This was my first time reading this author, and I have to say—it was an entertaining ride! I absolutely loved the instalove vibes. I fully subscribe to the delulu lifestyle the author brought to the table. YES—wife me up and drop this dick in me, please! LMBO! Don’t judge me, but Zeke could get it anytime and anyplace, and it’s obvious why Lanelle folded like a lawn chair. The Miami backdrop added such a fun, vibrant energy. Something about that city just gets me hype. And when Coconut Grove was mentioned? I was like, s/o to my Bahamian massive! LOL! Zeke’s brother, Amar aka Boa, brought the perfect comedic relief. I thoroughly enjoyed him and the tight-knit family dynamic. The way he cracked on their uncle took me clean out! This book had the recipe to be great, but it didn’t fully follow through. The editing was rough—errors were everywhere. It was clear that if an editor was used, they shouldn’t be used again. And honestly, the book should’ve been longer. While I’m a big instalove fan, I would’ve liked to see Zeke put in a little more work to court Lanelle. That would’ve helped balance the romance with the secondary storyline, which also needed more development. Overall, the story wasn’t bad—it had real potential. I’m hoping the author takes the time to fully flesh things out on-page in the next book if this is going to be a series.

I always enjoy an opposites attract sort of vibe. Clean cut new physician Lanelle has an affinity for bad boys, and she found one as soon as she moves to Miami, in Zeke (Lethal). Their coupling was quick, but it worked. I love the closeness of the Malone tribe, especially how Zeke's brother Boa, always had some comedic commentary.

I had a feeling Shaw was shady, but the backstory of Zeke's parents, was a shocker! Decent story, however, the editing needs to be tightened up. There were errors and typos throughout the entire read. Hope Boa and Jurnee get a story next.

Lanelle is a doctor who moves to Miami for her dream job. While settling into her new life, she crosses paths with Zeke “Lethal,” a chemist who also happens to be a trained killer from birth, if we are being honest. And listen, I love a man who is fully obsessed with his woman. Lethal was completely over Lanelle in the best way.

I really enjoyed both of their family dynamics. Their relationships felt healthy for the most part with real love and real support, which is so refreshing to see in this type of story.

So why 3.5 stars Erica? Petty reason incoming because the use of The 48 Laws of Power took me out. I know it is silly, but it is my truth. Outside of that, the story feels complete even though there is a part 2, and it served as a great introduction to this author’s writing style.

Read Now!! You won’t be disappointed

This book was good! It was so much better than what I was expecting and I loved that too! This was a good example of not judging a book by its cover. I enjoyed Lanelle and her whole story and that she had to work to get to where she was. I feel as though I saw her as being me or one of my friends. The MFC had to work hard to achieve her dreams and it made it all more believable. The relationship between Zeke and Lanelle was one I enjoyed watching grow. I loved watching him fall for her. Zeke was so hard but soooo good with her. And the scenes with Boa really had me LOL because he was so unabashedly himself and also just said whatever was on his mind. I’m interested and giddy to think about his story and how he will find his person. This book kept me entertained throughout the story, the spice was there, the humor, the love, along with the danger and craziness of Boa. I can truly say I thoroughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Now I’m just impatiently waiting for more from the Malone family😊❤️

WHAT A RIDE!!

THIS BOOK EDITING WAS TRASH, AND AT TIMES IT TOOK AWAY FROM THE STORY. WITH THAT BEING SAID, THIS WAS STILL A BEAUTIFUL COOPERATE HOOD, MIXED WITH TONS OF LAUGHTER AND CHAOS LOVE STORY🤦🏽‍♀️

THAT DANG BOA WAS A WHOLE FOOL🤦🏽‍♀️! HE KEPT ME LAUGHING, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT CAME TO THEIR UNCLE🤣🤣🤣. HOPEFULLY PART 2 WILL GIVE US AN INSIGHT ON HIM AND JOURNEE🥰

ZEKE & DR.LANELLE MONROE ❤️‍🔥. ZEKE WAS MOST DEFINITELY THE PERFECT COMBINATION OF COOPERATE AND HOOD😜! LANELLEA WOMAN THAT CARTER TOOK HER FROM METHOD TO MIAMI WHERE SHE ENCOUNTERS A MAN WHO’S MOUTH DISGUSTS HER, BUT HIS OVERALL AURA AND COCKINESS TURNS HER ON AT THE SAME TIME😔. HIS GROWTH WAS AMAZING TO EXPERIENCE AND THE WAY HE PROVIDED, PROTECTED, AND PLEASURE HER MIND BODY AND SOUL😍. HE WAS VERY INTENTIONAL IN THE PRESSURE HE APPLIED WHEN IT CAME TO INSISTING THAT SHE NEW WHO SHE BELONGED TO❤️‍🔥. THAT ENDING 🫶🏽

READ IT!!!

Loved It!!

Zeke saw and conquered!! Even in not being sure what it was about Lanelle he still chased her. Then when he figured out what he wanted he doubled down!! I loved that even though Lanelle was accomplished she was real within herself about what she wanted and what was for her. I am so glad she did not shy away from the connection and instinct that allowed her to love Zeke naturally!! Five stars Ms. Wallace🥰

I enjoyed this read! Lethal fell for Lanelle at 1st sight! They made an interesting pair! I knew right away something was off with Dr. Shaw, but not to the extent that it was! Im so glad Lethal and his family were able to rescue Lanelle! I had no doubt that they wouldn't! Boa was hillarious! I would have to agree his Uncle not stuttering anymore was very surprising! I was so glad their father recovered from his ordeal! I can't believe Lethal and Lanelle had twins. On to Boa and Jurnee's story!

I really enjoyed reading this book. I love when both main characters are strong. I'm hoping we get Boa's book next! My only negative was there was quite a bit of typos and grammar issues. But nothing too bad that I couldn't figure out what the author was trying to say. I will be checking out more of Lory Wallace's books.

3.5

The bones for this story is absolutely here and honestly I loved a lot of the characters and I was INVESTED, so invested that when the author said who the next book would be about I got very excited!! This would have definitely been rated higher but there were some consistency and editing issues that unfortunately would take me out of the story.

Still very enjoyable and entertaining.

Loving you no matter what

Zeke and Lanelle survived the worst to get the best. I love how they had to go through ups and downs to get their family.
Secrets came out, but Zeke made sure his family would be there in the end.
You learn what's important to you after going through the worst thing in life.

Yessssss

This book was soooo good. Zeke didn't play about Lanelle. The spice was spicing from the beginning. But Boa(Zeke's brother) had me literally laughing out loud. I can't wait for his book. The plot twist I never seen coming. Loved the book.

moved very fast and I couldn’t get with the slang or the way the character spoke

The slang was so extra I had to see if the author was African American. This was a very cringy read in my opinion.

???

Like Boa, why was Uncle Pete no longer stuttering? Don’t add something in a book and not resolve it. I don’t like incomplete information.

Too Many Errors

Whilst the storyline was good, there were entirely too many grammatical errors and misused words. If you can get over the mistakes, it's a pretty good read.

Amazing story, Horrible Editing

She is extremely talented, but the endless amount of typos and errors killed the vibe for me. I spent more time reporting typos than reading it.

Hooked From The Beginning to The End

This was one of the best books that I’ve read in a while! There were quite a few typo’s, but the story is great!
