One last season. Two broken hearts. Can they keep it professional? Angelica Shields is back for the third season of Hotel Bombshell. With pressure from the studio, a breakup with Hope in her near past, and the prospects of hotel ownership dangling at her fingertips, it’s time for Angelica to make a choice. But before the first episode is wrapped, she makes a drunken confession of love and ends up hospitalized after a car wreck. Unable to work and with her former protege threatening to replace her, Angelica must fight to survive.Because she can’t handle another broken heart.
Reeling from the chaos of divorce and a broken family, celebrity chef Hope Lawrence wants to focus on nothing other than making her daughter’s life as balanced and stress free as possible. But working with her ex-husband and her ex-girlfriend on the same set shatters all those dreams. Desperate to hold herself together, Hope never expects Angelica’s confession or just how earth shattering it is to hear those three little words.
With a show to save again and fractured relationships to mend, will they find a way to heal the wounds they caused? Or are they doomed to be canceled?

This series is only gonna get 5 stars for me. Call it blind loyalty or whatever… I literally went from loving the start to being pissy in the middle to making sure I’m still signed up for my weekly email short stories by the end. Thank you Adrian! Sundays at 9pm I know I’m spending a little bit of time with some of my fave characters.
Basically I had to internally hold my tongue at the stupidity of Hope and Angelica all through some of the middle parts, most prominently, these claims of ‘being careful’ and protecting the status of their relationship… FALSE. These ladies cannot go through their work day as professionals and figure out their flirting after hours so my annoyance is stemmed from how much ammunition they feed to Josef. It’s fine because we need our villain, but why are they so dense about the reality of their behaviour in public? I felt like I needed to see their acknowledgment like “okay I just needed to kiss you but that might bite us later.” Literally would’ve saved me a headache. Also minor, but I was certain that Eva would hear that phone conversation between Hope and Rachel, beyond daft not to take that call privately given that Eva is at the child version of her wits end and doesn’t even know how to cope right now.
Now Josef, I think I wrote this after book 1 or 2, but if I didn’t, the guy reads like an involuntary celibate. Like why are you so obsessed, so clearly sad about your life, cos why do you have this much time and energy for a relationship that has mostly positive effects for your beloved show (all those social media LGBTQ fans bringing in ratings he gushed over so hard). I could not despise him more after this season and clearly we’re in for a HATER filled season 4 where he’s involved. That being said, he’ll be going up against the full and united forced of Hope and Angelica plus a supportive production cast; WOOFF, I’d hate to be him.
But this relationship between Rex and Angelica was so awesome and Adrian certainly redeemed Rex from his little fall from Grace (or whatever the Nanny was called. He fell off her.)
Can’t say the hotels themselves were that memorable this season. In the past seasons I was able to link a hotel to an aspect of Hope and Angelica’s interactions a little more. These seemed to all blend into one and felt repetitive even though I know they tackled various issues in many locations.
If I was rating it as a stand alone, probably 3.5 stars honestly but as I said… loyal and ready for book 4.
More rug pulls for Ange and Hope on and off screen This third installment in the Hotel Bombshell series kicks off before season three of the show and continues thru the post season shenanigans, bringing heat, drama, a few dashes of cuteness and romance among other things. Mains Angelica and Hope get the rug pulled from under them in different ways, individually and together, much like the TV show they host together with its plot twists and off screen staff meddling. Secondary characters from the last two books (some but not all beloved ones) pop up again here to add to the humor, drama, cuteness, angst and more, with some new faces added to the mix. I'd been waiting somewhat (okay, quite) impatiently to read this book after the way book two ended, curious to see how it'd all pan out for everyone and now having blazed thru this book in a couple days of binge reading, I'm ready to devour the next book and however many others there may be in this series or related universe spinoffs. My feelings about some characters changed for sure while reading this book and I didn't expect that to happen so kudos to author Adrian J Smith for working that magic to get my allegiances to shift and/or expand. There were some plot elements I saw coming a bit ahead of time but surprises as well (partly in the hotels and restaurants the show featured) so it held my interest while feeding my curiosity. If you want a break from television but still want drama and romance and steamy heated scenes (on and off screen), plus some sweet moments and coo/'awww' worthy ones, with characters you'll cheer for or boo for their good or bad deeds, this book, really this series is a great way to get your tv drama fix without the tv or other screen (unless you're reading the ebook that is). Author Smith has created an entertaining world and distinct characters to populate it that feels real on one level and wish fulfillment (in the best ways) on others. My only quibbles with No Holds Barred are that despite its length it did feel at times like there was too much going on it in so a minor plot thread might not resolve or get mentioned again (though it could happen/come back in book four) and the larger cast of characters meant less time on the page for some of the returning secondaries. There were also a few moments where the pacing seemed to lag a bit but that may be due to the fact that so much is going on that any letting up on that will feel slow by comparison.
I’m so relieved that the author began on the note that she did (no spoilers). For me, it really set the tone for the rest of the book as well as set a positive example of how to navigate rocky relationships (of all kinds). Will working directly with ‘the devil you know’ be the path to renewal?
*I totally appreciate that the author addressed hostile work environments. There’s nothing like the threat of job loss and/or relationship scandal to stir up emotions and unnecessary angst among staff. The place where we spend the vast majority of our time should be a safe haven. Most especially since the workplace is where we earn our livelihood and often receive health benefits. Driving someone away from employment (directly or indirectly) is one of the lowest behaviors I’ve witnessed IRL - and there are a few doozies in this book! Power and privilege are to be used to protect others, not take advantage of them.
*I really like the business model for the show. Not only does it work as far as a TV series, but it’s a great example for people to request feedback about their endeavors. I’d say that it takes a pretty strong ego to bring in consultants, let alone to have it taped and aired. ‘No one likes to have their vulnerabilities and failures on full display for the world to judge.’
*The fast pace of filming an episode a week then travelling sometimes wreaks havoc on all involved. Assistants, film crew, hotel customers, etc. are all privy to the mayhem that is “Hotel Bombshell”.
*And poor Eva! My heart breaks for this lil gal. IMHO, the author portrays her parents as loving, yet flawed, and trying. I hope that all of Eva’s adults continue striving to make her world more peaceful.
*In addition to the business of food & hospitality, this series is a microcosm of relationships. Like cooking, partnering with people (on various levels) takes coordination & communication, planning & preparation, managing & measuring. And that doesn’t even include variables such as availability of ingredients (bandwidth) or nuances of seasonings (temperament). Dishes and relationships also different purposes: some are hot & spicy or extremely sweet (meant to be taken in small doses), others are nutrient-dense and practical. And let’s not forget belly-filling comfort food whose sustenance is meant to keep us grounded and to last! Unfortunately, there are foods that & people who do not have our best interests at heart. Just as we’re mindful of food allergies, let’s keep an eye out for toxic people who also give us hives, rashes, stomachaches, etc. “Listen to your gut” applies to both eating and loving.
Apologies for such a long review! There is soooo much good stuff in here…like a veritable smorgasbord of life issues to tuck in to. Bon appetit!
No Holds Barred is the third installment in the Hotel Bombshell series and I’m low-key obsessed with this collection. Not only is each book completely addicting you can sign up to receive several short stories that take place between each season of the books. I’m also thrilled that we will be getting a fourth season of Hotel Bombshell and possibly a fifth. This third installment felt like such a redeeming moment for Hope with the beauty of mending hearts and second chances.
The book continues with Angelica and Hope as they navigate filming a third season and explore the idea of starting a new relationship with each other. Even with all the drama and forced tension brought on by Josef this book felt more optimistic. I was completely rooting for Angelica and Hope and loved seeing Hope’s ex-husband Rex being supportive of their relationship.
The drama with Josef is mind blowing. The fact this man gets away with his behavior for so long (years!) is astounding. Even when he seems to get his due the jerk just won’t let up. It’s actually becoming a bit more alarming and I’m anticipating even more disturbing actions from him in season four.
I highly recommend this series. It has not lost its luster after three seasons and I’m looking forward to reading more.
After viewing Hope so negatively in the second season of the Hotel Bombshell series, I'm relieved she redeemed herself during this third season. The uneasiness between Angelica and Hope is well characterized and the added tension from old and new characters is palpable and adds some angst. I loved the character growth and the fellowship the cast has developed after working together for several years. For me, No Holds Barred continues to provide the behind the scenes drama I can imagine taking place during filming of any of the myriad of reality TV home improvement shows out there. I'm looking forward to what's in store for them all in the next season.
I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
This is the third book in this series which really cannot be read as a standalone so by this stage us readers are completely invested in where any relationship between Hope and Angelica might be going. I have enjoyed the concept of the reality TV show and how working on and off camera links into the storyline but I think the reasons for all the tension in the book are being stretched a bit too far for me now. It has been very much of the same push pull as in the previous two books and it is just wearing a bit thin and I don't think the characters are sticking true to their roots anymore. Having said this I still enjoyed the book and have enough interest to want to continue this journey to its conclusion into the next seasons.
I am so happy to be ARC reader for Adrian, and I love this series from book one! This book is so emotional and dramatic, bittersweet, inspiring and so addictive! It is like watching an excellent TV show, with endearing leads and colorful yet relatable side characters. Happy to see the slow burn of beautiful love developing between the uptight ice queen manager and her younger talented celebrity chef, with complicated situation among the chaos of life. Adrian is a master of creating vulnerable and strong and flawed characters that are unforgettable! I just can't get enough of the story and looking forward to the next one!
This book is fantastic. The character development throughout the story is incredible. Hope grows so much, learning to think before she speaks and realizing that her actions have consequences and affect the people around her.
Angelica learns that keeping everything to herself does more harm than good. She discovers how to trust others, believe in their words, and understand that it’s okay to let people in and form friendships.
Together, Hope and Angelica learn how to communicate and be patient with one another. They realize that working together instead of against each other makes a huge difference, ultimately becoming a strong team.
This is the third book in the Hotel Bombshell series. I do believe it can be read alone but to get the background on Hope and Angelica you need to read the first two books. You will not be sorry you did. The entire series is outstanding but this book is just WOW. The series is one of my all time favorites and I will be reading it again when the entire series is out. If I am lucky enough for Adrian to put out the audio version I will be getting them too. It is that good! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The 3rd book in this series is keeping the story going. Angelica and Hope are amazing together and are becoming a force to be reckoned with. The support one another and make sure they are taking care of each other. They had to go through some drama and dealing with disrespectful people, but they are putting each other first in this relationship. Adrian has put another great book out there. I literally would read this book whenever I had a free moment. Definitely worth the time to read this series.
I love this series and the updates that appear in my inbox. The characters are so well written that you feel a part of the story. At some point I expect Hope and Ange to appear at the door saying they’re ready to start the next season. The suspense, hotel and cast drama will have you hooked.
I normally get my books from kindle unlimited this is a series I definitely wanted to own. I hope I reread these books they are that good.
Whoa this time around Adrain J. Smith is not letting the characters hold back so much! I am really waiting for the gloves to come off in the final book of the series. The build up has been intense. These women are strong and intense. I love the settings, how Ms Smith has grown the characters and driven them to this point of very high tension. I am so looking forward to the final scenes of book four!
The awesomeness continues in book 3 of the Hotel Bombshell series. I love how the characters evolve and the new ones that come into play. The drama is still high with the ass (aka Josef) always sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong. Hope and Angelica take things to a whole new level and I love every moment of it. With an ending that leaves you hanging I can’t wait for book 4.
This series just keeps getting better! Love that this author writes “taboo” subjects, and does it so well the books slide right into mainstream reader’s must read piles. Excellent characters, fun fanfic type setting, and plain simple good writing keeps me coming back for more. Start at book one and settle in for a great ride.
I love this book series and the 3rd did not disappoint. To know there is a 4th and a 5th makes me all happy. I will not give spoilers so do yourself a favor, read these books, follow this Author and read all her work.
I’m obsessed with these characters and I am truly glad they finally found each other. Even with all the whirlwind drama and secrets they found a way of path forward giving them a chance of a happy ever after.
Wow what an phenomenal carry on I love learning more about all the characters and their dynamic I really can't get enough of this series. They have captured me in a way that i forget everything accept the story just phenomenal a must-read congratulations
Best book in the series for me. I wasn’t sold on the first 2, but this one was so much better story wise. I will always read everything by this author. Eagerly waiting for the final book in this series!
There’s tension around every corner when Hope and Angelica return for a third season of Hotel Bombshell, and it’s delicious! Despite a heart-rending breakup, desire and longing boil beneath the surface of the offscreen and onscreen interactions between the two costars. Add in a heaping helping of heated conflict amongst hotel and kitchen staff plus a dash of sabotage from an egomaniacal producer, and it’s a recipe for the spiciest, angst-filled season yet!
“No Holds Barred” is the third book in the series, and with each installment, I enjoy it more. If you liked the first two, this one is a must-read. The characters' personalities are becoming more refined, making the story even more engaging. I was initially uncertain about the direction after the first book, but now I'm really enjoying the series and look forward to the next release.
ARC Review for No Holds Barred by Adrian Smith. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
No Holds Barred is the third installment of Adrian’s Hotel Bombshell series. It’s no surprise that I continue to be absolutely obsessed with this series. These books just keep getting better!! I’m so invested in these MCs and their journeys and I know I’m setting myself up for the worst book hangover in a really long time. This book and series as a whole has everything I’m looking for in a read. The spice continues to elevate with each installment, their connection and dedication to each other is unwavering and determined. Adrian does an incredible job with the development of this story. The timing of events is on point, the angst waxes and wanes throughout the series seamlessly, and is just enough to keep you hooked and wanting for more. Angelica and Hope are destiny in the making and I’m so here for it. I’m anxiously awaiting book four and cannot wait to see how these two powerhouse MCs navigate what’s coming next!! Bravo Adrian Smith. Another easy 5-Star read!
