WAR IS OVEEER, FUCKING FINALLY HIRANO TAIGA!!
I LOVE THIS VOLUME SOOOO MUCH because Hirano finally realized his feelings for Kagi in his so Hirano-nerdy way 🥺 the color panel where he says “I love him” means so much to me
THE LAST PANEL KILLED ME, THAT’S HOW YOU END A VOLUME HELL YEAH!!
PS: Kagiura is stronger than me because I would have kissed him since the very first day :)

transferring my thoughts for each chapter here (previously parked under volume 5 whoops, will continue thoughts for volume 7 here until volume 7 appears on goodreads)

usually i spoiler spoilers but sometimes i may forget so proceed with caution
update: november 24, 2025 (missed out on writing reviews when the chapters actually dropped because i was stuck writing essays instead of reviews in uni #freemejk but i did read them at the time!! writing this after re-reading chapters 32 to 33a + the new chapter 33b)
32: man get this two together to explicitly talk about (jk i love pining)
33a: kagi not wanting hirano to feel jealousy (even tho he thinks it'll be nice to know that hirano is jealous over him) because he felt that feeling before and it sucks ueueuueueeuu
33b: we're definitely embarking on the 'what are we' arc and i am so here for it (no more hirano in denial guys omg, after 4 years 😭) the conversation between kagi and niibashi + how he avoids touching hirano's lower back when hugging him really shows how much kagi is taking into account how hirano feels about being touched at certain places
they are basically already emotionally dating in my books (if that makes sense??) like i remember seeing someone say something like "hirano and kagiura basically jumped from the state of being platonic friends to the state of being family members that love each other, and they skipped the whole dating thing in the middle. and that's why hirano's in denial, because he doesn't see what he's feeling and doing as romantic" but finally we're out of that stage!!! because hirano look here, the way you want to be with kagi and see him happy and stuff isn't just platonic and familial feelings and thank goodness for this
ok back to the actual chapter help i always end up rambling when it comes to this series 😭

current chapter count: chapter 29 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH (will be delving into spoilers!)
hirano, as a character, is very dear to my heart because his exploration of his feelings and how he perceives romantic stuffs helped me to confirm that i am indeed somewhere on the ace spectrum and that there's nothing wrong or weird about that i still really want to date !!! (probably demisexual, but heavy on the probably because labels aren't that important to me personally)
now, obviously hirano and I are completely different people. And, everyone is different. everyone has slightly different meanings of what 'love' means to them, for platonic and romantic love. everyone has different comfort levels with physical touch, and sometimes it boils down to very specific things or scenarios where they're alright with something and not alright with it in another time. there's lots of discussions online about why that is, but personally, i see it as hirano being someone who likes to be the one to initiate physical touch, which i relate to a lot
the way hirano's character is fleshed out and handled feels so careful and so genuine. i love how the way different people feel love and how it is expressed is shown so poignantly here. kagi may want to do more of the physical and sexual stuff with hirano, while hirano may not think of those things, but the ending of chapter 29 where yeah catch me CRYING ) shows that despite their differences towards, like, physical attraction, ultimately what pulls them together and why they love each other is very similar
i can FEEL chapter 30 being a pivotal part of their relationship, and even if a confession or even becoming a couple isn't what their ending culminates in, i can still see the two being extremely close. i am so stoked

current chapter count: chapter 30 i am stressed pls chapter 31 pls (( spoilers ahead but i try and make it vague ))
ok, so i think we are all stressed after that last panel HAHAHA
i don't really blame kagi tbh because man this is kind of a tricky situation,, so many emotions are running high, although also we can't be certain what exactly happened in the last panel which is why i am so anticipating the next chapter ahhhhsjsjsshshjshjshjshj, but regardless, i trust the communication between kagi and hirano. even if kagi's actions might make hirano more confused (since i personally don't think hirano would like it? but then again he might? or maybe he like it if he's the one initiating? or after some time had passed? who knows, everyone's different) i trust in their trust with each other. but fr this is one tricky situation and man i can only make a full judgement after the next chapter drops. i am so... agagshhsg
also help i love the use of the venn diagram hirano draws to show the overlap in how hirano and kagi love each other, since as a student i cannot help but think about stuff i learnt in school outside of school (much to my chagrin), and school shit always pop up in convos between me and my friends and i don't really see that as much in stories set in a school setting so it was just funny to see the venn diagram (it's not funny anymore when i'm the one solving venn diagram questions involving set notations and probability though 💀)
but anyway, i heard that the author was really excited to draw chapter 31 so how can i not be excited too. pls send help

Sé a lo que me enfrento cuando me empiezo un manga tan bueno como este en emisión, y es que sabes que eres fan de verdad cuando entras cada día a las páginas para mirar si hay alguna actualización.
Esta obra me ha comquistado. Hay algunas obras donde, al estar en emisión, se pierde cierta magia entre las esperas de los capítulos. Pero siento que Hirano to Kagiura tiene algo especial que hace que sigas enganchada pase lo que pase.
En este volumen parece que ya estan empezando a pasar cosad en la cabeza de Hirano a nivel de plantearse si él querria darle un beso a Kagiura. AMIGA DATE CUENTA, O SEA 😭😭🙏¿Quién de nosotras se lo dice? Creo que esto era un poco adelanto de que dentro de poco ya va a empezar a haber más movimiento romántico entre ellos.
Luego, LO DE QUE HIRANO VEA A KAGIURA TAN CANSADO Y SE PREOCUPE POR ÉL, Y QUE KAGIURA LE DIGA QUE NO QUIERE CANCELAR LAS SESIONES DE ESTUDIO MATUTINAS PORQUE SON SU PARTE FAVORITA DEL DÍA 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺😭😭😭😭
Otra parte que me ha encantado de este manga han sido las escenas de los abrazos. Me encanta que Sho Harusono proyecte sus obras sin “ukes” ni “semes”. Me encanta que ella defina las relaciones de una manera más profunda que eso. Y creo que, en Sasaki to Miyano lo vimos con la mítica escena donde Miyano dice que no era “uke” y Sasaki respondía que Miyano le gustaba por ser él mismo. Y en este caso, lo vemos con esta escena de los abrazos (o es la sensación que me da a mí). Realmente me gusta que la autora haya mantenido esta idea también con este manga.
Me hace relativa gracia que a los dos les guste abrazar, pero no ser abrazados, creo que habrá mucho juego y bromas pesadas entre ellos sobre ese tema JAJAJA
Y la verdad, el final de este volumen (el capítulo 29 entero, podría decirse), me sorprendió bastante. Primero de todo, que Hirano le haya preguntado al mismo Kagiura sobre lo del beso… JAJAJAJA bro los tiene grandes. O sea cómo le preguntas a la persona que en el fondo sabes que te está empezando a gustar/te gusta “oye, pero si fuésemos pareja nos daríamos besitos, no? 🥺”. Bueno, esta escena claramente creo que despierta algo en Kagiura, porque bueno… (not only que ya me he leído el capítulo 30, pero era bastante obvio que el preguntarlo primero haría que pasasen cositas).
Y para terminar, lo que me ha parecido precioso es que ambos compartan la misma definición de lo que significa el amor. Me ha parecido el momento más bonito en probablemente todo el manga. Y que el volumen se acabe así… Bua.
De verdad que tengo a la autora en un pedestal del que no se me va a caer nunca. Es una ídola. Su arte no sólo se proyecta en sus dibujos, sino en la manera en la que hace que sus personajes sean algo más que personajes. Su manera de escribir y contar las obras va más allá de cualquier otro bl que me haya leído.
Tengo muchísimas ganas, no sólo de seguir viendo qué pasará con estos dos, sino de ver qué otras parejas o historias nos brinda esta maravillosa autora.
Tengo mil cosas más que decir, pero creo que por ahora he dicho lo esencial JAJSJS. Nos vemos en el volumen 7 🫡.

I don't know which chapters this will cover but I'm up to date with chapter 32.
I can't believe that after all this time (at least 4 years since I started following the manga), Hirano is not in full denial.
Also, I've always thought he was somewhere in the asexual spectrum and chapter 31 reinforced that idea for me.
I'm so excited to see how Harasuno will navigate their relationship

I'm legit not sure if chapter 30 and 31 are from this volume or the next, but oh my lord Hirano went from being kissed to slaping Kagiura to later telling him he wants to be with him THEN HUGGING HIM. HOLY SHIT!!

Estoy deseando que avancen mas en su relación y no se corten en ser cariñosos, el hecho de que Hirano este tan metido en intentar comprender como se siente Kiagura y genuinamente haya intentado empezar algo en fin loco hace falta mas dedicacion asi en el mundo !!
