Leur cadeau de Noël

Rate this book

It was fine but I am not a huge fan of main characters getting dog walked all over and not defending themselves and I especially hate plus size main characters who never realize they are beautiful or worthy of love until a man tells them. I don’t particularly enjoy when that happened to any character really but it is something about plus size ones that authors love to do.

This main character doesn’t believe she is pretty at any point in this book and as soon as one of the men tells her she all of a sudden flips a switch out of no where.

DNFing this now because there’s no way a book should take that long to read. ALMOST 2 MONTHS???? You’ve gotta be kidding me (I probably shouldn’t have dragged it out for so long either but I’d pretty much forgotten that this was my CR for a long time ahahaha)😭😭😭 Tbf, this doesn’t seem like a bad book…just bleh. The whole “fmc not being able to stand up for herself in front of her family and always needing the guys to step in” got old real fast. Other than that, I don’t really have any complaints except for the fact that I wasn’t motivated to finish this book and even the smutty scenes were okay (normally I’m a hoe for smutty RH books) but I digress. Despite not having finished this, I think it should be a safe read (one of the H’s was celibate after an ONS with the h where he took her virginity a couple of years ago. The other heroes seemed fine and not particularly hoey even though they were experienced so there’s that ig🤷🏻‍♀️)

Pictured below: Me everytime the h acted like a doormat with the fam

🎶 “You said, "Forever, " in the end I fought it. Please be honest, are we better for it?” 🎶

When a slip of the tongue turns into a full-blown scandal, she accidentally tells her family she’s dating her ex’s three older brothers. What started as a harmless lie to save face at her ex’s Christmas wedding to her sister spirals out of control when Lennox, Rhett, and Sawyer decide to play along.

—*•.¸♡ ★·.·☾ ゚。´THOUGHTS ゚☁︎。`·.·★ ♡¸.•*⋆—

She fixed the brothers’ feud with one conversation and suddenly they decided to call a truce. Honestly, she should quit baking because she might have a real career in family therapy (note the sarcasm). On a serious note, her family was awful. She should have cut them off ages ago. That so-called sister of hers going after her ex of two years? Evil behavior. The Sullivan brothers, though, loved and cherished her. They made her feel appreciated and seen, and she should be proud of how far she has come and everything she accomplished.

I have no idea what to say, but before I can even start to formulate words, not one, not two, but three voices suddenly speak up in unison, saying, “Me.”

“Wait, what? You… you’re dating my brothers? All three of them?”

Rhett recovers first, clearing his throat and shrugging. “Yeah.”

Lennox, Rhett, and Sawyer took their roles seriously. They made sure she was taken care of, made sure she ate, and defended her against her family while still knowing she could handle herself. They even took care of her when she had painful periods. They bid two hundred thousand for a baking lesson with her and wired fifty million to her account after the third-act drama because they wanted her to talk to them again, and it worked. They told her to keep it for her bakery because they believed in her talent. They practically worshiped her. They were so far gone, and part of them had always been interested in her, even when she was with their other brother.

—*•.¸♡ ★·.·☾ ゚。´OVERALL゚☁︎。`·.·★ ♡¸.•*⋆—

This could have been so much better without the third-act breakup drama. There was no reason for him to believe her sister’s so-called evidence that painted them in a bad light, especially when he already knew her sister was against her from the start. It just felt unnecessary and out of character. If she had just talked to them, this whole thing could have been avoided. The miscommunication was pointless, and it made the ending feel weaker than it should have.

this feels very YA, plot & writing style (minus the spice, ofc) but let’s be real, i stuck around purely for the steamy goodness 🤭

Violet’s family is extremely unlikable and I wish Violet gave them more of an “F-you” moment… she’s a softie though so she tolerated their BS. can’t be me 🤷🏻‍♀️

overall, it’s a quick, cute holiday read 👀

Spicy Holiday RH Romance

Great read!!!! Well written and engaging. This book is set before the holidays and has some holiday themes in it but I think could be read any time in the year!

Now this book doesn’t go too in depth with their backgrounds but there was still a nice mix of plot and spice.

The spice in this was top tier as always with Eva’s book, seriously there’s some super 🔥 moments 🪭 There was angst, chemistry and great banter.

The MMCs used to be super close but had a falling out, the FMC really helped repair the rift between them being the sweet and caring person she was.
I loved all the MMCs they each had their own baggage but you could almost feel how much they cared for Violet and showed her every chance they got.

Ugh!! Her twin and ex were the worst kind of people, she definitely upgraded with his brothers. Her mom really sucked too. It was nice to see Violet’s growth from the beginning of the book.

No cheating, no OWD with a HEA

DNF!! (Spoilers)

Embarrassing asf. The second hand embarrassment I felt was insane 🙏🏻💀 (feeling bad for fmc bro 😞) but she was embarrassing too. The banter bw the guys was even more embarrassing. And the way she always had the worst replies and the way she always made every single thing about her self made me think that the mother and sister were right about hating her. I would've hated her too. God she was annoying. She acted like a little awkward child dining with the grown ups.

Don't get me wrong but like we understand you are a baker girl but chill out bro. The whole book was about their careers and past lives and embarrassing PDA. And it wasn't even the good kind. The cute, spicy, sweet kind. We all love pda but it shouldn't be so embarrassing that they always have to make every moment about themselves like it's literally your sister's wedding bro. And we understand he is your ex. But it was a whole ass year ago and the ex is pathetic. Get over it. She didn't have to be so damn awkward the whole time as if the ex and her broke up just recently. The beginning was so bad, I couldn't continue. It was ruining my whole day. The way they always kinda just took turns kissing her in front of everyone, and everyone staring at them was awkward as hell. Like... Imagining that happening irl was giving me second hand embarrassment. They all acted like pubescent kids who didn't know how to reverse harem or wtv.

I love Eva ashwood and as a matter of fact, I have been a die hard fan of an old serie of her I don't really remember. And when I found she released a new book for the holiday, I was super excited to read it after reading the blurb. But it was very disappointing. Maybe the previous book I read of her was from a ghost writer or maybe this one was ghost written? Cuz I can't believe the same author wrote this.

Loved it!
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Overall it was a pretty good book, it had a dash of spice before the 50% mark and then became pretty heated after that.
I wish there was more of a big “F” you moment towards her family after everything they put her through. Especially to her evil twin lol. The karma that her twin and ex received wasn’t nearly enough as it should have been. I was hoping for something like they’d announce they were divorcing or something on a bigger scale. And tbh why would Violet even go to that dinner after everything her family has done to her? She was a weak FMC through and through. Even in the instances where she “stood up” for herself, it wasn’t a wow factor moment. She should have really told them where the sun doesn’t shine.
Other than that, I loved the MMC’s. Each one so different and I loved watching their relationship be repaired throughout the book.
The spice was hot. Rhett?? Yessss 🥵🥵
I love love love that she got with her ex’s brothers. That was probably the best F you toward her ex and her sister. Her sister clearly was jealous of her and couldn’t stand to not have what she did. Weirdo lol.

Violet's (FMC) Ex-boyfriend is marrying her backstabbing sister and her disinterested parents are completely on her sisters side leaving her in a dilemma when she's forced to go to the wedding. Add to that her sister making her maid of honour to add to the complications. Only for unexpected help to come in the shape of her Ex's brothers - Sawyer, Lennox and Rhett with an unusual form of help. Close proximity (living together) forces the brothers to confront their issues as well as helping them get closer to Violet.

I hated Violet's Ex and her sister. They were nasty pieces of work especially her sister who was sly and underhand in her tactics to get one up on Violet. I loved Violet's dynamic with brothers. It was sweet and endearing as well as steamy too. A cracking read.

Christmas themed, small town why choose (mmmf), fake dating, ex fiances brothers, millionaire mmcs, somewhat struggling plus size bakery owner fmc, mmcs had a falling out several years prior, fmc family betrayal, on page shaming of fmc being infertile (not by mmcs), painful period representation, foreign object insertion, anal play, pierced mmcs

I have read most of Eva Ashwoods books, and really enjoy her writing. This book was no different. More back story would have helped this book some. A few more pages on why the rift happened, their interconnected past, Violet's life beyond the bakery and her family, maybe give her a couple friends?

Finished this book in 2 days, cozy, steamy quick read. Pacing was good until the "dream" chapters, would have been better as a prologue as it pulled me out of the main story slightly, or even as a retelling by either Violet or Lennox to the other brothers.

Spicy scenes were believable and well done. Solo play and group play, very focused on the woman. They take care of her during a painful period, stand up for her against the ex fiance and her sister on several occasions. 3rd act breakup that felt forced. I don't see why Violet would have believed the sister, even with the audio. On page infertility shaming by ex fiance and sister. Solo Toy and group unconventional toy play, anal play without lube, size difference in mmcs.

Ending felt forced and somewhat unbelievable, too rushed and too unrealistic. 1 year later epilogue showed some growth with Violet's  demeanor regarding her family, but would have been better if she just walked away from them all.

Overall a very comfy read. It felt cozy and warm. There is some angst and miscommunication due to Violet's inability to stand up for herself, but she doesn't read like a complete push over all the time. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys why choose or fake dating - Eva just knows how to make it feel real.

I know some of us can relate to having sħïttý families, but I pray to whatever higher power there is that a family like Vi's never finds me. Gods those people were awful; her sister deserves to burn in the deepest part of hell. Her mother needs to be run over repeatedly by a stampede of elephants, and her dad was okay; he finally grew some bolas at the end. The guys were perfectly imperfect, and I loved them. They weren't sure what they were doing when they announced to her crappy family that they were dating her, but little did they know that it would change their lives for the better. And Vi, my beautiful, wonderful, amazing chicken nugget, don’t ever let people talk down to you again, even if they're “family."
I'm glad that I got to see her grow more confident and learned to love herself. Sometimes we are our worst critics, and we need to stop and listen to how those close to us see us.

Love Violet and the guys!

This was a great why-choose Christmas read. The guys were perfect from the very first introduction. Violet was trying to make it through life with her exhausting family, which included a terrible sister and mother. Her ex was crappy, and the disrespect she dealt with was unnecessary. She was so down on herself because of it. The guys helped her understand how worthy she truly was, and eventually she started to believe in herself. Getting there was a bit tough, and she annoyed me at times. But all ends well. She gets her happily ever after, and others receive a dash of karma, which, in my opinion, should have been more. I'm going to miss these characters. Awesome read. 4.5 stars!

Rounded up from 4.5 🌟

I still can't believe I was fast enough to grab one of the early copies of this but my goodness I'm so glad I did. Eva is such a wonderful writer and I always love her stories. This one was no exception. I love Violet and the guys. I liked the guys all so much that I'm not even sure I have a favourite. The way that the fake dating very quickly turned into more and the way they cared for Violet was *chefs kiss*. Overall an excellently spicy holiday read I would totally recommend it!

5 star spice but just okay plot.

After reading Ashwood's "Philthy Wicked Psychos" series I had high expectations for this stand alone. She writes spice so well!

However, this plot centers around a toxic family. The daughter is bullied by narcissistic family members and it just wasn't fun to read. Maybe it hits too close to home for me? Not much revenge to those characters either.

There is an accident that happens but it was so random and I felt like it was unnecessary. This book won't deter me from reading her other books, just not a fam of this one.

This is a spicy holiday read. Violet and the guys are great. I loved how Violet bridged the gap between the brothers. I loved that the guys took care of her in a way she never had before. The storyline is good and I loved the characters. I even teared up a bit. Overall it was a really good story I had a hard time putting down.

Violet is in the middle of running her business and prepping for her sister’s wedding…..to her ex. Lennox, Rhett Sawyer are back for their brother’s wedding, and are bringing their own baggage. One awkward family dinner later, Violet is now trying to juggle three dates to a wedding. Lines get blurred on what’s the lie and what’s the truth.

Quick holiday read with a HEA. If Stars Hallow, Hallmark Movies and Eva’s spice had a baby- this is the book!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Theirs for the Holidays is a cozy, spicy holiday romance that delivers on every “why choose” promise. The chaos begins when Violet’s ex’s three older brothers all claim they are dating her at the same time. What starts as a fake relationship quickly stirs up old feelings for one of them and unexpected chemistry with the others.

You will love to hate Violet’s sister, and karma definitely finds a way to even things out. Each connection feels unique, and the chemistry between them all makes the story feel grounded and real. The spice was chef's kiss and is centered around her pleasure, and yes they get theirs too. I loved how the brothers helped Violet start to see herself through their eyes, and not the harsh lens her toxic family created.

It is sexy, funny, and full of heart. A perfect holiday escape that wraps up beautifully as a standalone.

I loved this! Violet is so hard on herself but that is because of how her mother and twin sister have treated her forever. When Violet is guilt tripped into attending dinner at her parent’s house with her sister and the sister’s fiancé (who is Violet’s ex!) things get interesting.

Final thoughts: 3 stars. There were some parts that were fun, but Violet's sister was horrible and the insecurities Violet had really became overdone after a while. I also love why choose romance but sometimes with siblings it can easily cross the line into ick factor. My main issue were editing errors, such as inconsistencies that any editor worth their salt should be able to catch. Lennox (and the other brothers) is pierced. On one page, he says something to the effect of "it feels good for those we're with." But then, in the same chapter, just a few pages later, he is thinking about how he hasn't been with anyone else since the first time he slept with Violet. Either: he was pierced when they did it the first time, but Violet had zero reaction/it just wasn't brought up in the flashback chapter, OR that was a dumb statement that an editor should've caught because he HASN'T been with anyone else. It also feels more like Sawyer's personality to be the one to make that comment in the first place. Stuff like that should easily be caught and addressed by an editor. The spice was enjoyable but also not the best I've ever read.

Overall, I thought Filthy Rich Santas was Ashwood's better Christmas-y why choose romance.

Devoured it! Holy moly this is my new favourite why choose ❤️‍🔥 I mean your exes 3 older brothers, Violet you lucky girl.

Lennox, Sawyer and Rhett oh my lord these men 😍 they have such different personalities but together they make the perfect spicy sandwich.
They are all so sweet and think the world of Violet, why can’t these men be real.

Violet is a sweetheart and I felt so bad for her, she has the worst family in the world. Her ex is marrying her sister and nobody says a word about it, well good riddance. She totally deserves to be worshipped like the queen she is and thank god she now has the best men in the world.

Everything about this story is perfection, it’s fake dating at its finest with spice to die for ❤️‍🔥

There is a third act breakup 🥺 due to a slight miscommunication and Violet believing her evil sister over the men who adore her. But it doesn’t last very long and thankfully she comes to her senses.

Thank you to Eva for the ARC.

If you’re looking for a holiday romance that wraps heartbreak, healing, and heat all into one cozy package, Theirs for the Holidays by Eva Ashwood will absolutely enchant you.

Rating: 4⭐️
Spice: 3🌶️

I usually reach for an Eva Ashwood book when I’m in the mood for something dark and dirty with a plot that’s deliciously twisted. So imagine my surprise when Theirs for the Holidays turned out to be this warm, emotional, perfectly chaotic holiday romance that somehow still gave me all the spice I crave.

Violet’s story is such a beautiful mix of heartbreak and healing. Her family is an absolute nightmare—honestly, I would’ve punted Isabella and Andrew into a snowbank five seconds after meeting them—but her connection with Lennox, Sawyer, and Rhett? Pure magic.

When her ex’s three older brothers come back to town, their fractured bond is still hanging by a thread, yet they put aside their differences to stand by Violet. What starts as a fake-dating favor quickly becomes something so much deeper. The emotional weight behind their story caught me completely off guard in the best way.

Each brother brings something different to the table, and together they’re exactly what Violet needs to piece herself back together after years of hurt and gaslighting. Watching them heal each other—and rediscover a little holiday joy in the process—was what made this book shine.

Ashwood’s writing is tender and expressive, balancing heart and heat perfectly. The small-town setting and that blend of humor, hurt, and genuine warmth hit all the right notes for me.

The spice? Hot and sweet in equal measure—indulgent without ever losing its emotion. Theirs for the Holidays isn’t just a festive fling; it’s a story about love, forgiveness, and choosing joy even when it feels impossible.

A little fake dating, a lot of spice, and all the small-town, found-family feels—Theirs for the Holidays is the kind of story that makes you believe love, no matter how messy, can still feel like home.

Favorite Quotes:
“Even if you never took us back, I still would have been yours. No one else would have ever seen this tattoo.”

“We’re about to fuck the word friend all the way out of your vocabulary.”

“I’m starting to plan for a future with her, which was never in the plan, but somehow feels right.”

Well... I really did not like this one. I found myself rolling my eyes throughout the book at the cringy and unrealistic moments that happened. This book is also very similar to her last holiday romance. A sad, self-deprecating girl who has a hateful family and is taught her worth through her relationship with multiple men and unrealistic sex. It was fun when I read it the first time, but to basically read the same story again, but done poorly, was, in fact, not fun. And there were no men having an all-out brawl with each other for the aforementioned girl in this one! What's a girl got to do??

... Anyway, I reached 60%, and I really wanted to DNF, but I am a stubborn bitch, so I skim read the rest of it. And when I say skim, I mean I was flipping pages faster than whatever this chick's name was could orgasm. Also, you're telling me that one of these men got a tattoo of her name right over his junk even though he wasn't sure if she would take them back because he would 'always be hers'??!! Also also, they deposited 5 MILLION into her bank account to get her to talk to them!!!! And lastly, the crème de la crème, all three men had different piercings in their d****. I've never rolled my eyes so hard while reading a scene.

Should have just quit while I was ahead, but I guess I can at least count this towards my reading goal for the year. I am feeling really conflicted about Eva Ashwood because at this point her books are either a fun hit or a gigantic miss for me. I loved the Filthy Wicked Psycho series, and I enjoyed her Christmas book last year, but that's it. I loathed the Dirty Broken Savages series, and I am now adding this to the list of her books that I hate. I probably will not be picking up any more of her work, except to reread the one series by her that I enjoy.

The only reason it's not one star is that there were a handful of moments that made me laugh, but I can not, in good faith, give it more than 1.5. I could rant about all of the things that I did not like about this book, but I honestly don't want to give any more of my time to this story.

So we have Violet who owns her own small bakery that her family doesn't support so she basically doesn't have support from them they (mom and sister) think that it's just a hobby. The worst is her Ex is marrying her sister. So when the wedding festivities start her ex's three brothers show up and when her family starts asking about tsking her plus one away the three brothers say their her plus one. Let's just say jaw dropping lol. The three brothers Rhett, Lennox and Sawyer stay with Violet during the time before the wedding. The three brothers have their own baggage to deal with as they have not been around each other since they sold their company years ago. Violet ends up being the key to bring them closer and also help her regain her self esteem and confidence. The dynamic between these four is amazing, the attention and reassurance they give her is chef's kiss. I did hate the way her mother and sister treated her. The mother had her sister on this high pedestal it made me sick. The sister was far worse it was like if Violet had something she wanted and was always tearing her down and was manipulating. I wanted to reach through the book and slap her especially when she wanted to take the building back that was given to Violet by their grandma which was still in her sister's name. I'm glad she finally stood up to her family in the end and set boundaries. This book was amazing but then again I feel anything Eva writes is amazing!!! Definitely recommend if you want a why choose, forced proximity and Christmas themed book to snuggle under a blanket with a hot cup of tea, coffee and enjoy!!!!
