nate works to break down Eliza’s barriers and together they forge a united front against her ex, who has returned to Honeybrook Hollow to open a restaurant. I laughed at all the good parts and empathized when it was necessary. Truly, you are going to love this book.
This was a cozy read and I loved Eliza and Nate together. The meddling grandmothers made this book the best. The characters were well written and I enjoyed the small town romance. Nate is the steady to Eliza’s fears and uncertainty. Here is a couple of passages I highlighted:
nothing truly important in this town happens without two things: coffee and meddling grandmothers.
Tilly nodded fiercely. “And you make my dad happy,” she added, as if that settled the matter entirely. I felt my throat close around something big and unmanageable as Eliza pressed a kiss into Tilly’s hair and whispered, “He makes me happy, too. And so do you.”
Honeybrook Hollow Book 4, Meant For You from author Nora Everly was a slow-burn, cozy read. Nate makes Eliza feel seen for maybe the first time in her life. He is patient and kind, content to take things slow. Eliza is learning from past mistakes that she is capable of flourishing on her own and deserving of love and respect. The two find themselves falling in love with a little help from their grandmas and Nate’s four year old, Tilly. This small-town romance gave me all the feels and had me cheering them on and wanting more.
3.5 stars -- I liked the FMC and MMC, and I liked the way they were building their relationship. Tilly is very cute, and so are the pets. The grandmothers are entertaining. However, everyone had the same conversations with each other several times. I wanted to ask them if they didn't remember discussing this the day before. Eliza keeps telling herself that she feels a given way for the first time in ages, but she just said that a few chapters ago. The dialogues between Eliza and Nate were enjoyable, though.
A great addition to the Darlington sisters saga in Honeybrooke Hollow! This time we follow Eliza from the Coffee cabin and the hot diner dad Nate (with his adorable daughter Tilly) as they try to navigate small town life and their mutual attraction, when Eliza's secret ex comes back to town. I loved being back to Honeybrooke Hollow, the meddling grandmas, the over the top Darlington sisters and Tilly. Nate and Eliza had great chemistry, and I enjoyed their slow burning romance (though Graham really gave me the ick!). Can't wait for Cara's turn!
I have read so many of Nora Everly’s books. I love the Darlington sisters and their crazy family story. This was a sweet story about Eliza finding her footing again. She grew up in dysfunction and then replicated it in her relationship. She finally realized it and fled to Honeybrook Hollow. Here she meets Nate and his daughter Tilly. He falls hard and fast. Watching him stand by her while she works through past hurt and dysfunction is so sweet. It is a great sweet story that is easy to read.
Next up is Cara!!! I can’t wait for more Darlington sisters to come. Bring it on.
I had the pleasure of reading the prequel of this book, and definitely recommend to other readers, doing so before reading this book. That said, this was one of the best romance books that I have ever read! Two amazing people, with an adorable dog and precocious little girl, were just what the story line needed. Can’t wait to read more of your books.
I had the opportunity to read this ARC that I received from the author.
This is the second book I've read from the Honeybrook Hollow series, and it was cozy and sweet- perfect for reading while snuggled up and enjoying a peaceful day.
Nate was my favorite, a strong but quiet presence who didnt jump in right away to solve all of Eliza's problems. He stayed by her side, giving her support and letting her know he was ready to step in anytime she needed. Hot Diner Dad was so great with his daughter and pup, it was swoon-worthy.
Eliza feels like she doesnt quite fit in her own family and town, and she has to find her own strength to take back her space and peace of mind. I felt she was a little too timid and afraid given the background we were given- the plot between her and her ex was a little vague and his threatening presence didnt always make sense. However, she was so sweet with Tilly (Nate's adorable daughter), and Eliza's family backing her up gave all the good feels.
A cute, easy read for small-town romance readers who love a good single dad, slow burn with minimal spice ❤️
Eliza has been hurt in the past and while she is attracted to Nate, who has just moved back to Honeybrook Hollow, her fears prevent her from pursuing more with him.
I loved how protective and patient Nate was. Those lunch “dates” they had were amazing. He was also an amazing dad to cute Tilly. This was a delicious slow burn that rewards you tremendously by the end of the book.
I love the small town, slow burn romances and Nora Everly did not disappoint. Meant For You is one of the coziest reads of the season. I love the banter and spice between Eliza and Nate. Plus the world of Honeybrook Hollow.I seriously did not want to leave. This was such a lovely page turner. Everly is truly becoming one of my favorite authors for 2026!
Everly has become a favorite of mine. Her romances are top notch. But I am always left wanting more. The Honeybrook series can be read as a stand but the series is so good I couldn't put the books down. After I finish, I am always thinking about the characters. Mary Reader received this book from the publisher for review. A favorable review was not required, and all views expressed are our own.
I love stepping into the stories of the Darlington sisters and Honeybrook Hollow. Meant for you has all the feels mixed with the comfort of coming home and family who stand by you no matter what. This a great addition to the series, highly recommend.
I enjoyed Nate and Eliza. I liked how Nate validates her feelings. Eliza is struggling and Nate is there for her. This is a slow burn but the build up was good. I liked the storyline and the characters. Overall it was a good read.
Thank you for the chance to be an ARC reader. Meant for you is an amazing book! I absolutely love the cozy warm home town vibes! This is a must ready. This was my first book of Nora Everly but I will be reading them all.
4.5⭐️ I received an Arc of ‘Meant for You’ and I’m now a Nora Everly fan! This story was so cute. I was hooked from the first chapter. Not too spicy but you could feel the tension. Great side characters and who doesn’t love some meddling grandmothers? I can’t wait to read the rest of this series!
