This book got me out of a reading slump. I recently found this book on Lemon8 after being disappointed by several overhyped recommendations from social media influencers, who had high number of followers, before realizing the recommendations came from people who were getting incentives from publishers to push their one-star novels. Some books I was struggling to even finish came from New York Times Bestseller Author's lists. Last Stop tells a story without the annoying profanity that seems to be popular these days. I've learn to love horror movies despite the goofs like the movie Halloween which IMDB reported at least 38 mistakes, but I truly believe this story would make a fantastic horror movie if handled by the right director. Last Stop was easy to read which to me was a relief verses other authors who are more interested in impressing the reader with appealing vocabulary that slows the flow. I could picture the scenes as though I was right there. Other authors go into various tangents that deflect from the storyline but this book kept my interest. Last Stop gets to the point cutting out the fat some other authors feel the need to waste my time with needless information. Although I like Stephen King, in his book Cell, he wrote 30 pages to describe a murder scene in an attempt to make it believable. My gosh, it's fiction for crying out loud; which i did. Yet in his novel Pet Sematary, he incorporates Native American lore depicting the ancient burial grounds as having "gone sour," possessing supernatural powers that can reanimate the dead which was brilliant. What was really interesting to me in the novel Last Stop is the way this author combined different genres which worked very well with this story.
If you are currently in a reading slump or looking for a great place to start your reading journey, I highly recommend picking up the novel Last Stop by Paul Lundy. I am so grateful for this recommendation. If you're looking for a compelling story, follow a group of nurses and see what happens to them on Halloween night.

10/10 would recommend. This book is a MUST READ for any fan of the supernatural/horror genre of literature, particularly for those who enjoy stories about being held captive by a storm. A magnificent piece of horror literature. It was well-written, every paragraph makes you feel, imagine vividly, and wonder. A gripping sense of atmosphere, characters that felt alarmingly real, and a spooky story that escalates slowly to a chaotic climax all made this an enjoyable read. Seriously scary and spooky, a physical manifestation of evil, characters' changing personalities, the nurses experiences increasingly strange and terrifying events. Dark, twisted, and unforgettable. This is horror at its most nightmarish—disturbing imagery, an unrelenting pace, and a story that sticks with you, never drags, and every chapter pulls you deeper into the abyss. If horror is meant to disturb, provoke, and challenge, then Last Stop is horror at its finest. It’s not just a story; it’s an experience, one that leaves you shaken but strangely fulfilled. For readers who want a horror novel that doesn’t hold back this book is essential. You will read more pages than intended for sure in one sitting. I can say as someone who is an avid reader, this is easily in my top 5 favorites of all time. I'm also in the horror book mood with Halloween, so I enjoyed it even more. I look forward to reading more of this authors novels.

I’m tired, and I’d like to go to sleep, but Last Stop traumatized me. Like, IT SCARED THE HELL OUT OF ME. I'm a librocubicularist. A dark cloud of fear that rests over me is to blame for my temporary insomnia. I snuggled in my bed with only my cat for comfort and read this book under the dim glow of my book light. Before dawn, every light in my house was on. This story features a female protagonist, a time traveler, a demon, paranormal activity, and ghosts, all packed with suspense, and I loved it. Great story! The narrative flowed like a raging river, it was well-written. I will eagerly await with a watchful eye for Paul Lundy's next novel.
